The correct math is: 0.025 -.0067 = 0.0183 0.0183 / 0.025 = 0.732 0.732 * 100 = 73.2% or .0067 is 26.8% of the original 0.025 value. |

I think XC has plenty of good news. It might just need to be explained and presented. It's closed source but had credibly stayed in the top 20 coins market cap wise for quite a while. We have a solid foundation. the problem is we are staying at this level since june. LOL - Not slavery but sometimes it feels like that. I have 2 kids (10 and 11 years old) and i'm a single dad. After mortgage, utilities, food, gas, kids expenses (one son is in swimming and the other is in volleyball) i'm wiped for the month. I'm lucky to buy to 5 to 10 XC per paycheck. I'm actually excited when I accidentally save some extra money so I can take my kids out to eat once in a while. You should see me in the house shutting off all the lights and unplugging everything I can to save some money on my electricity bills.
...but the price goes to $400 and I dont want to spend that much (I have 2 kids and im a single dad, every penny counts  )
I purchased 12 on that day. And true, thats all I could afford at that time. And yes, people donated and I thanked them I'm a single father with 2 kids. Sole provider. Kids need to eat, bills need to be paid, mortgage, etc.... I spend where/when I can.

Hey Everyone! I have sad news. I was scammed. And being naive and not knowing enough played a role at this. Also greed was in this. There is a user named BobbyL and he also goes by Michail1. He was looking to buy a large quantity of XC. We talked and he agreed to buy everything I had because he was offering me 3.5BTC for 1500 XC. 1500XC was my total amount I had been saving since June. I've been buying a few here and there every week (especially when it was cheap back in June). He setup a wallet on blockchain.info with a username and password with 3.5 BTC in it. When I logged into the wallet to check, I saw the BTC. I didn't get the private key to transfer funds out. He told me to send him the XC and I will get the private key. Well, I sent the XC, but he never sent anything and changed the password very quickly. This person wont return my emails. His email is passat.ltc@gmail.com - He goes by Michail Hoffman. I lost my life savings. 4 months of saving XC and it's all gone due to greed for some quick turn around cash. I feel bad. If anyone knows how to get my XC back, please help. Why did you do an off-exchange exchange? You could have seen this coming. I hope you get your XC back, I can't help you with it though, sorry. Or he is trying to scam the XC community for donations claiming he was scammed out of his XC. Who knows? It all sounds fishy to me. Lets not try to the blame the victim here. I mean the letters are too slim.
Ultra-thin fonts are the trend these days. They're seen as elegant. Previously they weren't employed because lower screen resolutions make then look pixelated. The advent of retina screens and HD smartphones have changed all that, fortunately. :-) It looks crap on screens that aren't retina. Which means, my screen and a lot of other people to. Just consider changing it to another font or at least have an option to change it. My phone is two years old and the screen resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. Go upgrade your phone to something relatively current. |

People need to stop cherry-picking my statements because the main point I was making is that XC has absolutely no business collaborating with a coin such as utilitycoin that is 1 week old, has an anonymous dev, and whose thread is only 10 pages long.
Seriously people? Come on...
Did you read any of that thread? If they are working on Content Filtering (primarily to avoid the stigma of users having to deal with illegal content/malicious data being handled by their network) then XC has a very good reason to want to be involved with such a topic and development (for XC's decentralized data distributing network). It makes perfect sense, regardless of how long the coin has been in existence or how long their thread is (incidentally, their OP mentions that they have submitted for POD from cryptoasian). I also think that Dan is probably a good judge of character and can discern the quality of the dev before going full on into anything. I don't share your concern in the least and actually think that the collaboration, if it gets to happen, will benefit XC greatly. +1 to collaboration Most of you are definitely missing the forest for the trees. As the crypto world grows it can only help XC if Dan/XC collaborates with other innovative developers and projects and becomes a well respected code reviewer. Crypto innovation hasn't even scratched the surface yet, so if you think it's good for XC to just stay stuck in it's own cocoon you will be in for a rude awakening. Nobody has a monopoly on all the great ideas and that includes Dan Metcalf, as great as he is. Collaborating ideas and new technologies with other projects is what will keep XC relevant when crypto becomes mainstream. Also, Dan will become a trusted and respected member of the technology universe, which will go a long way with XC's adoption into the world of the general and typically uneducated mainstream user. Just my 2 XC, so chill. +100 I agree. Some people seem to think it will take Dan's time away from developing XC. If Dan is like other programmers I know, it will not reduce his dedication or time devoted to XC. To him it is probably a nice break from working on XC and only serves to rejuvenate his XC efforts. You can't expect someone not to take a break. If that is how he chooses to spend some of his free time, the more power to him. Plus, it serves as an income stream for him. Be thankful he, and the entire team, are as dedicated to XC as they are. Go look at other coins whose devs quit or just go missing. I have seen coin communities try and raise money to pay their dev, or hire a new one to make algo changes in hopes of saving their slowly dying coin. |

When he does, those coins get a pump on the market. the issue in the past is that other coins have announced the review/collaboration before they were officially announced here. When that happens, the XC Community misses out on the opportunity to ride the pump and make some money if they desired to speculate on that coin. All Dan did was give a heads up as to which coins have contacted him for reviews or collaboration in case people here may be interested in investing in those coins to try and make some money. That is it. Plain an simple. IMO. My point is in the foolishness of collaborating with coins such as utilitycoin (1 week old, anonymous dev, thread is 10 pages long...). What do you not understand? XC should really only be associating itself with coins that are established and have non-anonymous dev's (w/o new bct accounts). There needs to be some sort of strict filtering process... come on now. Just because a coin team asks does not mean XC should agree.
