Is it possible to sync completely from block 1 without downloading a copy of the chain from google drive? Just to clarify, I am able to sync the chain if I download the google drive link. But things like this need to be fixed if the coin should do well UpdateTip: new best=1d95c2e80382e5b6f25a1469e33bc6d798d1447799905cf17279544be8f93539 height=2990297 log2_work=52.447406 tx=3795819 date=2014-08-09 22:26:54 progress=0.126172 cache=109199 UpdateTip: new best=747d1a590c3bb2dcb46c1bf28cea0da2ee7f9916a77fb23f3491e04a877f95f5 height=2990298 log2_work=52.447407 tx=3795820 date=2014-08-09 22:26:58 progress=0.126172 cache=109200 UpdateTip: new best=b9321bd192998c7adc53ace541ecae0109de71c2e016d95230cd0fd011a3b621 height=2990299 log2_work=52.447407 tx=3795821 date=2014-08-09 22:27:39 progress=0.126172 cache=109201 UpdateTip: new best=22fb3378b36265014d4348ebd0f7eced39c0002526cb1faf466654cc808d9006 height=2990300 log2_work=52.447408 tx=3795823 date=2014-08-09 22:27:49 progress=0.126172 cache=109197 UpdateTip: new best=07a00e4346f6c3ac839209668f9fa31375f52e96aefdba5fe41cd651638aaa68 height=2990301 log2_work=52.447408 tx=3795824 date=2014-08-09 22:28:16 progress=0.126172 cache=109198 UpdateTip: new best=40edc0c5159278fcb5c2ff968b67ebf066451d3564fed6cf83492321f01630c3 height=2990302 log2_work=52.447408 tx=3795825 date=2014-08-09 22:28:24 progress=0.126172 cache=109199 UpdateTip: new best=05e5ed1ff5437584b25cc197cc716573f296a1c7096d048d3a5cab7cd6455181 height=2990303 log2_work=52.447409 tx=3795826 date=2014-08-09 22:28:36 progress=0.126172 cache=109200 UpdateTip: new best=7825d0723a6d3200019ba4dc9ad4bc7d511586a6fa76b3acedc1b74d64276e59 height=2990304 log2_work=52.447409 tx=3795827 date=2014-08-09 22:30:03 progress=0.126172 cache=109201 UpdateTip: new best=4e01709e5c084bdae9adfc51f0eec0a8db533992b2bcfe5dd979c5d4a504f00e height=2990305 log2_work=52.44741 tx=3795829 date=2014-08-09 22:31:07 progress=0.126172 cache=109203 UpdateTip: new best=083f7168a31f5c222df1976db96d3a36b3c1d372a280bc7ca846c57194f00945 height=2990306 log2_work=52.44741 tx=3795830 date=2014-08-09 22:31:38 progress=0.126172 cache=109204 ERROR: ContextualCheckBlock : block height mismatch in coinbase ERROR: ProcessNewBlock : AcceptBlock FAILED

Can anyone give me link, where to download Win CPU miner for RIC? Any good pool? or is better to mine solo? wallet or miner?
Solo mining would be quite difficult currently as the difficulty is near all time highs. We have just re-opened uBlock.it as a private botnet free pool. pm me your email for an invite. Also here's a link to the current miner for windows http://ublock.it/xptminer.zipCompiled from Dave Anderson's miner. Source https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrie/tree/stratum

What is the latest version and link to the windows wallet? i've seen peers on Satoshi 0.13.2. But only found a buggy wallet v v0.10.2.2 on sourceforge.
Please post some working peers if you have them as well.
Thanks for your question Ziiip, Our developers are currently hard at work with updates and patches. The most current version is v0.10.2.2 irc You can go directly to the source found on GitHub here... https://github.com/fastcoinproject/fastcoin/tree/10.2.2-ircBellow you can find a list of peers we have found to be stable for the past few months with ver v0.10.2.2 irc Feel free to use them if you like, overtime we may adjust the list moving forward. addnode=62.210.122.161:9526 addnode=74.111.112.108:7999 addnode=66.207.140.12:7999 addnode=87.98.182.171:7999 addnode=144.76.71.141:7999 addnode=54.89.21.44:7999 addnode=71.120.188.82:9333 addnode=146.0.32.101:8000 addnode=5.9.30.28:9020 addnode=138.201.221.88:9526 addnode=82.221.105.24:11081 addnode=94.23.241.56:9526 addnode=70.163.93.50:9526 addnode=109.228.137.57:9526 addnode=72.78.100.7:9526 addnode=89.142.239.184:9526 addnode=144.214.87.20:9526 addnode=46.146.2.134:9526 addnode=119.224.73.174:9526 addnode=86.175.239.171:9526 addnode=50.125.139.131:9526 addnode=85.15.80.104:9526 addnode=123.22.186.144:9526 addnode=190.191.141.145 addnode=75.135.81.210 addnode=69.57.165.193 addnode=168.61.25.9 addnode=24.49.13.97 addnode=211.203.176.119 addnode=78.201.40.167 addnode=98.162.231.84 addnode=80.62.197.89 addnode=7.81.173.46 addnode=193.238.64.246 addnode=71.171.90.204 addnode=172.219.27.30 addnode=88.60.62.215 addnode=124.170.3.229 addnode=70.71.0.93 addnode=77.175.168.57 addnode=66.190.129.72 addnode=198.84.250.234 addnode=80.62.197.89 addnode=24.66.41.191 addnode=5.19.248.192 addnode=121.73.81.235 Best Regards Fast FYI only one node in that list is up. Was there ever a hardfork of the network, and are older clients (Satoshi:0.8.5.3 etc) still supported on the network?

Hello guys!!! My riecoin node use more bandwidth trafic. Why? My virtual server manager detect is as ddos attack and lock my server. There may be some solutions?
Several nodes have been ddos attacked in the past. If you're just trying to help out the network by running a node you need to be well versed in defending against these attacks. If you're just trying to use a wallet I would recommend using connect= parameters to ensure that your node is only connecting to nodes that you trust and that your client is not listening for incoming connections.

To the hacker trying to mine on uBlock.it. What are you? the Riecoin mafia? We'll allow you you stay on the pool if your workers can actually find blocks. If you continue to withhold blocks from the pool you will continue to get banned. We don't mind playing this game

RIC is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the RIC team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.
RIC is not experiencing any network issues. BTC38 works great, just tested a few moments ago. On the other hand, Poloniex can't seem to fix anything lately. .

thanks man !!! although i've copied the downloaded files and now the wallet says that there is a problem with database (error opening block database) and asks if i want to rebuild it. If i press ok it crashes with the same message (error opening block database)..... i guess i ll have to wait to sync..... 4 days now and the wallet says 34 weeks behind..... anyone know why the wallet is soooo slow ?? is this normal? Post the debug log. You might want to restart the daemon as well well, after like 5-6 days of restarts and plenty of the same "addnode" commands my wallet is finally synced. the debug.log is huge but if you still want it i can post it here or in pm? You don't need to post the log if it's synced. Unfortunately it does take awhile sometimes. Glad you got it worked out

Block #693072 is a new world record!! 732 digits @2432 difficulty. Thanks to the RIC community for keeping the network running smoothly

The market value of riccoin is so low , the team is considering replacing algorithms. And add more features?.
Are you thinking of market cap? Because Riecoin is at an all time high currently, do you need a graph? No one is planning on changing the PoW either. The primary function of the PoW is to find large prime constellations. If the hashrate continues to follow the current trend, new record breaking sextuplets will be discovered very soon.

I did some test mining with my ryzen 1700 on xpoolx, how many riecoins per day can I make with this stats? :
[00:31:05] 2ch/s: 87.2810 3ch/s: 5.8157 4ch/s: 0.2196 Shares total: 100 / 100 [00:31:13] 2ch/s: 87.3740 3ch/s: 5.8236 4ch/s: 0.2187 Shares total: 100 / 100 received: mining.notify [00:31:21] 2ch/s: 87.3051 3ch/s: 5.8206 4ch/s: 0.2178 Shares total: 100 / 100
,thanks!
Here's a link to the miner. https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrieThere is also a stratum branch available for pool mining. I would estimate around 10 RIC /day. Keep in mind, there is no good way to calculate RIC hashrate. Even to mine 1% of all blocks solo you would need probably 25 or more Ryzen CPU's Due to variance you would need to mine for a few days to determine your average RIC/day. give us a try at uBlock.it, we ban all suspected botnet miners which results in better payouts for low hashrate users.

gatra, there are several in the community who would like to see some new exchanges, would you care to reach out to bittrex or any other exchange to support further listings for RIC?
Some updates to the software should also be in order. Incorporating updated seed nodes would be a big help at the moment as several user are having difficulty with initial sync.
Lastly, are there any plans to incorporate some of the fixes for later versions of bitcoin like satoshi 12.1 etc? I feel that a little effort would go a long way to further establish some legitimacy for this project.

You need to create the riecoin.conf file yourself. Or you can use the console that can be found under the help > debug window and enter the following. addnode "172.94.61.249" "onetry" had a brain dead moment... got it now updating thanks. There is also a torrent available of the chainstate up to block 654048 if you don't want to wait for the full sync. magnet:?xt=urn:btih:0B92258C8863B589769BD3099CE89F2CF587007C

locate your wallet folder and edit ( or create if it doesnt have one ) the riecoin.conf file ... #crysx
thanks for the help, so i looked in C:\Users\<_me_>\AppData\Roaming\Riecoin found the wallet.dat, however I could not find any riecoin.conf OS: windows 10 64bit You need to create the riecoin.conf file yourself. Or you can use the console that can be found under the help > debug window and enter the following. addnode "172.94.61.249" "onetry"

Thinking about coming back around to Riecoin ! Been awhile, anyone kind enough to post latest best miners? And best pool? I know there were some block hopping problems at times, was that ever resolved or a good way to circumvent this if it is still a problem?
The fastest open source miner was updated by dga a few months ago, so far only works on linux. https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrie/tree/stratum \ Windows binaries are available for the older branch on uBlock.it and xpoolx Riepool claims to have the fastest miner but it is closed source so I would exercise caution as it may contain a virus. ( I also can't see how it's actually faster, share rate seems to be the same as dga's miner from my tests) From what I can tell most pools are pretty equal in terms of performance, they appear to all use the same stratum back-end. Give us a try at uBlock.it, we have over 99% uptime even through all the recent ddos attacks.
