Hey guys, If you look at the factoids rich list on https://factoid.live/, you can see that 2.9 million FCT are on Polo. Leaving that address aside, it seems like 30% of all FCT is in hands of just 15 addresses. what is your opinion about the fact that such an amount seems to be so centrally owned by a hand full of people, especially in regards to the sustainability of any rise in price. I rather see some more decentralization in the ownership of FCT... I agree. So you go and buy more.  ) Become number 16. |

I put $10 dollars and expected earnings for 1 year are about $20. That's 100% per year. When compared to ViaBTC, which uses AntMiner s9 the most perfomant miner to date: Price: 0.21 BTC Per SHARE Minimal Amount: 1 SHARE Estimated Daily Earnings: 0.00068045 BTC Per SHARE Yearly earnings: 0.00068045 * 365 = 0.24836425 BTC Which is about 18%. ViaBTC seems to be a reputable pool. There is something that does not fit here. Source for ViaBTC cloud mining contract: https://www.viabtc.com/contract/s9/There s no way you ll get 100% back without serious reinvesting and lots of luck. Mining difficulty keeps going up every 2 weeks and this eats up your profits. I used to have a huge scrypt hash, ROIed with it and was generally quite happy with Hashflare. Still, DO YOUR MATH AND READ EVERYTHING before you decide to invest into anything. |

Thats exactly it MM. I wanted to create a "lotto style" feature. I need to study the results of inflation, because I think we have more headroom to raise the probabilities even higher on the low and high end, or simply bump it to 20% POS. Imagine you play the lotto everyday. You buy 5 tickets a day. Odds are MOST wont pay out much, once in a while youll hit $50 USD, and then once every couple of months you might hit $100 USD. Once a year you might hit $200-$400. Thats what im doing here, except the only entry fee is to buy fly, the more fly you have the more chances you get (your blocked coins). Also buying higher tickets (larger blocks) , creates larger payouts. Smaller wallets have the EXACT same probability to win as the larger wallets. 100% fair system.
Vegas Vegas, you know I ve been here from the start, buying large quantity of coins and going through lots of issues Fly has had. However, there is ONE MAJOR difference you seem to forget. It does not matter how high is PoS rate or what is the inflation if there s NOONE buying Fly. Look at Fly exchanges, the average volume is what 0.03, 0.09 or something like that. So, I can have 30 Fly or 300.000 Fly, they re worth next to nothing in effect. So seem to focus on the wrong things and expect people will flock to this coins and miraculously start buying it when actually Fly s got to offer NOTHING. Sorry for saying this but I believe it s time we stop pretending and acknowledge the fact Fly s got nothing to offer to an average investor. I know some people might say Ivan s just criticizing and actual development is work and not talk but I have invested a lot of my money into Fly and I do not live in rich country. Losing 4 BTC here is 6 months average wage here so yes, this hurts me on a financial level. It hurts me even more that after a year+ Fly s got absolutely nothing besides talk about future success which I something I joined this coin for. All we have is next year this time, we ll have marketing or pool or an exchange. THERE RE NO RESULTS OF ANY KIND WHICH COULD BE PRESENTED TO THE CRYPTO COMMUNITY. We all know business s about differentiation from your competition. What s Fly got to differentiate if from army of other PoS coins? This superfly option is just another way to achieve PoS rate of a certain level. Even though it s nice, it s not even close to being enough. Anything else? Well a team of nice people willing to reach some goal. Is that enough? Absolutely not. Sorry for being this direct and blunt but this is how I feel and I do not wrap my thoughts and ideas into candy paper. I m officially out of Fly. everybody was telling me i was lunatic when i was saying FCT could drop to 0.0015 based on TA, but today we had a new low at 0.002... we're not that far away given the volatility of the market, and the utter lack of any support...
in the end i might be well be proven over-optimistic. Only time will tell

oh how words get twisted. In order to help developers, when they spin up a personal testnet, now they can test with 2 terabytes before switching keys, etc. I made no price predictions. About dumpers and those having second thoughts about FCT, well, if you cannot resist the urge to sell and lose money, do it. Brian just said he expects Factom to get to $100 in the future and I m sure the man knows what he talks about. If you cannot hold on and survive rough waters, simply take your loss and leave. You need to have patience people, walk away from your PCs and do not check the price every 2 minutes. We will see M2 this month and a few months after that, we ll see through power of Factom. For now, hold on and stay strong. Nobody s getting killed or losing money UNLESS you sell. So don't be stupid, don't sell. We all know if this projects does not deliver and makes us money, well, then almost nothing in crypto will. Ask yourself a simple question: DO YOU SEE A PROJECT WITH MORE POTENTIAL IN THE ENTIRE CRYPTO? Base your buy/sell decision on that answer. |
