How will this project actually get off the ground? You are targeting the SME space, but the SME space isn't actually the space that is most eager to adopt blockchain technology. If you want to provide a 100% accurate risk assessment, you need a 100% transparent picture of the company. And therefore you need 100% of all assets and liabilities being accessible for you. And therefore you need a double layer accounting system with a data feed infrastructure between the double entry and the triple entry layer. And that again is adding complexity in the first place, which many of those companies will not want. Are you actually targeting companies that are about to be newly incepted or established companies that you want to get to transfer their double entry data into triple entry accounting infrastructure?
You might actually be surprised that a lot of SME will appreciate this service. As I aforementioned, if this service becomes the norm, it will break down barriers and encourage universal lending. So a SME in South Africa might not be able to apply for a loan with a bank in Australia. Because the bank has no way to prove their credit worthiness, with Paypie, the bank can easily verify their assets and liabilities. Thus enabling a process that was priorly deemed impossible. Yeah, I don't know about that. Financial incentives might nudge them in the right direction, but you might be surprised how many businesses are running Windows XP in 2017. So, I don't anticipate a mass adoption for awhile but it's inevitable. At first, the service offered by Paypie will garner support in the first world countries (though I hate the idea of denoting a country as a second/third world, reality bites) these countries tend to value transparency, their citizens are more inclined to bolster their credit and officials will go to extreme lengths to punish anyone suspected of committing a fraud. Anyway, with time the idea is bound to be adopted by other places. With blockchain implementation, transparency is bound to be norm and companies will either have to concede to grow or refuse and stay dormant, if they choose to stay dormant, it will inevitably lead to its demise. Well, I think there was an article from Harvard, but I can't find it anymore, saying that the blockchain was a fundamental technology. A technology that will be essential to our lives but will take one decade or two to be part of our daily life. Quite similar to the internet market at the beginning, the main difference is that internet at the beginning was not so much of a commercial market while blockchain is. So maybe the adoption of the blockchain could be faster than expected. But the idea of transparency which is at the core of the blockchain is essential in our time, taxes fraud are the main source of money loss for the government. This, taxes fraud and corruption, if everyone will pay their taxes we can see and uptrend on average wealth distribution tax fraud and corruption are very frequent cases in my country, hopefully this platform will be useful to my country. |

Its harder and harder to get seen in all this flood of ICOs right now, but we must not forget its still in the pree sale phase and they have plenty of time to raise enough money, to finance their future investmets. Can we expect any beta or demo before March 2018? Didnt find anything that would mention beta platform in whitepaper. Its a quite long span between the end of ICO in November and platform lunch in March, i hope people wont start to forget about this project.

Who cares about some typos. In the end the product itself is the main reason why people should invest and not a typo free whitepaper. If the whitepaper explain the product in an easy to understand way, everything is fine. Of course, typos should be avoided, but as they are busy with getting bigger investors into the project, we could be a bit more forgiving.  In my opinion the whitepaper is a reflection of the project and the team behind it. What else do we have to go by? There is no product we can test at this point. I don't know the team members. There's the contracts in the Github repo, but that's only intended for purchasing tokens during the ICO. Of course you are right, but even then a good explanation is the main focus in my eye and not the typo free text in the end Typo isnt a big problem, but if that changes the meaning or makes it even more difficult to understand then it should be fixed. Ok, but that's something different from typo, and of course you both are right then. I can understand both perspectives, the devs are trying to get big investors into the project because they are passionate about it (of course they are) and want it to work out. On the other side of course if there are understanding problems they should fix it to get it easier for investors. Well, let's see what will happen from now on. Lets be patient, they are currently working to advertise more of this project. nothing is impossible maybe some whales will invest at the last moment just wait for the last day and see the results...

Why they must reduce. I think many people still want join ICO. 55k eth raised easily so 200k is not a problem
coming in at the beginning of this project can make the volume rise and hardcap increase quickly otherwise if the investors entering this bit will cause the volume to decrease and that is very detrimental.
but by reducing the previous hardcap 200k to 100k what this will not cause losses?

I though so, was just wandering if there's a deflationary feature in this token.
I thing they are going to sell them. If they burn them there won't be any coin on the market. If they hold them, they will get bankrupt because they won't earn any money at the end.
Im not sure but i think they wont burn the token, instead they will add some additional tokens just for some reasons. Whitepaper : Token Supply: 110,000,000 PPP tokens are available for distribution. Only 82,500,000 PPP are for sale to contributors. Rest 27,500,000 are for the team, advisors, bounties etc. Additional 55,000,000 PPP tokens will be generated and kept as reserve for one year solely to develop partnerships and future acquisitions to become a dominant market leader. |

They reduced their hardcap 200k eth to 100k eth. Ico has only started and they already raised 55k eth, there are 29 more days and with that speed they can easily get 200k eth.
But the good thing is they are only asking for their need, they are not getting greedy and they are thinking their investors.

Yeah, because of the rising ETH price. As far as i can see, there will always be investors who are investing in the beginning and also there are those at the end. Thats why the volume usually rises dramatically at the beginning or end. |

You had me at single ledger approach..... But, seeing as how making a decision based on one clever line of text would be irresponsible at best. I took a deeper look into this, overly technical, white paper. It's great to be thorough. My opinion, for what it's worth, is you should stay away from repetitive descriptions and make sure your investors don't need Academic knowledge in Fin-tech. I read white papers every day. It's part of my job. I find it a more enjoyable experience when I want to read through the white paper again, not when I have to, to understand it.
I agree. It is really hard to understand the technical aspects as an non technical orientated person. That's maybe a problem for me (and probably a lot of other ppl) which could be interested in the project topic but then don't understand it enough and will go on to the next project, because they then know what they invest in. Project looks interesting and it was only a matter of time till someone brings the benefits of the blockchain in use. I'm just not 100% sure why a PPP token is needed. Wouldn't it be possible to access the PayPie platform by just paying for it (with BTC for example)?
PPP tokens will be required to interact with the smart contracts on which the PayPie platform will be built. PPP Token is the utility token which provides access to the PayPie platform for certain transactions and services. Each PPP Token grants the holder the right to access certain services including the purchase of invoices and access to credit histories of SMEs. What happens with the tokens spent to access the platform? Does the company keep them? Resell them? What happens to the money you give a shopkeeper when you buy goods? The same thing will happen here. Yep, this will be the revenue for their team and the cost of further development. |

Correct, 1 side review isnt good at all. Even a neutral person like me knows that comparison chart is only 1 sided. And the worst is they posted it on competitor's thread, they have just shown how threatened they are. But maybe he isnt their team/dev, only supporter, keep thinking positive. |
