Im runing into an issue with CCminer. This is what happens its not always immediate, but it happens when it's setting the intensity of the GPUS.I am using 70%-90% of the CPU this doesnt seem normal im using 8x 1070s. Any help would be appreciated.
"cc miner has stopped working"

What CPU have you got?
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.2.1 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: September 24, 2017, 05:25:37 PM
Can anyone help me, i can't seem to get the miner to actually start mining.
first my kernel driver kept crashing, then i downloaded the latest version and now it seems that the miner doesnt even start a job, really could use some help to get it to work, been trying and testing stuff for days now.

What GPU have you got? What coin are you mining?

1 more question - whats the difference between "Build" and "Rebuild" ? if I am making some changes after first build (Release folder created) I must use "Build" or should I use "Rebuild"?

The cleaner asset would be Clean the solution, making changes and build again

All in all 32bit holds a noticeable advantage with Skunk, yet Signatum offers 6132 blocks left to POW mining as I'm writing....

I think so- I am trusting the Dev- this is what he says on the Github page:

Compiling 32bit right now. I'll crosscheck the speeds of various algos and post the results here.

I am learning and it's my first time, I chose Release, and 32bit on always faster 4 me in ccminer - don't know why.

Faster by >= 5% ?
Just asking 😊

Yes, and it works -LOL this is with over 100 warnings like this.

Some remarks though: why did you compile it 32bit? Moreover: did you choose to compile in "Release" mode or "Debug" mode?

Thank you for your help, I have tried it but getting a of of those errors while compiling the latest 2.2.1 32bit release:
Code:
"warning : Too big maxrregcount value specified 80, will be ignored"

DOES ANY ONE HAVE GUIDE HOW TO BUILD THIS FROM SOURCE?
I have installed VS 2017 and cuda 8.0/9.0 and re-targeted to vs2017 but cannot build- all failed (every line with "Fail!")

You need to fully uninstall CUDA 8 and VS2017 first.
Then.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770064.msg21694341#msg21694341
That is: you need VS2013 and Cuda 8 SDK in order of installation (cuda 9 is not yet final, get rid of it)
After installing VS 2013 Community Edition reboot your system.
Then, after reboot install Cuda 8.
Cuda 8 does NOT support VS2017 and it is stated CLEARLY here http://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-installation-guide-microsoft-windows/index.html

How many coins are needed to stake? If I get may wallet on a PI and leave it open I will get 20% yearly with any amount of coins?
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://files.coinmarketcap.com/static/widget/currency.js"></script>
<div class="coinmarketcap-currency-widget" data-currency="stealthcoin" data-base="USD"  data-secondary="BTC"></div>

Yeah. But I would recommend you to start with 1000 coins in a single transaction, you'll stake faster.
Proof Of Stake is very energy friendly in the way you don't need anything else than your CPU which won't be used at full speed either.
Mine elsewhere, convert to BTC, go to an Exchange, buy your XST.

Thank you bro.

Now, thecoinmarketcap still say it's mineable

You're welcome mate.

It is mineable with POS : Proof Of Stake

That is: download the relative wallet, synch it, buy some on some XST on the exchanges where it is available (Bittrex, Cryptopia or Litebit.eu) and send them to your wallet. You open your wallet lets say every day and keep it open for at least 12/7 . After a year you'll get with POS 20% of the originally purchased XST, given that you won't purchase any more, in which case you'll stake these also.

•Coin (input) is eligible to stake 3 days after the transaction that put it in your wallet.
•Every second it gets a better and better chance to mint as it gets older.
•But at 9 days after sitting in your wallet, the chances get no better.
•Every second your coin will earn more and more interest once it mints.
•But at 15 days, the potential earnings are capped. That means you can't open your wallet after 365 days and earn 20% interest. The most interest you will earn on an input is 0.822% (20% * 15 / 365).

•So if you open your wallet every six months to stake, you'll earn just over 1.65% interest (1.00822 * 1.00822).
•If you open it every 3 months you'll earn about 3.3% interest.
•If you open it every 45 days, you'll earn about 6.7% interest.
•If you open it every 22.5 days, you'll earn about 14% interest.
•More frequently than that, you'll approach compounding to nearly 22% (based on a nominal APR of 20%).

How can I mine XST via ASIC X13?

I cannot find out any pool for XST?

Pls help me, tks.

It's a long time since XST is NO LONGER POW mineable.
Now it is POS mineable.

I just put  - l 15x60 and it goes better.

May I ask you how did you come to -l 15x60  setting?

TIA

You know which is the better conf for 1070 or 1080ti ?

If 1070 has different value than 1080ti how can I tell the miner which device has this value?

You're welcome.
No, I don't know the best cryptonight conf for these cards, sorry Sad
Second question: I think Epsylon3 himself is the more suitable to assist you  Cool

Hello,
i have 4 1070 and 2 1080ti
8 gb ram
Virtual memory 25gb
Windows 10 PRO
Driver 385.41

The only miner i can use is ccminer all others fail including alexis 1.0.

I tried the specific ccminer for cryptonight but it shows me illegal memory access errors.

If I use intensity 10 it works with ccminer, if I try to increase intensity it shows again illegal memory access.

What I tried is to reinstall older drivers but the issue still.

I think to reinstall win 10 in a new drive and increase virtual memory.

Any suggestions before I try this solution ?

Forget about intensity. ccminer will set it properly. You can play with -l switch, ie. -l 32x16 or bfactor switch.

So you need in the following order of install:
1)Visual Studio Community Edition 2013 (install and Reboot)
2)CUDA Toolkit 8

Then chime back for building instructions.

Or the simpler route: download the x64 prebuilt release V.2.2 (Cuda V8) https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases/download/v2.2-tpruvot/ccminer-x64-2.2.7z
You'll need 7ZIP to extract: http://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1604-x64.exe
