Well keep in mind you did not build that according to our government. So I guess I did not earn that and so nothing is mine and everyone owns nothing. Sounds like a free for all coming up soon that or a mass exodus for those who can go.

Hey you all realize that video done in the white house is by government employees and most are military on duty. I knew a guy who got assigned to the white house to take video and photos of the President from the Army. Your tax dollars at work.

It's funny that no-one seems to be able to give a decent explanation right here. How about this: you make the land more fertile. This could be:
1. You remove all the rocks & stones making plowing, seeding, harvesting all easier. 2. You engage in crop rotation for some years, and improve the range of nutrients in the soil. 3. You construct some irrigation channels. 4. You otherwise add some nutrients, e.g., with manure or fertilizer - organic, if necessary. 5. You do other stuff that somehow renders the land more useful or productive.
Is this the kind of answer you're looking for?
Ok so I will have some fun here. So lets get into some deep thoughts, do you acquire the property or does it acquire you? As for the list above lets try number 3, you can only do that if you have water rights and you pump you water out but then your hitting the water table so that is a shared item anyways. Now if you don't have water rights then your accessing water from somewhere else so that means your getting water off someones land who will want something in return or no more water. Now number 4 is where we run into a whole mess of what did you put in the ground, did it go off and spread to other lands around you and so on? The times when one could farm the way they did back about 100 years ago are over unless someone does a reset button on all our electronics but then we will have bigger issues such as making sure the guy next to us does not beat our heads in with a rock probably from their property which will be hard work and then using the bodies as fertilizer will improve the land. Deep thoughts

Single digits!
So I guess we can start testing new lows and that being said some on here in the forum have talked about 2 and 3 dollar coins but what to stop it from going to 1 or lower? I say nothing based on supply and demand.

BFL should NEVER EVER announce a product withe a release date again. They should squirrel away with the VC and profits from FPGAs then one day go: "Oh hey everybody, you can buy this awesome device NOW, we have them in stock"

Let me ask this as a real question and or toss this out there. So earlier in the thread it was asked what is the point of this thread and I am not really sure either except to just do more digging. My question is about the entire pirate40 situation with all of its various connections to other efforts and all the people involved, has this been written up in bitcoin magazine and not just a short article but a long expose? If not then I say that is someone is going to go to all the trouble to connect all of these dots and they don't want to get a lawyer then do a major article on the entire mess. Why do this: so that one we can bring a very clear light on the issue to the entire community, two maybe the press can push the ball harder to make action happen, three it focuses all of these efforts under one solid resource.
Just an idea from someone who played with the pirate40 fire and got burned.

Also if I used by credit card would that not look like a cash loan and then I get hosed on fees? Not seeing the point of this versus a bank. Just another digital wallet but would love more details if this is different.

You know too is that someone posted that Microsoft was developing something with Bitcoin and I know of other in the VC world that are watching Bitcoin so I agree with your analysis. I think there are folks on the sidelines to see how things turn out here by early next year but if this rocket takes off be prepared for Fed involvement and the game changing in a big way probably in six to nine months. For once I am actually glad that the silicon valley hooks are so deep in DC right now because if this thing blows up they will pull hard on DC going too far to shut this down.
I hope, or as our econ friends would say; all things being equal.

If a vigilante threatened and/or attacked Pirate, I bet someone could make a good made-for-tv movie about the whole ordeal. This would also bring mass media attention to bitcoin. Looking for possible movie taglines.
Stop, all movie rights are locked up under this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=105573.0Beat you to it but I make this promise if this does get made into a movie (lifetime would probably be the ones that pick it up but we need a wife to get beaten up) profits will go to the Pirate F'ed me fund.

So I want to toss in my two cents here and so I did a search of Mr. Wilson blog for how much he has talked about Bitcoin. You can see the three entries for yourself: http://gawk.it/search?forum=avc&search_type=blogs&query=BitcoinWhat this tells me is that it is on his radar and I bet he is working on something but I would say he is using his B idea to show his A idea off being the business model fiddle. That being said I think that his Bitcoin B idea might become an A idea next year as he sees how ASIC, halfing and overall market growth happens in the next three months. I would say from an outside point of view the next three months might be the most important time to gauge how Bitcoin will do going forward. I think he will then reevaluate the market and decide that if it is worth his time he will step in and create idea A but if Bitcoin stumbles then he will keep the idea in the B bucket. Just a guess,

All drones will be equipped with ...the technology to sniff out certain chemicals from thousands of feet above our heads. Cool beans! This will allow police to locate people smoking marijuana and put them in the penitentiary for rehabilitation and penance. Excessive amounts of carbon dioxide from BBQ grills could also be located and shut down. The cool part is when we get the hacks from Iran and so we can take over the controls. Free RC planes for everyone, until you get arrested or removed for existence by a military grade drone. Oops and they are coming no matter what.

Solar so no bil Are you joking or telling the truth? lol i didn't know solar power could produce that much electricity, Thats sweet Well it is the internet but I am telling the truth. I have solar on my home and I live in So Cal in one of the sweetest spots to be under the sun for solar in the US. Technically I paid for the pannels so the electric is not free but I was paying for the pannels before I got into bitcoin so I just look at this as helping to pay down my life in general. I payed off the pannels about a year or so ago so I don't get a bill for it but they did cost me. I not going to go into specifics but I have a grip of pannel on my home.
