history repeats itself
A lot of people are hoping it does. And when the next bubble will be big, they will all..... buy. You know why? Because .. history repeats itself

I dont understand why people are categorizing Ponzi games by default as a scam.
Each "investor" in a Ponzi scheme has smaller chance of return than the previous one. Everybody who knows what a Ponzi scheme is and plays, actually hopes that he will not be the scammed one, he hopes he will scam the next "investor". Unlike a dice game, where you know (if the owner is fair) that you will surely be paid if you win, in a Ponzi, even if the owner is fair and doesn't run with the money, at some point the game will stop and the last ones "playing" or "investing" will lose. At that point the owner of the game will publicly called a scammer anyway. And because that, most will actually wait for the best moment and just run with the money. Because scammer with money is better than "fair" scammer, you know. I hope it make sense now.

I have just returned here after a period of absence, has the code been fixed since? I was unable to send any transaction over 1 XMR in size, also there needs to be a GUI wallet that actually works.
We've never had an issue with transactions over 1 XMR in size in our entire history. If you had a specific issue (such as a lot of dust and transactions needing to be split) then that's a specific problem that you'd have to address by sending larger amounts to a separate wallet to clear out the dust. Actually there has been in the early mining days a problem with the big transactions if you were small miner or in a (too) bog pool: your wallet was full of dust and 1 XMR was too big for a transaction. I had that myself. But meanwhile the pools started sending bigger "chunks" of payment and most of us don't really have dust anymore in the wallets, hence the problem is not existing anymore. Now, since the tx fee is based on the transaction size, if you still have old wallet with dust, you may have to pay quite a lot for some of the transactions - see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg10170580#msg10170580

If I would enroll now... would I have to make minimum 50 posts until the end of January or until 15 February? I am not sure if I understood the rules good.

Payment received, thank you.
I will keep my signature for now, but if you get more than 15 people joining, you can safely count me out. I have personal problems and I may not be able to comply to the number of posts in the next 1-2 weeks.

They must be the native paople who think Bitcoin would reaches $10,000 some day. They might be ignorant but I feel sorry for them.
Actually there are a few people that bought at 166-176 and sold at 200-206 not too shabby for 3 hours of reading numbers.

You guys are moaning about something that only has a bad choice for name - it should have been "feedback" or something like that.
It's well known that people send easier negative feedback than positive. It's something related to psychology iirc.

This is a question to yourself, I'd say.
For some, even visiting faucets and getting a few satoshi is "profitable". So you will have to balance the time and money you spend and the predicted outcome (which needs advertising, affiliates and so on).

So how do you expct us to pay for our electricity, do you have a place that accepts bitcoin where I can purchase my electricity? how about internet, what internet companies accept bitcoins. Its not the miers fault. No Miners means No transactions get processed. If not for miners you idiot there would be no bitcoin.
Its the coin dumping merchants, the chinese unethical mining equipment manufactures, and last but surely not least it the developers of bitcoin sitting on their asses waiting for a damn handout. DEVELOPERS GET OFF YOUR ASS and do SOMETHING, DO ANYTHING to get this coins value to go up. ITS IS your responsibility to raise awareness to your project, it is your responsibility to create a demand for bitcoin, it is YOUR responsibility to do your job. We are investors in your project, in your dream. If this were a fortune 500 company you would be broke and all your investors would have sold your stock and left your company. You and others need to realize whose responsibility it is to work this project. We pay you as investors and you do your job pure and simple. I want to see some facebook adds promoting Bitcoin, some google ads promoting bitcoins use, we need an a merchant area where only bitcoins are used, we need an Auction site, we need a lot of simple things that you can do. Takle some of that fortune we gave you and pay some web designers a team dedicated to running these kinds of things, STOP sitting on your ass waiting for the people who invest in your prtoject to do the work for you!!!! You have the money thats for sure to put these programs together. USE IT TO STRENGTHEN YOUR COIN. . I want to see developer counters on all the bad press we get in bitcoins. FOR GODS SAKE DO SOMETHING!!!!!
Actually in this world there are plenty of things you can do where you'd earn less than invested. It's called bad business. Now, if you, BTC miners, would wake up, stay one week away from your precioussssss mining systems, then try to think clear, you'll see that a lot of you should do what cex.io/ghash.io did (I will assume that they were legit, I don't know for sure, I don't want to start another discussion about that.) : pause; stop. Because it's not worth it. At least for most miners. There are technical details on how this could be done to not harm the network, but after "the big step", even 5-10% of the current network would be as good as the current full network (as block speed and rewards). Of course, then there would be issues to be prevented, like 51% attack, but as I don't see the network go down to 5-10% it's not worth talking about the rest.

220? 200? 180? Just take a look to the alts. Dogecoin is doing .. let's say better than you would expect ... and it's only 60 satoshi. What would you do if BTC would be 1.6 million times smaller? 0.00015 USD? That would be a bottom for BTC. An awful one, I am sure.
|
|
|
Of course I would do.
Bitcoin has a wonderful technology behind, but it is far from anonymous.

Please put Ponzi schemes in gambling.
As service, it is a scam, because obviously the last ones paying will get nothing. As gambling... it's "legit": people can assume that there's a change to lose.

OP, with a newbie account and no escrow.. this can be a scam. I like the idea of having a reasonable price for the tickets. I'll keep an eye on this.

DarkNetSpace Blockchain brower will lauch within half two weeks !!! Great news and an interesting jump in the price out there! Just.. is there any option for English or it's Chinese only?

As far as I know, the rank upgrade is not related only to time and number of posts. It also depends on the quality of the posts, which makes the math.. not that obvious.
But I don't actually know how it's done now, but I guess that it involves some human check.

and you got only 16.17094037 BTC
if balance will not increase, everyone take a refund read the rules Yes, but (especially with your trust) you know that most of the btctalk users expect you to flee with the money, right? But yeah, let's wait and see what happens.
