But the smoking gun, and where Putin once again shows just how masterful of a chess player he is, is the following statement by Tymoshenko, after asked, rhetorically, by her counterparty, "what should we do now with the 8 million Russians that stayed in Ukraine. They are outcasts"... to which she replies: "They must be killed with nuclear weapons."

No, Soviet Union collapsed because of economic inefficiencies.
To be specific with the failure of price discovery mechanism

Ukraine expects to increase domestic gas prices by 40% once discounted import prices from Russia expire, the country’s Energy Minister Yury Prodan told journalists in the European Parliament on Thursday.

so who keeps the 10% ? if the price gets up 40% and the russian discount was 30% who pocket the difference ?

A second wave of Russian military reinforcements has been heading towards Ukraine's eastern border, prior to the formal annexation of the region by Russia on 18 March.

Train loads of Russian tanks, heavy artillery, rocket launchers and armoured troop carriers have been revealed in news media reports and social media posts heading westwards from central Russia and Siberia, while airborne exercises have been conducted in the region.

Two trains were filmed in Saratov on 14 March carrying more than 20 T-90 main battle tanks (MBTs) and several 2S3 152mm self-propelled artillery systems (SPAs). Images also emerged of a station in Omsk, Siberia, showing trains loaded with heavy artillery and rocket launchers.

russian military men love fishing. especially on reaquired coastal locations of crimea.
imo they are waiting for some fanatic/nazi to shoot civilians to get live on TV and then roll in and i quite convinced that the fanatics/nazi will deliver is just matter of time

In 2006, Transnistria held a referendum similar to Sunday's referendum in Crimea, at which 97% of the population voted for independence from Moldova with subsequent accession to Russia

China can't supply Russia with the goods that the eu does. In fact they are also dependent from the EU just like all the Brics.
Machinery ,industrial robots , electronics and electrical equipment that is all the brics countries have failed to produce at the standard need.

Basically without the machinery from the eu and us , China won't be able to produce anything. At least not something that would last more than 10 days.
each country exports their leading products and i dont see much EU exports to russia

(Marina Lewycka): Public clashes between Ukrainians and Russians in the main square in Sevastopol. Ukrainians protesting at Russian interference; Crimean Russians demanding the return of Sevastopol to Russia, and that parliament recognise Russian as the state language. Ukrainian deputies barred from the government building; a Russian "information centre" opening in Sevastopol. Calls from the Ukrainian ministry of defence for an end to the agreement dividing the Black Sea fleet between the Russian and Ukrainian navies. The move is labelled a political provocation by Russian deputies. The presidium of the Crimean parliament announces a referendum on Crimean independence, and the Russian deputy says that Russia is ready to supervise it. A leader of the Russian Society of Crimea threatens armed mutiny and the establishment of a Russian administration in Sevastopol. A Russian navy chief accuses Ukraine of converting some of his Black Sea fleet, and conducting armed assault on his personnel. He threatens to place the fleet on alert. The conflict escalates into terrorism, arson attacks and murder.

Sound familiar? All this happened in 1993, and it has been happening, in some form or other, since at least the 14th century.
enjoy

The same is correct for the bills or voting procedures. Kosovo and Crimea referendums are illegal (denied by constitution) but legitimate (supported by people).
why dont you put on the list the American colonies declaration of independence from UK, no where under the UK law they were allowed to secede  so they should bo back and be a colony again  Grin

I'm sure there is another way , there is always another way.
I am interested to see this way to undo the evolution principle "the strong prey on the weak"

united european nation
no thankyou, millions did die to be independent they did fight a huge amount of wars, should some bureaucrats(parasites and other corrupt public figures) archive something that even Napoleon dint manage to archive ? nope, EU is a abomination, a Frankenstein and should be removed.

recently in history each time europe made its way to some super state level it was Russians density to stop it and destroy it I wonder if this time again Russians need to deal whit European super nation bullshit dreams

When I talk about an united European nation i'm talking about how we , normal people interact with the others not about a central government.
Let's forget those stupid differences we had , let's respect the other traditions and language , be united as a whole.

But this will have to wait , although I desire this , I'm not sure myself I can live that peacefully Wink

the only way to do get there is to have nukes on every country and basically have a mexican stand off  where nobody has the upper hand against others then we all can trade under gold standard and be happy
