I figured that if you are running a local network, then you should have a $100/FCT rate.  That'll make your 20,000 FCT go farther.

Would be great if you could give us some kind of indication as to how M2 is coming along. Some people are getting killed on Polo...

Because think about it. First of all it's way easier to dump a price then pump it and Factom is marginable meaning you can make money by shorting it. Also like many have said, the long term future of Factom is great, just not short term. Only so many buyers until they run dry.....this is such a small market so where exactly are we finding people to sign up on Polo and buy? Factom also pumped in the summer.....so this is the retrace we are seeing and people getting out, using the good news as volume to sell off. When we go below 150 we will start to see slow accumulation again, GrossBit is right. 150 looks like the bottom target.

Let me state for the record, I do not support this personally, meaning I wish Factom could pump and it is the only crypto coin that honestly deserves to at is point but I am smart enough to perceive reality.

That's the problem, it's crazy. I think we just don't understand how a Factoid should be priced? Or maybe like they said right now Factoids are actually pumped and we are all hyping the future price of a Factoid but we are a long way away. I think we will dip down to 150, m2 will pump it back to 300k and then it will dump way back down for maybe 12-15 months until m3 and we start to actually see clients use Factom. Factom will be amazing, you just need to baghold for over a year but the problem is how much do you wanna pay for that bag because yea Ivan even if you paid 600k today for your FCT you still got like over a 10x profit in the future but right now we are at 230k for no reason at all, dumped down from about 400k just over a month ago, for no reason at all. Actually plenty of great news and we dumped that much. So yea, even though Factom will be a winner, do you wanna pay 150k or 600k?

I have Paid 390K for the Factom that i am holding. Hoping M2 to be released before it dips to 150K. If it really going to Dip that low i think i will sell now and buy later.....

Someone hopes people sell based on this statement. lol. Everybody know orderbooks don't tell half of the story, so it's not true. What we are seeing now is a combination of 1. larger holders trying to put pressure on the price to accumulate right before a speculative rise starts again based on m2 and 2. panic sellers who have no idea what is going on. We'll see a turnaround soon, followed by a steadier market. The market depth is looking better than yesterday. Much less buys are needed to drive the price up, compared to sells to drive it down.

About dumpers and those having second thoughts about FCT, well, if you cannot resist the urge to sell and lose money, do it. Please do not come here and ask for our approval of that cause I m not gonna give it. I didnt come here to lose money and I have full faith in this token and the fundamentals behind it.

Brian, are you at liberty to explain how this valuation comes about, and how would the Federated Servers be able to enforce or maintain this valuation? Is this an estimate of an M2 price or an M3 price (when the Federated Servers are earning factoids)? And to what does the 20,000 FCT refer to - a speculators holdings or is that something that is baked into Federated Servers?

Oh, I think I made a mistake here.

The servers can only observe the market.  They can only reflect internally on the network what is happening on the market.  When Factoids are worth more, they can buy more ECs. By simulating a high price, someone running a testnet can purchase lots of fake Entry Credits on their own computer. 

If someone were to spin up a local testnet, they would have 20,000 fake factoids on their local machine to run their network and test the software.
