1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 19, 2023, 10:49:32 AM
I think that before we talk about the gleam and glamour of streamers winning big we should also talk about streamers losing big too. This is the part that is often downplayed. Okay. Now to the topic, what I would say about these streamers is that they play day in day out and at decent stakes. Remember that this is a job to them so they put the hours in as much as I love to play the slots I don’t have time to play like they do so will probably never see a big win in my life time as much as I would love one and I am understand that it  is not a problem.

We even had a thread here about one streamer losing a huge amount of money and thinking that the casino he played with was rigged, it's just speculation if we think that streamers are playing on a different platform for them to win, we have to prove that they are, but unless we cannot prove that, streamers win whether it may seem to good to be true are considered valid wins, what they are using may be sponsored money but to think that its rigged to the point that they make the streamers win is not the case.
Up until now there have been no expose or whistle-blowers that stated that casinos are making the streamers wins to gain more referrals if there are videos or testimonials then streamers will lose their reputation and they will be considered cheaters.

Yes the whistle blowers are not yet here to testify the claim, but the problem or argument began when the people whom they refer don't get such wins like the streamers. And from the look of things, if these streamers only won big, isn't it going to be suspicious on the viewers end. Hence, they'll also make it in such a way that they'll lose big too, to make it real and convincing. On the other hand, nobody cares if they lose huge amount, what gets the eyes of people is the huge amount of money they wager and the returns. Since, it's certain and proven that they work for the casinos, then nothing is wrong with the speculative ideas like what OP stated; being favored by the casino allowing them to win often than they lose. You can't for sure know what's happening behind the scene. The whole processes still boils down to marketing strategy. Who knows, they could be professional gamblers, but the results still looks fishy. Other professionals still complain that users don't get the kind of wins the streamers get, what would you call that? Added with the huge amount these casinos hand out to them, they gamble without any fear of losing out. Giving them confidence to take any prediction within their mind, which may turn out to be true. Aside that, being the possibility. I can't succumb to any other idea that's attached to their enormous wins, if not being on the favor of the casino.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: November 19, 2023, 10:22:13 AM
actually gambling addict does not know they are already in addiction or afraid of admitting it ,
they mostly hide the reality in their family and even in their own self, so better watch out of what they are capable of.

Yes, it is a fact that there is a friend of mine, he really looks like a gambling addict because he spends all his time just gambling, in fact I saw him never play with his children or family, even though he has a family that he should pay attention too, is it possible that he is hiding the fact that he has addicted to gambling, he should not leave his family who should be his advisor.

Gambling addiction is a disease that is difficult to cure, so sometimes gambling addicts prefer to leave the people around them, which actually is not what gamblers have to do because when we are addicted, who else will pay attention to us if not our family who will help to cure us of our gambling addiction. It is important to realize before it is too late that the deeper your gambling addiction, the more difficult it will be to cure. Being honest with the people closest to you is very important.

Most addicts wouldn't want to share the harsh news with his loved ones, because it'll affect them emotionally. So, they'll prefer to fight the addiction alone. Opening them to a deeper mental disorder. That they'll begin to behave strange right in front of their family. Human nature never finds refuge in other people easily. It must have to take them longer to think about and also they'll need the assurance that everything regarding their secret would be safe. In other ways, people think that, since they brought such problem upon themselves, what need is there in disturbing others about their self inflicted habit. In addition, addiction requires collaborative response to heal immediately. It's mainly like a team work. Despite beginning from the one person, others also need to come into our lives to save us or set us free. As the head of the family, in terms of your friend, it's embarrassing to appear as the problem in the family. What lesson would the kids learn from their dad. You'd see within that they're a million and one reason why these men refuse to open up. Yet, they refuse to understand what they're doing to themself is abusive and could lead to a more intense problem. Just like the issue of the man in the thread. Who had to put his own daughter into such pain, to be able to satisfy his gambling urge The disease becomes terrible when not attended to or hidden from our loved ones. I think it should be a duty to us, to always observe the facial expressions of people around us, and ask them question when they don't seem happy. Because deep down it'll be hard for humans to cheat on their facial expression. It'll always show that something is wrong. One way or the other, through questions or kindness, they can be forced to say something, about the pain they're going through everyday, due to gambling.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: November 19, 2023, 09:52:16 AM
Yes, that's right, in general, the assumption of people will be like that, that they think that children of that age will not be able to build their own involvement in gambling, at first glance, yes, it makes sense with the limitations that children have, but that's not entirely because obviously anything can happen unexpectedly. Your statement makes sense, that usually small children will be faster in responding and learning everything just by seeing other people do it, in addition to a child who is still unstable their curiosity level is very high, for anything that is fun then they will quickly understand it. Like using a cellphone, even though there are no special lessons for them to understand how a cellphone works but with the passage of time and with the childhood intelligence they have it is not uncommon to find children of that age who are already proficient in operating cellphones, it is one of the things that is unexpected.

So from that it is really not recommended for every parent to gamble in front of their child or around their child's environment. After all, there are still many other places and times for you to gamble, if you insist and do not care about the advice of others then it is the same as you risking your child's future as a result of uncontrolled gambling, so it's better to just avoid it.

That of cellphones still marvels me to see toddlers efficiently operating a cellphone. It happens like a reflex action, but they may have been watching their parents operate the phones, without them knowing. And soon enough, they now create magic with these phones. Kids no longer need to ask parents to switch on a video skit on the mobile phone for them anymore. They simply do it themselves without any guidance. Hence, allowing kids around us watch while we gamble, will also affect them in similar ways. Soon, it won't take them nothing to access your laptop and visit the gambling website, when you're not around. Unfortunately, the account may not be logged out. They'll get there to try what their dad is doing. Not only that they'll spend the funds in the balance. The effect of gambling on them will emerge. Who knows how long it'll take before, they'll be free from such addiction. Which began at a very young age. They can also spread it amongst their growing sibling. Causing more harm than good to the family. Underestimating the brain power of kids, isn't reasonable as adults.  Their IQ is fresh, with no issue to disturb or distract their thoughts. Anything they focus on would be executed perfectly, with lesser stress. Unlike adults, who have been exposed to different heartbreaks, which now affects them emotionally and mentally. It's always a good idea to let kids to stay away from us before we engage in activities like gambling. For the good of the kids.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 19, 2023, 09:27:28 AM
See, that's both a good and a bad logical process in my opinion, and I don't mean to cherry pick on what you said cause I know by all means and intents this is a post centered towards teaching people how to be responsible gamblers, but in my opinion, I would change one thing about that statement, or at least make something more distinct and more obvious.

Every time you gamble, you shouldn't prioritize "earning profits" as the pinnacle of your entertainment and self-actualizing experience. The act thereof of gambling should be the source of your fun. Cause regardless of what the outcome of your gambling session is, and I know this because this happened to me as well, you'd end up going back again and again for more if you haven't instilled some sort of self-discipline upon yourself. That which will help you against ridiculous gambling impulses.

i can very well agree with you here. one should set his limits before anything else, no matter if he is on the losing or winning side. that will give him boundaries on to what extent he will be in front of his games.
earning profits or have winnings, should just be a bonus and not the main reason why you are in this game. otherwise, you will continue to play up until you are satisfied with what you got, and normally you won't get those winnings.

It's not simple to turn back and go when we have streaks of losses while owning some funds left in our gambling balance. Unless the player doesn't have few amount of funds left. They can be forced to immediately stop and go home. Then play when they have funds available. But, a person who hasn't finished their bank rolls, will still have to play more. The player needs to have discipline and self control to achieve such an attitude of stopping immediately. After losing a significant amount of money. Though it's not a bad idea to continue playing. But, to stay on the safer side, halting the game is preferable. Considering the profits as the only goal instead of a bonus issued to us to spice up the fun, it affects the player's behavior in terms of win or lose. Things might get worse when they see other users on the winning board earning more, they'd want to be like those players. Thereby, not controlling their emotions for more wealth. What I'm looking at is targeting a specific time to stop; limit. Like you mentioned. No matter the outcome win or lose. The fun can begin to diminish when we don't moderate it. Spending more than we should on what makes us happy can end up making us feel bad about ourselves. Which terminates the concepts of the fun, we went there to earn. That's why it's cool to go to casinos with our close friends, who can remind us about when to stop. And also alert us regarding how much we've spent so far. Most players forget it, and keep playing until nothing is left. You can't tell me that they're well aware of the diminishing speed their bank roll is racing at, and won't find a way to stop. Having a reminder, would be nice as well.
1605  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: November 18, 2023, 11:36:04 PM

Yes it is like that, even shops like this around my house are not just one so indeed shops like this have fierce competition, as I said by differentiating prices a little cheaper then they will pursue shops that have cheaper prices even though the price difference is very small it can affect their marketing. also this shop will have loyal customers like you said, they will shop because it is convenient at an affordable price.  With basic needs every day, it is possible that a shop like this will not be extinguished by always providing basic necessities that will definitely be sold every day. But of course there will also be definite risks, by managing it well it doesn't matter, even if you can manage it well it could be faster to reopen a gerosir shop or grocery store in another place because as I said there is the potential to grow quickly because by differentiating prices a little cheaper than other stores.

Reducing prices is great way of getting more customers. When the next shops increase prices and it's important to maintain the company price. And still offer quality products. It'll yield more trust from buyers and fetch new customers. The new customers we should expect are those who don't feel right about the prices other shops provide and wants to check elsewhere. But, they're customers that believes, since this shops sells at this rate, that shop would also sell at same rate. Unless someone tells them about getting same product and quality at a cheaper rate in the other shop. What I mean is that the loyal customers of the other shop owners still wouldn't mind buying at their favorite shop owner's shop. But the cheaper shop would definitely gain more customers in the street where they reside. Expanding quickly; building more in different province would be detrimental to the growth of the business. The growth of such shops still take years to get to a big sized shop like a mini super market. When running such a business it'll be great to hold tight the environment we started and win them over for years. Then establish a new one elsewhere, when we are sure about the solidity of the first shop. Thereby building the next one with the income the first one generates. And maximizing profits due to the increase in demands. Or maybe selling some products from the first in the new one. That would be a better idea and also reduce the risk of losses.

Because it can have a big influence on the shop that is run, and service can also affect store sales. we take the example of other shops or other businesses, for example coffee shops, many coffee shops today because it is a trendy place to hang out especially among young people, and the greatness of young people looking for a place to relax is a coffee shop or caffe. What I have experienced, I have visited a luxurious coffee shop with a high selling price per item, but their poor service made me lazy to visit the coffee shop again, in contrast to the other coffee that is simple and affordable prices with good service, can treat customers well, and it makes me comfortable to enjoy coffee or other menus. So service can also determine people to visit our shop or our business. because if with a comfortable waiter they do not hesitate to come back, there is even the potential for them to give good news to others and invite them to come to our shop. And service can also bring people who will become loyal customers who can even become friends to chat. right what you said, if the first store can be controlled properly, then you can reopen a new store, and not only grocery stores can be other stores as well to become a business.

Moving ahead with your example, what would be your decision if the expensive coffee shop had better customer relationship than the cheaper one? the answer can still explain better about what I meant by loyal customers sticking to the shop they like despite getting products more expensive. A shop that sells at a cheap rate could be overwhelmed with customers, not everybody would wait to get served. So, they'll have no option than to stick to the shop with a bit more expensive product, yet fast in responding and serving their needs. Hence, with your example, you'd notice that with this example, price is definitely what brings the relationship between the seller and the buyers. But, being concerned about the comfort of the buyer, can play a big role in retaining them, to visit some other times. Taking a food restaurant for example, some sell very high than their competitor and still retains customers. Due to the quality of food they provide to the customers across all branches. These days buyers want to be treated right and respected. Regardless of how much you charge them for the products.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: November 18, 2023, 11:21:24 PM
It seems as tho you are also talking about the self control involved. A gambler who has money in their gambling account is more prone to gambling with it (unless the person in question has grown to control their gambling urge). Be it as it may, I do not think that storing your money on a gambling site is smart at all. I’m just saying, but think about; what if you woke up one day and they banned your account for whatsoever reason? For the times I’ve gambled in the past, I always withdraw my earnings asap.

It's similar to saving money on cryptocurrency exchanges. The disadvantages are quite high. And it's never encouraged. Casino made balance for online players to stake games not to save money. Having a dormant account on a gambling site, because we are saving funds there, can be bad. The site can decide to make changes or even shut down. What then would be the profit of such person. He'll find himself on the losing side, having nobody to run back to for complaints. What happened to saving the money in their wallet. However, the long term existence of these online casinos may have ignited this decision of his, which isn't new. Some people could be doing it, at same time gambling gradually with the money to keep their account active. While maintaining their self control not to wager all the money. Although, people are different, not all could withstand holding money on a casino without spending it on gambling. But, personally speaking, I wouldn't encourage anyone to do that. Op should get a bank account or cryptocurrency wallet to save their funds. Money can be tempting, especially to a gambler. On a higher probability the risk could come from the player than the casino. As I know some casino that will still operate for long time. Though can't predict for sure, but they've been existing, hence the possibility is there.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 18, 2023, 10:49:26 PM
It has never been an easy gambling experience at my end. Although profits do arrive, but it cant be compared to the losses that follows. If we begin to calculate it by the fact that the house still takes back everything we win in gambling. I don't think they'll be any significant number of members here who are on profits. Gamblers who have such profits are truly doing it professionally and have studied bit by bit how it works. Yet it doesn't stop them from losing big or stop us from dreaming for the huge profit day. It seems like all the losses we've got multiplied by 2. Reading through all the responses here, red color overtook the green color. The house is calculated in different ways. Some take 98 percent of all we've gambled, while the gamblers take 2%. Hence, we must be careful of the casino we play. If it's the type that offers player more percentage of winning. As we already accept that defeating the house is almost impossible. Unless we are somehow very calculative and dedicates our days in gambling as a way of resting.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: November 18, 2023, 10:35:27 PM

But realizing the dangerous side of gambling is difficult for addicts who are used to it and the habit that has been very attached to themselves and their thoughts. The desire to gamble on them is high so that it can encourage them to always gamble even though they have run out of capital they will do anything to be able to return to gambling and their gambling desires are carried out even though in the end they lose and continue like that which eventually becomes the point where they are heavily addicted to gambling.
The self-control they lack leads them to a disaster that will harm them, with huge losses and also the bad effects that will befall them if they cannot control themselves. This has become commonplace in gamblers, because the greed that is also in them encourages them to always gamble with their greatness ignoring other things because they only focus on gambling that hopes to give them victory.

Yeah addiction brought out the greed inside gamblers mindset, thinking that the venue can bring them huge amount of profits, that kind of thinking where the balance is already polluted by gambling domination inside that person's mindset. It will be difficult to escape if what you only think is about gambling and nothing else.

You need to try harder if you want to escape and quit with this kind of situation, being responsible means you are in control in any situation that you have while you are still participating, without that control you are prone to any level of addiction.

Gambling responsibly centers on the discipline and self control gamblers should possess while gambling. To be able to avoid the bad effects of gambling like anxiety and going broke. Programming our mindset on a particular habit is the right way of being a responsible gambler. Being encouraged that no matter what we shouldn't play more than we have, or take loan to fuel our gambling habit. Greed factor is definitely unbearable. We all suffer from it, but this is where the responsibility begins to affect our choices. If a player isn't good at controlling his greed, he would have shot himself on the foot multiple times. Because this is where the gambling addiction begins to erupt. And they'll be no easy going back. Such symptoms of addictions is quite hard; thinking about only gambling. OP did good by pointing out the disadvantages of not being a responsible gambler. But, a times we should also add the good benefits of gambling that responsible gamblers can get when they're responsible. It can help gamblers to have a better view of gambling and also help them to make fast decisions in life. Building their critical thinking skill through gambling, is an advantage of being a responsible gambler. The bad publicity has almost taken over the gambling niche. The only report we can see regarding gambling still boils down to the enormous increase in calling gambling a bad thing.
1609  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: November 18, 2023, 09:59:18 PM
The gambler had the habit of hiding of the win from the gambling sites. This was main cause of the gambler was threatened by the government to pay the cumposary taxes for the winning from the gambling sites. When the gambler was supposed to loss in the gambling sites, mostly they was blammed by the gambler friends for the loss in the gambling sites, even if they not contributed you by any money help at the time of need of loan for the game.So the gambler will not like to share to their friends for the reason their friends will start to ask loan for the individual benefit. When your friends know about your gambling involvement they will start to not give loan for you at the emergency.Because their opinion will be you are asking loan for the gambling game and loan because you had loss the dollars in gambling.
They hide their gambling activities for several reasons that you have mentioned above, gambling activities are still seen as negative which can cause financial losses and gamblers will lose many friends if they find out you have a gambling addiction, gamblers will find it difficult to ask friends for loans even if you say something honest that loans for other needs besides betting in gambling, but your loan application will be ignored because they find it difficult to trust gamblers, so it's better to keep your gambling activities a secret from anyone because you don't need to know about your personal activities.

While it's still a questionable idea to hide our gambling habits, these things as being able to receive loans without it being tagged in the thoughts of the lender that we'll be using it for gambling. Contribute to the reason why gamblers prefer to make the decision of keeping it a secret. The society already have a bad publicity on gambling, which is a bad experience for gamblers; responsible or irresponsible. Additionally, friends wouldn't want to hire a gambler to join a business, for similar reasons attached to the societal perspective on gamblers being careless with funds. Instead of facing such realities and difficulties, it'll be better to lay it low and gamble quietly. But, its disadvantage is that when we need help, to survive addiction. The help won't be forthcoming. As the whole thing has been kept a secret. Who would be there to help and make changes. That's why, despite what people would say, its still important to open up to few trusted people about our habits. A good way to stay on a positive side of the fight. Nobody knows how their life can become. Hence, being prepared for the worse is also a good preparation.
1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: November 18, 2023, 06:14:56 PM
There is no retirement age for gambling, one can play according to his own ability and needs. Gaming rules and age limits vary depending on the type of gambling performed on designated states and tribal lands. But gambling is usually for an adult as their intelligence is a bit better than their elders can control everything quickly. As an elderly person gets physically disabled and loses their cognitive abilities as they age they cannot control everything easily. If the body and mind are not healthy then it is never possible to gamble it will put more risk. Therefore before playing in old age they should be taken into consideration and progressed as the bet in youth will not be managed in the same way in old age gambling patterns are changing.

Yeah, gamblers doesn't have need for retirement as the decision is owned by them. If one wants to, they can stop at anytime. Hence, it'll be difficult to even say for others what age would be nice to stop gambling. I think the answers should be personal. But, since people can't predict their future self, it's still not necessary to say what age we'd retire from gambling. Once health is there, nothing stops me from gambling. As it'll be detrimental to the healing process of the person. We must be careful with our health as old people. Because the body becomes too vulnerable and exposed. Responsible elders in the society can still gamble and maintain the wealth of their family without causing harm to their growing offspring, wealth wise. Who knows they could still win big, while at that age. And it's still a good way to generate more wealth for the family. Players who from youth days, value the positive aspect of gambling, would continue at old age. But, if their kids finds out that their grand dad gambles it can influence them negatively. Hence, it should be done privately, not to lead little kids to start thinking of gambling at a tender age. Aside that I don't consider it as a thing that should be stopped. Just like drinking alcohol, most people won't retire from that habit. Provided they can control themselves and not make it a daily habit.
1611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 18, 2023, 06:01:14 PM
the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.
Indeed, and it's not only about when you win but it's also about when you are constantly losing. A person will most probably lose all their money if they are losing and they keep going regardless of that, that is when the devil whispers as well, saying that you will recover the money in the next bet and that next bet never comes until the money is all gone and then the only thing that remains is regret which has no point since what has been lost can never come back.

However, some people gamble just for fun and don't care much about winning or losing, but that doesn't mean they will have to lose what they have no matter what. Such people, if manage to win something, can save their initial capital by just gambling on what they have won and that should be enough for having some fun.

It's good to see that a majority of responses under this thread, writes about gambling for fun. The goal is also to educate more people to understand the effectiveness of gambling for fun. It's never easy to turn gambling into a full time job that earns us constant income. What we're expected to do as gamblers is, taking it gradually and enjoying the process; win or loss. No one with the right gambling knowledge would see it as an avenue to make quick millions in our accounts. Your last line is a good attribute of gambling. Playing with what we won and saving our capital. Then stop gambling when the won money is exhausted. Unlike just leaving immediately like OP said once we win the exact money we have wagered. It can remove the possibility of winning more that very day. Gamblers are never advised to chase losses as it won't help them on the long run. They can go home sad, and when that keeps repeating itself they could be exposed to addiction. A bad sickness for gamblers. When we budget our time and money, knowing when to stop will be easy. And when our win is enough to keep us rolling more, then we can keep enjoying the day. Then buying more time, and expanding the possibility of making more wins. Those players who have a bad day, can give it a break and try another time. They has never been a time guarantees players to win often. Hence, if our wins are less than our losses. And we ain't comfortable with it, the right step to take is to close our computer or go home if we're in a casino.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a mega winner say no to public presentation? on: November 18, 2023, 05:29:19 PM
A casino would get publicity and more attention if they arranged a ceremony to announce a big win or a jackpot winner to the public because that is beneficial for their establishment, but the gambler should have the right to say no to such things if they find this being a security threat for them since there can be people who might go after the winner to get his money and no one can say that it is not going to happen because we live in a world where a person can be killed for merely a hundred dollar bill, that's how hard life has become on earth.

So, I'm not pretty sure if a casino offers extra money to a winner to accept their offer to publicly announce the winnings but I think they would ask the gambler if they are okay if they announce it publicly with their face and name or even arranging some ceremony and inviting the media for the coverage.

If both participants are allowed to do what's on their mind, the player won't accept the offer, while the casino would do anything possible to get the player to accept. Yet, it's very risky on the side of the player. It won't make him happy and may require him to have scary thoughts. The best way is for the casino to make an anonymous TV show, explaining how they paid out a whooping amount of money to a winner. Which they don't want to publicly share his details and personality. It'll still give them the publicity they want and also attract players who value privacy. We all live in a chaotic world of terrible events happening because of money. How would a person want to come out plain to show the world they've gotten that rich. It's not a type of development anyone would welcome. Unless the person's name won't be mentioned and with their face covered like the photo I saw above. It can be a bit bearable. Or if the casino insist on handing out the Cheque to the person on the day of the event. Then the player won't have any other reason not to attend. Aside that, no player, like myself, would accept such a proposal.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: November 18, 2023, 05:09:27 PM
~snip~
There's a rehabilitation center for those addicted to every thing especially drugs and gambling related addiction, It is helpful to a person who don't have a family to take care of them and You're right! If a person is willing to get better, He will put his best to avoid every thing that may affects him to become obsess in a thing. It's easy to be said but we can't say that in order to become responsible gambler, people should learn to have a self control but in reality, once you're in the situation, You can't control it.
But help and support from the family is really needed by gambling and drug addicts because from there, they can see that their family will always be there for them and want to accompany them during their recovery period. Those who are addicted to gambling and drugs will also have the enthusiasm to continue to persevere during their recovery period, so perhaps this will speed up the therapy process because the addicted person will see that they have the opportunity to cure their addiction. They will not doubt themselves and can change things for the better. That is why the presence of his family can add to his enthusiasm for life because he sees that his family always accompanies him during therapy sessions and waits for him outside after he finishes his therapy period.

The issue is mainly recurrent issues, like being left behind as kids, not being attended to when they wanted something as a child. If they can be turned to believe that they're good enough, showing them, their idea matters etc. The gambler's sense of good humor will be restored. These are the few things that makes therapy easy for both the client and the therapist. In the sense that if the gambler who wants to quit is not allowed to express properly his feelings. He won't have a close relationship with the therapist. Also the therapist must also make effective responses to the ideas of the client. To make the client feel belonged and also open a space in his heart to see the therapist as his friend. Once this is achieved the whole process of changing a gambler gets simpler. If his family is caring enough to follow him to his therapy sessions it'll be a good move. Just to be sure he's going there. But, it's still rare to find such a caring home. Most families barely care about being this kind. And it worsens the gambler's situation. It also gets worse when the therapist doesn't know the right question and answers that'll bring the gambler to trust him with their problems. And open up to discuss further about how it all began. But, if he's lucky enough to find one that asks contributing questions that can change the perspective of the gambler to a better one. Then, the gambler will do his best to change and become a better person for his family and friends.

Remember a secret shared is no more a secret but it is now a public information. Even though the person has not broadcast it in the public but for the fact that the information is not with you again it is a public information. And this not the first time this has been discussed that it is not easy to convince an addicted gamblers to leave gambling. And that should be a rigorous process to go about it because if you used force then you could spoiled everything for the process.

If the person goes out to casino centers to gamble then you can invite the person to your house and prepare a delicious meal for him and discuss with him to stop gambling and after the discussion, you gave the him small cash to buy things he likes because most of those addicted gamblers are doing it because of hunger and unemployment. Though you can't help him like that forever so if possible look for job for him to do to earn money monthly.

The idea of being kind to the gamblers is also a great one, as they lack the love from society and family. Everyone wants to stay clear from them and wouldn't want to associate with an addict. But that's really wrong. Most of them for into deeper trouble in life, due to the ill treatment they get from loved ones. With your idea of inviting them to our homes and offering them good relationship can alter their compulsive gambling thoughts to a better reason in life. They could begin visiting the house once a while. But, what could be the fate of the player or you when he goes back to gamble with the funds you've offered them. Trying to fix them into a business or job when they're not yet free from addiction is very risky. Because when they make things difficult for the company, messing with their funds, it can derail your reputation for referring such a nuisance into their business. The goal remains trying to change them first, by providing any possible alternative, that can keep them away from gambling. Or visiting gambling shops. It could be channeled to video games or its type. Although, it's quite expensive to do that for somebody, but the whole process worth it, and he'll always be grateful to have known a person like you. Who volunteered to make out the best in them.

It shouldn't be surprising to anybody who follows or reads about the behind the scene occurrence between the streamers and the casino. Many aged players and young people fall for these streamers and click through their affiliates links showing huge discounts to con them into signing into the casino they promote. A lot of the said casinos they promote ain't promising to beginners and most times are illicit. I mean don't meet the supposed requirements for a responsive online casino. However, the streamers make lots of profits from the casino they promote. Pays ranging from tens to hundreds thousands of dollars. Due to the enormous traffic they generate for the casino. The wins is what causes the deceit. The fastest way to con people is by giving them a too good to be true offer. They'll be controlled by their emotions to be rich and fall for such casinos. Though, the results are manipulated, but everyone knows it. Even the streamers in different interviews with news channels like WIRED mention that the casino fund them to stream games. The problem with their viewers is that they expect to see similar results, which tend to be impossible. Because what they see is a contract deal and the casino, like you said know their workers and would make their results far too good for everyone that watches to feel intrigued to join gambling. And, naive people would at least want to make lots of money.

You're not exactly investing in gambling itself; rather, you're investing in gamblers. It's somewhat akin to being a loan shark, observing them play. When they run out of funds, you step in to offer cash, likely with a higher interest rate given the high-risk nature of the loan.

It's commendable that you ensure proper risk management by requiring collateral. It seems like a lucrative business, especially since gamblers may be tempted to try their luck again, especially after a tough gambling session when they're eager to bounce back.

Every business is risky, but in some casinos this would be riskier. As you don't know the stuff the person you're dealing with is made of, I've thought of the possibility of running such a business. Yet in most cases where the gambler takes a loan and after playing for long wins exactly the amount that can be used to pay back the loan. How would they feel? like they're doing the gambling for their lender to profit. Some other players may be too dull to pay back the loaned money as, it'll turn to serious argument and quarrel. The only good aspect of such a business is asking for a collateral, instead of money. This will make the player to pay back, to be able to get their property back. In all, It's a nice initiative, and he already knows where he'll get his target audience.

But I'm curious how do you do it? Will you offer it to those who gamble at the casino or will you rent a shop near the casino that provides fast disbursement loan services?
If a gambler gives a loan, he will gamble again with that money because his intention will be to recover his previous losses with that money and then return the loan money and gamble again with his dividends to make a bigger capital.  But these remain only dreams for them as things never go according to plan. Gambling never guarantees winning, so gambling with your own money or gambling with a loan is risky.  But if you gamble with your own money and lose, you don't have to answer to anyone.  However, if you lose by playing on loan, you have to be accountable for it

I think he can have a legal team, to handle anything that requires disagreement in the business. Definitely it'll be on the rise, but if he manages well the business will grow real fast. Also allowing the gamblers enough time to pay back their debt is cool and restricting them from abusing the loan. I mean targeting people who can't manage their emotions is a bad idea. It's like taking advantage of their vulnerability, which is not a good way to do business. Even at the law court, with a good lawyer, they can have a good stand in winning a case. For instance, targeting an addict, to make profits out of his problems. He'll definitely fall for the deal, but what happens when the person isn't able to pay back and decides to give up life. Wouldn't it be a bigger problem at the end of the OP. He'd be on losing side and most people would blame him for lending out the money knowing that the person is an addict, who can't control his emotions.

I've never helped anyone who was addicted in gambling to stop his addiction and I don't think I can even help anyone do it because as far as I'm concerned, the only person who can stop a gambling addict from his addiction is the affected person. I've been a victim of gambling addiction before and no one was able to help me out of it until when I decided to help myself.

So True.. Addiction is not a joke, whatever addiction it is. No one can help the addicted people, untill the addicted people decides to help himself.
But while self-determination plays a crucial role in the recovery process, external support and intervention can make a significant difference in encouraging and guiding individuals towards seeking help and navigating the path to recovery. This needs expert, of course.

Social environment has big affection towards addicted people, if he want to recover from the addiction, he need to walk away form the place he live in, and find a better social environment. This is why play pivotal role in the recovery. Their love, understanding, and consistent encouragement can be a powerful force in helping individuals embark on the path to recovery.

Our environment is what keeps us in addiction, changing to a different zone can only be effective in some kinds of addiction. If a person is already in severe gambling addiction he may not be cured by traveling out of his environment. He needs a medical practitioner to help change his life through emotional techniques. Which helps the gambler to understand, he's truly in pain. And that the doctor can help him out of such pain. Whenever the addicted person decides to meet an expert, his problems becomes half solved. Where the problem sleeps is when the addicted person, doesn't have in mind what's actually their problem. They still enjoy the habit of gambling addiction. Such that, their mental health, despite being hurt, still claim to derive joy in gambling. It's like enjoying something that hurts at same time. The process will be difficult to quit. But, once the person is getting back to their senses and creating a routine that can work for them, in limiting their bad habit. The journey to change starts coming to light. The problem never gets solved, when kept secret. Saying it out, is also a good remedy in sunning the problem in the light, for others to see and contribute ways of solving them. Nobody would care if people doesn't know what's actually happening in the life of a gambling addict. Those who tend to stop and control themselves to become free from addiction are really strong people. I must commend you, Docnaster, for breaking free all by yourself. It is never easy to change people. The techniques required is not simple. Most times in trying to change them, the whole problem would worsen as the addicted person would begin to think we are the cause of their problems.

When it comes to finding the right betting site for me, the most important things are definitely knowing I can trust them with my money, having confidence the games are not rigged, and being absolutely certain the odds are legit and fair across the board.  Of course fast payouts matter too - no one wants to wait forever to get their winnings! But for me it is really about being able to relax and enjoy the entire experience without any worries from the moment I sign up to the second the money hits my account after a withdrawal.  I want a smooth, seamless betting journey that gives me total peace of mind from start to finish.  At the end of the day, that sense of security and fairness is priceless in this industry.

knowing that your games are not getting cheated is almost impossible. But, finding a casino that guarantees that you games are fair, is quite understand and preferable. That one that doesn't care about that in the first place. I'm among players that focus mainly on the provably fair system of any casino I'd want to patronize. Because of the importance of doing  things right and getting the value we spend money and time for. Like I said, in my first response, those other ones are secondary. Provided that our money gets across to us, if we ain't confortable with the delay the player can move ahead to use other casino. But, how to figure out they're cheating on the result is quite difficult. And we'd continue playing thinking that we are not good enough. It kills the time and resources of the player, which is the worst experience as a gambler; getting rigged results.

...

Gambling addiction is like a drug, sometimes can even be worst and causes problems to everyone around you. I think there are levels of additcion. Some people cannot function if they dont bet,the addition gets worst when you start borrowing money to gamble. So the saying is true dont gamble with the money you cannot afford to lose. When addition gets serious and like you said you lose a lot of money and you dont have a way out people due suicide and it is important that people go to therapy and try and cure themselfs once things go out of control.

That's very true, that addiction has levels and not all gambling addicts are at the highest level, so when you feel that the gambling you are doing and maybe someone close to you knows is getting worse, you have to stop and try to cure it, if if you continue to let it happen then the one who loses is yourself, currently, there are many non-profit communities that can be a place of healing for gambling addicts, come there and focus on your healing because being a gambling addict is not good, your life will be ruined and your morals will be damaged, winning at gambling is delicious but losing at gambling can destroy your mentality and thoughts.

Gambling is great, but abusing it isn't. Those addicts, abuse gambling just like drug. We tend to get a bad body response when we abuse anything in life. Gambling shouldn't be exempted. The behavior of gambling addicts in the society is becoming alarming and players must take diligent decisions to avoid being a victim. They have brought bad publicity for gambling in the society. These reasons have made lots of people to have ill thoughts about any gambler they've met. Not knowing that the concept of gambling is different from what they see in addicts. Close friends and families of an addict, rough handle them because they don't comprehend ways to cure them. They think the person is continuously gambling out of his will, but it's a lie. It's a mental disorder and he should be treated accordingly to save the family from further stress in future. They is already a high rate of suicide caused by addiction. Why didn't their family pay close attention to last few behaviors of their ward before he gave up his life. When things do not sit right with people, they look for ways to make money. And because they see few friend who win bucks in gambling. They'll rush to try it, and fail to understand the rules applicable to gambling. Which helps to reduce addiction. After wasting their own money, they'll borrow to play gambling. Most suicide cases, shows that gamblers who ended their life did that do escape paying back the loan they gambled with. It's a difficult situation in the society today. Like a plague it's growing everyday, amongst adults and teenagers. Therefore people must be careful not become victims by following the rules of gambling; playing with spare cash. And not getting too attached to it.

Doesn't really matter if the reason you go to the casino is to have fun while earning and it might be a good thing to stop when you're ahead but it's hard to stop when you go to there to have fun and instantly doubled your money the first thing you do. If you're okay with it then go cash it out but if you want to have fun, then you continue gambling and try to earn more even with small bets.
Also, I beg to disagree about gambling is statistically impossible to win rather the probability of you maintaining your winnings while playing longer drop lower the longer you play but it isn't impossible.
I still don't know why many people keep telling us that the major reasons why they go to casinos is to have fun. Does it means that they don't need money too just for the fun alone. We all want to make more money added to the one we have. The reason why many people keep gambling is to increase their portfolio so that their profits will keep increasing. As we are betting everytime and making profits, there are things we need to learn and understand about the way we bet and some other things we can do to improve the way we bet and how to stay safe without becoming an addict.

The reason people insist on going to the casino to have fun is because if they don't go there for fun, they'll go home angry. Those players who go to casino for money are victims of anger after spending time in the casino, with no money in their pocket. When we go to watch football in the stadium, it's for fun. We don't expect any money in return after paying for a seat. Same is applicable to gambling. The money aspect of it, is what keeps the fun going and helps us to think better. Not that they don't want to make more money through gambling. But, it's not guaranteed that they'll win. Instead of having money in mind as their primary aim, it's better to convert that particular thought to become fun. How do you intend to increase your profits through gambling, when nothing actually works the way we think, in gambling. Except on a situation like Op said, playing poker with an inexperienced player. The techniques and skills related to gambling can only work for some times, but won't guarantee steady winning. Any day we win big, it'll be an additional fun to us, which makes gambling different from other kinds of leisure games.
