I'm getting 69 and 65 temperature?

Is this okay to long time?

too hot.  what freq are you on?

what is your room's temp?

what fan are you using? stock or a mod?

Room 16celsius

Its two mod fans
Artic Cooling F12 modell
1350rpm
freq 350

I  have to keep silent this machine....no noise at all

You can get away with ~1800-2000rpm fans if you can keep your ambient low enough, there's quite a large difference from 1350 to 2000rpm in terms of airflow.

With you Artic Cooling (74 cfm) if you do a push pull setup, you can get steady 875 gh at 275 mhz.
The temps for me is around 59-55 so its enough low.

I was wondering will it be possible to modifie one file to modify the fans setup.

I mean, the fan go full power at 50. Could we change it to 60??

That will gave us less noise for better result.

I just bought this with 2 delta.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HG9AB1G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Will see the result soon!  Wink

it says it can do 30 watts the deltas use around 15 watts at top speed.  So as long as you run the fans a bit slower it should handle 2  deltas.

Oh my bad. Didnt even take a look at the watt  Shocked

Thanks philipma1957
1605  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Turning off miners on: January 17, 2015, 04:07:57 PM
I switched out all my s-3's to  8 sp20's and 1 s-5
My winter power is 13 cents but  get about 3 cents in savings from the heat.
So I am 10 cents net until April.
Price drops under 100 and stays there for 1 month  I will shut down.
I may use the s-5 at freq 100 and solo mine it. Until it dies.

I run 10-12gh at a solo pool will run that till the gear dies as the cost is low.

Do you think you can be lucky with 12 gh ?? Im wondering because I also got a small setup of 12gh

Is it better to be on p2pool or on the nastypop ??

Long term it is the same. However, you will see less variance in payouts using the -PoP flag.

Ok Im mining with bfgminer so where do I add PoP ??

Oh and is there any IRC where we can all meet and discuss ?

I totally understand that.

I will build my trust like everyone else. Starting to mine on nasty pool with a small 10gh. Will trow a 200gh when I receive my psu.

I got 3 old S1 chilling in my place. (needed power for S5)

I will try to read more on nasty fans.

Keep your good work ognasty!  Grin

Nice!

Got some question. How can I contribute with hashing power. I did read on nastyfans but im not sure.
If I mine on nastyfans.org:9332 do I help nasty fans ??

And second question I bought a seat but do I need to buy a mint seat or a normal seat is ok ?

I also got free electrivty here (solar panel system) if I can host something let me know.

Cheers

1614  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Am I doing it wrong? on: January 16, 2015, 10:09:17 PM
It depend how much power you have and how much $ you want to invest.

Paying 40$ for 2,4 gh was way to much but I guess you learn.

You could check the Antminer S5 or the SP20. These are both miner with best watt/gh ratio.

Be careful, mining is expensive. You need really low price of electricity to make it possible.

You can also mine jsut for the fun of mining. But be aware that it cost something.

Cheers and welcome into the bitcoin family!

How can we do the Extranonce subscription with the new Antminer S5 ??

Thanks you

With the newest S5 firmware you just add the #xnsub at the end of the settings. I have a S5 newest firmware and it works.

Settings
stratum.westhash.com:3334#xnsub

THanks you! Its exact, I just added #xnsub and it work.

Can you explain what it does actually ?

Stock S5 is 74 db, its a lot! You need to change the fan to drop the sound.

Delta seems to be the best one!  Wink
1617  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S-5 review. It has arrived some info is in! on: January 16, 2015, 04:23:05 AM
The miner is in my living room so I will like to have the best ratio sound vs hashrate.
Im currently 0 dba (almost) but only 275 mhz.
I wanted to test the S1 fan since it was not to high when I run my 3 S1.
I need to find 4 pin extender  Tongue

S1 fan is better than no fan, but S5 fan is a lot more powerful than S1, so you may struggle to keep S5 cold enough...

Ok I finally install everything.
With my setup, I cant run at 350. I run at 275 and get around 875 gh
But the sound is almost 0.

The temps are 63 and 54 is that ok ?

Im also looking to put 2 S1 fan on it but the wire is to short I need to find extender.  Tongue

Totally Understand that! Just want to fine a good way to mine at a good temp with a resonable sound level.
2 S1 fan in push pull should be good ? What is the CFM of the S1 fan ?
