161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 100 (time sensitive request) on: May 31, 2012, 09:37:26 PM
As I am not the one going to the expedition I am not really in a position to answer that. I sent an email to one of the members so she can answer everything. (btw, what do I have to do to get her whitelisted, just send a pm to a mod?)
I'll preemptively approve this request. Just PM any online moderator, Staff, or Administrator once she makes an account and we'll whitelist her. If none of us are online, post in the Whitelist request thread with her username.

Cheers, will do that.

She said she will register tomorrow (it's getting late over here).

Can I ask why you dont simply do humanitarian aid in your own country? Surely there is alot of poor and sick people in slovenia that could really appreciate the same help.

I just find it so redundant that everyone from outside africa seem to think that only africa needs help.

Slovenia actually has a very good health care system. Everyone that is sick can seek medical attention for free, so such humanitarian aid is already in place, so to speak.

Sent 5, divide it between charities as you see fit. You guys are awesome!

We've only begun! Please clarify the date of their departure. I thought I read July 1, but believe I'm now reading it as...

The departure is in August but I don't know the exact date. I will get one of the members to the forum asap so he can elaborate on everything. July 1st was the date I set to provide them enough time to use the funds. This is obviously going to be a lot bigger than what I expected so I'm sure we could push that date a bit further.

Also, I'll assume that Bitcoin 100 would be mention on the following if/when this comes fruition--(We were financially supported by:)

Yes, I'll make sure bitcoin 100 will appear there and everywhere other will (presentations etc.).

Great! We'll still consider it time sensitive. As you've read, Rassah has a Coffee Table Conference to attend in Vegas, therefore may be in and out of pocket during his trek, thus maybe impeding any transfer of funds from Bitcoin 100. He'll probably check in on this forum periodically, making sure to see if his services are needed.

What do you think about the Bitcoin logo t-shirt(s) and Bitcoin Magazine photo shoot idea with Kenya as the backdrop?

Not to hijack this thread, but can we continue the discussion over at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84497.0 for a few days? I'm about to ask a couple general questions.

~Bruno~

Certainly.

Unfortunately they will not be able to use bitcoins to buy the things needed...

This is not necessarily true, for...

Hygienic and sanitary equipment   6×150(EUR) = 900(EUR)

I'm sure there's some site(s) that would accept Bitcoin for these type of purchases.

I'm sure they get this with some sort of discount from some of the local Slovenian suppliers. Paying for this in bitcoin would (I'm 100% certain of this) mean importing this from abroad, which would only drive the price up, but I'll ask them what they think anyway.

But, unfortunately, time may be against us, so let's focus on the next best thing--donating 100+ BTC via the Bitcoin 100.

~Bruno~

That would exceed my wildest expectations. Honestly I think it's sad some of the bigger companies on the donators list can't cover this (I'm sure they wouldn't even notice), but alas, there we are.

Contact Phinneas Gage and maybe the Bitcoin100 will help.
Now that you mention it, I must send them my pledge, and wouldn't mind if it was used to donate to this.

Will send him a pm, thanks for the tip.

Anyway, just sent a donation now Wink

Thank you!

170  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: May 31, 2012, 08:41:01 AM
Balances in the sending or receiving address book? Can you point me to an address where there is a discrepancy between block explorer and blockchain, might be a bug.
example:
https://blockexplorer.com/q/addressbalance/1HostFatgTXWdRmVoneC8M6ErhiuQ7An5o
It showes: 2.0936819
http://blockchain.info/q/addressbalance/1HostFatgTXWdRmVoneC8M6ErhiuQ7An5o
It showes: 209368190

That is perfectly ok: addressbalance/Address - Get the balance of an address (in satoshi)
171  Economy / Lending / Re: Fee-free BTCST partner deposit 4.2%-7% weekly on: May 30, 2012, 11:26:02 PM
How can you call it fee-free if your changing a 1% withdrawal fee?
this plus why would someone deposit with you for a 4.2% rate when they can get 7% right now with other pass through options?

They just released a new video. This would be the first time they released a video after accepting bitcoin donations.
That was awesome.
Inded, I'm glad I saw this thread. Smiley

The 7.55% offer is now over
174  Economy / Lending / Re: (Another) free pirate pass through - up to 7.55% per week on: May 29, 2012, 02:11:43 PM
why 7.55%? Pirate offers 7% as the top tier.

I know, right!? Wink

Another offer: 900 btc deposit for a minimum of one month, with re-investments, 7.55% for the first 4 weeks, 7.3% for weeks 5-8 and 7.2% for weeks 9-12, 7% after that. First 7.55% interest week starts at Sunday, 11:59 pm GMT, in case deposit is made before that time interest for that time period will be 5.6%.

One time deal. PM me for details.

Descreased amount & increased rates. Would also accept several smaller accounts that add up to 900 btc.

Hello vuce, are you going to trade throught GLBSE or any other platform (e.g MPEX) ?

No, since this is a one time deal I would rather just keep it between me and one or few (but not gazillion) investor/s. If three or four people here agree on each depositing 300/225 btc that would be acceptable.
176  Economy / Lending / Re: 5 btc loan to iknowitsme - IBB - Islamic Bank of Bitcoin on: May 28, 2012, 08:45:44 PM
ah damnit.Lately we seem to be flooded by scammers who borrow money and never pay back.I was caught out by a situation just like this a while ago.Now trying to sell off the bad debt of 5BTC.Whats the best way to sell debt on here? As I've seen people do it before on here.

honestly no one will be buying a 5 btc dept off you. That's just too much of a hassle finding who the scammer is for this amount of money.
177  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a referral for BCST on: May 28, 2012, 07:23:02 PM
With all the pass through operations popping up I doubt it's in pirate's interest accepting new accounts...

do not talk so shit. Since you are all so stupid, or do you just pretending?
If you do not want people talking shit lock the thread. It's pretty obvious to anyone you're not getting a loan.
