Acho que já devem ter começado a usar mais dessas IA modernas nos jogos em desenvolvimento, pode ser que em uns 2 anos terão jogos que usarão a IA de novas formas sim.

É incrível, nesse quesito a Nvidia está bem a frente da AMD. Em relação a poder bruto de hardware, a AMD consegue equilibrar o jogo tranquilamente, mas quando o assunto é software, a Nvidia tem muito mais recursos, esse é um dos principais motivos de vender mais na maioria das gerações (e olha que eu prefiro AMD na maioria das vezes).
O que ela conseguiu fazer com o DLSS até agora é bem útil, na minha 3080 que tem o 2.0 dá pra ver o recurso funcionando bem, segura os FPS em 4k e você nota poucas diferenças na imagem ( uma pessoa mais entusiasta nota facilmente ).

Tem outras coisas que a Nvidia também está trabalhando que é relacionando a IA e streaming, com o software você pode estar sendo filmado, olhando pra baixo lendo um texto por exemplo e ela vai colocar o seu olho como se estivesse olhando para a câmera.

Então essa pode ser a principal (ou umas das principais) razão de empresas comprarem outras que estão com dificuldades ou que tiveram muitos problemas
Pode ser mais lucrativo arrumar uma empresa do que esperar toda essa burocracia e tempo

As memórias da 3080 minerando ETH esquentam muito, chegam fácil fácil em 100ºC, e pra contornar esse problema, eu tive que otimizar bastante o overclock / undervolt, deixar as fans em alta rotação e também fazer essa gambiarra mod da fan jogando ar atrás da placa.
