This is a good opportunity to replace the Bitcoin I spent last week... at a discount! Nice!

I ordered a BitPay card... yesterday. Cool
I'm old school - using Blockchain app. Have considered the cryptopay.me card though.

Yep, I can't see any signatures either...and it's actually quite nice  Smiley

Yes. Very refreshing.  Smiley

Excellent!

Agreed! I am very pleased to see the death of signatures.

I think x2666 has anger management issues. I find all matters Bitcoin and other Cryptos relevant. Bitcoin is not in a bubble isolated from the other evil-alts. Their actions also have relevance to the BTC/USD dominance and ultimately have an affect on BTC price.

Anyone notice the Poloniex bloodbath?

Any specific crypto?  And can it somehow be related to bitcoin USD prices?

Pretty much every single one.

You guys think the blockchain will split?  I don't.
I don't think so either.

Theymos has thrown up a poll now for who should be in charge of the original WO thread. Place your votes:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2004227.0

I'm happy to carry on using this one.

** Edit: I don't see why we need to be moderated or moved to the off-topic section. The Wall Observer thread is well known for it's off topic and off the wall comments. It also well known as the most viewed and posted thread in  the Speculation section (and possibly the entire forum).

The title says (Unmoderated) - Most people seem to like it. If anyone finds that hard to accept, then let them post in a different thread.

Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots?

No.

Could btc hit 1 usd?

No.

That was a decent hard fork, but it never maintained the hash rate of the original and thus became an alt-thread.

I like the idea of free speech! Thats more in keeping with Adams original thread.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: WALL Observer : Death and Rebirth of Prices, Crashes and Lifes. on: June 29, 2017, 10:12:47 AM
I loved WO because people posted all kinds of random stuff. Is that allowed in this new WO?

Nice initiatief from Meuh6879 to start a new one asap Cheesy

Yep! I agree! I loved the random nature of the Wall Observer thread including it's off topic ramblings. In fact, the off topic ramblings and rockets, moon landing gifs and general weirdness are what make it a successful thread.

To quote someone else (who said this a long time ago somewhere else in the Wall Observer thread.

"This thread is a bit like going into a bar to meet all your friends and all of your friends want to talk about Bitcoin"

I bought the dip but I have no idea how that is supposed to get me more bitcoins.

You bought the wrong dip. You needed hummus!
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 12, 2017, 07:01:54 PM
Selling pressure slowly building up.

Feels like we are now clinging on to $110 rather than bumping up against it

Those guys who panic bought from $110.5 to $112ish must be in a world of pain right now  Cool

There is still someone out there trying to keep it up here, but I wonder how long it can last before we let go

Four years ago... Today!
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2017, 06:51:00 PM
A friend wanted to buy on Saturday. At the time, I advised him to wait for a dip... so, an hour ago, I told him to buy around $2520... but he was worried it would go lower.... sigh!

Edit... $2520... not $1520!
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 07, 2017, 09:30:39 AM
Technically, we're only marginally above the 2013 price  if you adjust for inflation . In 2013 I wanted to buy a house costing £430,000.

Now in 2017, the house is back on the market for £760,000.

Jumbi, buyable dip yet?

That looks like a buyable dip to me! Maybe wait a while longer - see if panic selling kicks in!  Grin

yeah the high one thousands are where i start adding to my collection Smiley

I couldn't resist! I had to buy 0.1 BTC just because.... well... because...
