161  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: March 23, 2016, 04:07:48 PM
I've been noticing the price usually periodically dropping. The price doesn't exactly drop significantly. Just enough to make people stressed and rather worried. I have always been in a position in which the price's increase has indeed always been a reward for people who truly believe in Bitcoin and care for its well being. It can be rather worrisome when you've placed $400 worth of BTC in your wallet for price increases, then the next day you find that you've lost about $50. Sure it's not a huge number but it's a number nonetheless.

Your complaining about small Bitcoin liquidity, thus stability. You need more people to actively buying/selling Bitcoins at exchanges (and have set buy or sell orders) to get much more stable prices. This has nothing to do with bitcoin's price only rise and never fall though, the rises and falls would be only much slower if at exchanges are more buy and sell orders...
If we need more people basically working and trading Bitcoin, then we will have to find a way to actually advertise this currency for a while. If you cannot simply just find some kind of way to inform the masses and get them to actually try our currency, we may not be able to make this idea a success. How do you suggest we advertise Bitcoin at least?
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you honestly think Bitcoin toys would help us?! on: March 23, 2016, 04:04:57 PM
we can see toy market is quite high so if bitcoin can enter this market than it will not only increase the use of bitcoin  but it will also promote about bitcoin to familes also even to those future guys.

How about a bitMONOPOLY? Bits instead of dollars, exchanges instead of banks. Quite a good way to spend family time with the kids don't you think?  Grin Grin
It does actually sound like a fun thing the create. Is there anyone in this thread or on this site with some kind of general game construction experience perhaps?
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: March 23, 2016, 04:02:24 PM
i think for the time being we can only attract more peple to bitcoin and adopting bitcoin will be the solution for it to go up more but it's not a guaranty to it not to fall down
Of course it's not a guarantee but it's definitely a useful idea and worth a shot. I think if we actually just took the time to really think of a way behind all this, it'd come to full fruition.

actually i think if there is enough people using bitcoin then the price will become stable.
just like how gold price is stable, never 100% but the changes are small.
Exactly. We don't want it stable because then it's more of a currency than I way to actually grow your earnings and full out balance.
164  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: March 23, 2016, 03:57:47 PM
if I donate something I do strongly feel it should be my right to be labeled a donator either way.
The act of donating itself is defined by not requesting something in return.
Otherwise, it would be a service you're buying.

The arbitrary rule that you're rewarded a status title for your donation above a certain threshold is just that, arbitrary.
It's like in my local zoo. If I donate a handful bucks there, they won't be hanging a plaque with my name next to the tiger's enclosure. If I donate a couple thousand bucks, they will.

When did you donate your BTC? What price was BTC at when you donated?
I don't remember precisely, but it had to be somewhere near 10$, so I donated some 200$.
And see, that would be my point. You only donated $200 but you have that title.
165  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: March 23, 2016, 03:30:58 PM
I don't understand why the Bitcoin donation amount isn't lower. Nobody right now would donate 10 BTC if that's equivalent to over $4,000. I personally only want to donate about $50 as that's all I have to give monthly. I wouldn't just give a payment once. I do feel as though it's more genuine when it's a monthly payment to show that genuine care for the community and how well it's thriving. It's wise to take support from time to time but demanding it is a different situation and I'd never condone that. Bringing myself back to the donation status, I don't feel beggars can be choosers. If we donate to you, you should take what amount we can give.
There is no minimum threshold for becoming a donator.
There's just a minimum threshold for receiving the "Donator" title.
Feel free to donate $50 a month if you like.

As it is right now, I personally would not donate to the bitcointalk.org forum anymore.
The main reason being that the forum is already sufficiently funded by selling ads.
Either way, I see it as an unfair advantage to people who basically have that kind of money to give. You are correct in pointing out the fact that the site is funded with ads now so maybe I won't donate. I think more would though if you gave them that title for donating a certain amount monthly. Besides, money eventually runs out. The 4k you gave (or perhaps you donated when BTC was worth $1 each) you were considered a donator by giving $10 so yes, that is the point I'm trying to make.

Edit: actually, I don't want to assume. When did you donate your BTC? What price was BTC at when you donated?

Theymos did that probably so the number of Donator will not explode drastically Roll Eyes
Imagine if Donate amount is lowered with today's prices
Everyone can be a donator that way, and why would anyone be a donator if that rank is almost achievable by almost everyone here

P.S Forum actually doesn't need donation anymore since they got a big ads with a bunch of BTCs paid for that Wink
Fine, I see your point but still, if I donate something I do strongly feel it should be my right to be labeled a donator either way. Not everyone has 4k to give randomly to a website and that's what I'm actually trying to convey here.

I believe you can still donate lower amounts.
Well yeah but can you actually get donator status with that amount? That's what I meant actually.
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: March 23, 2016, 03:17:42 PM
Making bitcoin price to rise forever is simply not possible. Bitcoin has got such a technology which often fluctuates.
agree it's all impossible to happen everything has a price such as oil, gold, and even the country's currency, has fluctuated. so impossible bitcoin prices could continue to rise
Nothing should be far from impossible. There should always be some kind of cause and effect along with a small will to make certain things reality. To simply just say "it's not possible" is just giving up before you even tried.
169  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: March 23, 2016, 03:15:43 PM
First, we need to ask the question: Why does the price "FALL" and "RISE"?

Supply>Demand = "FALL"?
Demand>Supply = "RISE"?
Blockchain debate = "FALL"?
Reward halving = "RISE"?
Bitlicense = "FALL"?
Overstock adoption = "RISE"?

There are too many factors involved and I don't think we can make sure the price keep going up...
But if we just place the coins in manipulated demand, that's how it would work. We just need to find a way to get on the same page.

What can we do to make it only rise and never fall? I have been meaning to have this question answered.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: March 23, 2016, 02:39:21 AM
Bitcoin can really be a huge and dicey game to play when it comes to Bitcoin holding. It's a huge gamble. You never know when the price will just drop out of absolutely no where. It can be rather concerning and very questionable indeed. My only hope is that we can somehow find a way to make the price only rise and never fall. The only way to do that is mass advertising of the currency and to find a way to get people to actually respect it.

Edit: actually, so far it seems most people know about us but they don't really respect us and that's the problem at hand. In terms of buying Bitcoin with real money, it's perfectly fine. Things getting hacked is a risk you take. It's like saying you're going to get assaulted when walking out of your house. Are you going to stay indoors all your life? At some point, you have to take some kind of risk.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin on webcam sites ? on: March 23, 2016, 02:34:48 AM
They do but I don't really believe there's many that do. Bitcoin is focused on money transactions throughout the internet so I do feel more and more people will start to really appreciate and occupy Bitcoin just a little more on a wider scale when it comes to online jobs and whatnot. Good question actually! We have Xotika.TV that you could join! I have never actually occupied many sites like it. The community is rather sparce. It has potential to be popular if everyone knew of it of course.
173  Other / Meta / Re: the account i bought got locked ? on: March 23, 2016, 02:23:36 AM
I think they're making it more difficult to purchase accounts. That's why if I was to sell an account (not so say that I have) but if I ever do, I wouldn't change the passwords or anything. I'd also make sure to sign in via VPN of sorts. I'm sorry that happened to you. Perhaps attempt getting in contact with the person that sold you your new account. Maybe they'd be able to assist you as I don't really believe moderators and such would attempt assisting you in this case. They don't advise the act of selling or buying accounts.
174  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid in Bitcoin for simple data entry (solving captchas). on: March 23, 2016, 02:19:38 AM
That's a tad bit low in my opinion. I'd have to solve 100 of those to make one single dollar. At least 10¢ for each puzzle or captcha solved.

Congratulations to whomever wins that prize money, and gives us yobit users a great new design to enjoy!

This post gave me cancer and aids of the eyes.. Terrible choice of GIF.
These are the kind of posts I wont stand for in the offtopic forms, memespouting gifshaming will no longer be tolerated if I win

If this thread had any kind of seriousness about it then that just removed it. If you can't handle even the slightest bit of negative feedback then why should anyone vote for you for anything?
There's a difference between rudeness and negative feedback.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever bought something from the deepweb with bitcoins? on: March 23, 2016, 02:00:41 AM
The deep web is not a safe place to venture. I personally would never purchase anything from the deep web, and I don't think I'd need anything from there. I'm almost certain that it's not even safe to even attempt doing business in any way shape or form in terms for any illegal services or products. I can forget that. I could never risk anything.
178  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for a Med/Pharmacist from US on: March 23, 2016, 01:53:57 AM
I need someone who can sell me those drugs in US shipped to me, and I will pay in btc. That's it.
You could call a hospital and ask if they'd sell it to you. I don't think they'd take your BTC though.

180  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crazy shit Bible says, crazy shit Christians say on: March 23, 2016, 01:49:00 AM
The Bible was written more than a hundred years ago. Thinking was just different back then so it's definitely a strange era. I do realize there are still people out there today that believe in the Bible. For all we know, the Bible could actually be speaking some truth. It's difficult to know what's real and what's not real sometimes, so I try to make sure I can just respect everyone's religious beliefs and move on from it. I myself knew if I ever had a religious belief, I wouldn't take too kindly to my beliefs being insulted and threatened. Everyone deserves respect for what they believe in. No matter how out of the ordinary it shall seem.
