Hi everyone! The past few days there have been some concerns with BC price dipping a bit, and other concerns that the Volume has decreased by more than half. I would like to point out that BlackCoin is just over a month old and it has gained a lot of value in a very short span of time.
That being said I do believe more can be done on the PR side of things to start generating some positive buzz around BlackCoin. I will happily donate as well, but not until I see some results. And yes, for the obvious possibility if you must wonder why. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but the BC community doesn't have a premine to work off of, so we do need to be extra careful.
If you want the community to invest their own time and money in improving BlackCoin, then this type of mentality must change. I have no interest or desire to rip off a community I am currently active in for roughly $600.00 USD. I made the address public and separated the contribution wallet from my personal wallet so everyone can keep track. I would like to point out, every time you mine on a pool, and every time you send your coins to an exchange, you are trusting the person on the other end will not "rip you off". |

I have remained out of the debate and focused on how we can improve BlackCoin's public perception. However, I would like to point out that when BlackCoin volume increased several days ago, everyone who visits coinmarketcap.com seen the sharp increase in BlackCoin volume and decided to ride the BlackCoin wave. The frenzy to ride the wave made the volume increase even more. But once the wave slowed down many naive "investors" got impatient, dumped their coins, and decided to ride the wave of the next coin with increased volume. In the last 24 hours Mint volume has increased a bit, so now some "investors" assume Mint is going to continue to go up and are buying Mint. "Perception is reality" and we as a community have to keep getting the word out about BlackCoin. Bickering over which coin is better is a waste of all our energy and time. Lets focus on coming up with unique ideas on getting BlackCoin to the masses. Note: I would also like to point out BlackCoin was holding steady until it was listed on Crypsy. I warned everyone being listed on Crypsy was not a good idea. |

I would like us to mention: - Must faster transaction speeds compared to Bitcoin. This is more convenient in general but also makes it more practical for point of sale transactions - Pure proof of stake compared to Bitcoin's proof of work. This makes blackcoin less wasteful of energy (a good figure to quote would be $17 million bitcoin miners use in electricity every day - google for the exact figure) - Much cheaper in price and market capitalisaion compared with Bitcoin. This means investors and speculators have a much larger potential upside with huge growth possibilities. Everyone here already knows the benefits of BlackCoin so I wont list them all. However, in the press release I want to point out BlackCoin is not an ordinary cryptocurrency. It is more like a t-bill/bond/savings account for cryptocurrency. Whereas Bitcoin and other cyrptocurrency prices fluctuate wildly based on postive/negative news, BlackCoin prices are less volatile and a better overall investment.
I am going to schedule the release for the week of April 8th to coincide with the Cryptocurrency Convention in NYC . Once the press release is live the community can start posting links to the release everywhere we can.
I am going to use my own money to pay the writer and the press release distribution service. The writer charges approximately $80 depending on how many words, and the press release service charges $499+ to distribute to financial websites including Yahoo! Finance, Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal to name a few.

Blackcoin Community Press Release Project
Hi everyone! The past few days there have been some concerns with BC price dipping a bit, and other concerns that the Volume has decreased by more than half. I would like to point out that BlackCoin is just over a month old and it has gained a lot of value in a very short span of time.
That being said I do believe more can be done on the PR side of things to start generating some positive buzz around BlackCoin. We need to be different than the other cryptocurrency communities and approach mass adoption differently. Most investors that might be interested in investing in BlackCoin do not go to these forums, nor do they read websites related to cryptocurrencies. So we have to bring the BlackCoin news to them.
I have a writer I have used for over 7 years and he write all my press releases. I am writing down BlackCoin's key benefits and he will then write the release. I use a PR service that will submit our release to all the top business and financial sites. This should be the first step at introducing BlackCoin to the masses.

This isn't an opinion, really - it's just an observation that the same thing was tried about a year ago by the founder of BitInstant which was already turning large profits and had good connections, and when it fell apart the reason was that mastercard had said they wouldn't do it.
I remember this from semi-private chats at the time, because our casino was super excited about being on board with the project.
If you think I'm talking out of my ass about something, feel free to call me on it. What I am saying though is that you should research the difficult end of the business you're proposing -- credit card integration -- before you make sweeping announcements here that would lead people to think it might actually happen. You can be defensive and angry at me if you want, but in all honesty, YOU should be the one making the disclaimers and warnings to people that I'm making. No my negativity will not stop you if you really have the power to pull it off, and no your positivity will not actually help you. So let's cut the crap. This has been tried and does not work, and your next move is probably to start pre-selling them to people.
Just go ahead and do it, and when it's done, let us know.
FWIW you might have noticed that when we moved into BlackCoin we gave zero prior warning, on this forum or anywhere else. We just did what we wanted to do, opened it, then announced. It's one thing to "get the community's opinion" but it's another to use it as a pumping strategy and a leadup to a scam. So now you know the community is interested. If/when you actually have these cards, give a shout.
I will not go back and forth with you on this. I honestly do not think you thoroughly read any of my previous posts. I sincerely believe you briefly scanned though my posts and just started making assumptive comments. I made it clear from the start this was not going to be easy and I have no idea if this will be approved. Never once did I state or imply this is a done deal. I presented the idea to the community in a whole to see if was something the community wanted and/or needed. Why would I spend my time and money on something I wasn't sure the community wanted and/or needed? Furthermore, I do not get angry over words in a forum, you are entitled to your opinion like everyone else here. When I spoke to the representative this morning, if there wasn't even a slight chance of this going forward she would have told me no. This is her job and she has more knowledge about this than me and you combined. Also, I am trying to bring extra value to BlackCoin and give something to the BlackCoin community everyone can rally behind. It is great you accepted BlackCoin at your casino, but do not pretend like you are bringing extra value to the community. The only one benefiting from you accepting BlackCoin at your casino is you, so please stop acting as if you are doing the BlackCoin community a favor. And no offense, according to Alexa.com very few people go to your website. So I am not sure besides posting negative comments how you are helping the BlackCoin community. Thank you for your opinion and comments. Now if you do not have anything else to add please move on. PS: A few months ago when I launched Music Chow, I remember someone in a forum stated: "Why does the world need another music app? You will never be able to compete with iTunes or Spotify, so don't even bother". Roughly 6 months later Music Chow is the top downloaded desktop Music app in Brazil. The Music Chow website site is the 675 most visited website in Brazil, and quickly gaining ground in America. My point is I do not let negativity or the comments of strangers dissuade me from accomplishing my goals.
