1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 04, 2022, 02:38:07 PM
Someone with a strict budget of gambling with $10, decides to start online gambling after been told by a friend, but on signing up discovers that the minimum deposit accepted is above the amount budgetted for gambling. Does high minimum deposit fees from online casino discourage gamblers who want to stick to a budget and influences them to gamble with bigger amounts? If yes, and that perhaps is a reason behind many other online casinos keeping their minimum deposits as low as $1, Could low minimum deposit be an encouragement for people to come gamble regardless of the money they have to gamble? Does minimum withdrawal encourage players to try again and keep gambling if they don't win up to the minimum withdrawal?

A low minimum deposit is an advantage for gambling sites because this enables the user to give the site a try with low amounts.
For example if I find about about a particular gambling site and the deposit amount is low then I can surely think of trying it out since the deposit amount is low.
On the other hand if the minimum deposit is high then I might consider ignoring to try the website.
Thus a minimum deposit acts as a catalyst to increasing the number of site users.

You must be really luck to win such a good amount in gambling. Most of the people tend to lose money in gambling.
I am happy to hear that you are taking a break from gambling after winning a huge amount.
Most of the people tend to keep gambling and lose the won amount.
When you return next year to gambling make sure not to lose money by placing a huge bets.
Start slow and with low amounts and gradually get a grip over it.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 Years ago today, $500,000 worth of bitcoin was distributed to MIT students. on: November 03, 2022, 03:30:18 PM
Yes ofcourse, considering bitcoin was so cheap and so new back then, it made sense to distribute it among the students.
I wonder if any of those students still hold their coins they would be so happy right now.
I guess what MIT did back then was an important step for bitcoin and it did created an impact in starting the widespread adoption.
Btc isn't really cheap now. Will it mean it's more valuable now to hodl than to gave it away? It's sad but this is the mindset of the people. They will only value things once they know that they can benefit out of it. It is said that the students are given an option to spend their coins so they spend it right away. If not then some will likely sell it during the pump but if there are students who manage to keep their btc up until now, I don't think their reaction is happy because this year is a dump year. They will regret and think they should have sold their btc last year although there is still a chance for the bull to return so maybe they will wait once more.

That's probably the right thing to do anyway. Everyone knows the ATH of bitcoin and would not sell it at this price.
But even if those MIT students were holding BTC until know they are already having lots of gains and it won't harm them to sell it at this price.
A trader should never regret once he has sold in profit. Besides that these students had got it as a reward and so they can sell it at any price given that they had still hold on to it.
1625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: November 03, 2022, 03:25:49 PM
It may be that the person traded at a wrong time. When covid started there was a lot of panic in the market.
A lot of panic selling was happening and the market had a lot of uncertainty. Seeing this that person should have closed all his trades.
But he continued to eventually lose all his money. We can't really say if he was bad at trading but may be the time he started trading was bad.

OP is not talking about trading he is talking about binary options and it is a form of gambling disguised as trading, so his friend or any other player losing is natural. I have not tried with binary options but I know many people who play it and I can assure you that no one can win. In my opinion binary options don't need any knowledge, you just need to use your luck to make profit, we only have 2 options: increase or decrease in a certain period of time.

As far as I know binary options is similar to trading itself with the catch that we have to predict the price of the asset in next few minutes.
So yes, we do need a little knowledge about the current price, volatility, volume etc... because these things will help us "predict" the price better.

1627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: <Bitcoin Creation> Dr. Craig Faketoshi Failed another Satoshi Test Again. on: November 02, 2022, 04:27:20 PM
There's a reason why the crypto community calls Craig as Faketoshi. He has tried to claim the identity of Satoshi so many times but in vain.
All his attempts were proven false since he was unable to prove himself. This is why he had a very bad name in the crypto community.
So it's not surprising to see him fail again. We all are sure he will fail all his future tests as well.
1628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 31, 2022, 05:07:54 PM
Bitcoin has time and again proved that it is the next big thing after Internet, the decentralization is what people required and it has given every common man the power to believe in it ...

But have you ever thought how could be the world without bitcoin ..

1)  No worldwide community would have existed for a single cause of Decentralization ,not only for Bitcoin but even to raise a voice for something like this ...

2) Govts and Banks would have taken full advantages during pandemic

3) People would have no better choice to invest apart from land, stocks or bonds

4) The excitement to grow money 10-20 folds would have not existed ...

5)  Top Business House and Influencers, such as Michael Saylor or Elon Musk would have been obsolete with just a few tweets...

6) The search for a person (Nakamoto) , was never been so much anticipated by the whole world, probably like the "Wealth of Rothschild"..

7) Countries would have no other option to trade in apart from usd or gold like before... Now they can in Bitcoin

Share your thought on this .. what do you think would have been situation if Bitcoin was not created

OP missed the most important point and that is the amount of jobs that bitcoin has provided over the years.
All of us would have missed these opportunities to make an income.
Bitcoin has enabled us to become financially independent and without it many of us would have been in the rat race.
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2022, 04:42:05 PM
If OP would have been a true bitcoiner he would never think that Elon Musk could be one of the keys for bitcoin price to reach $100k.
A single person should never hold the power to drive the price of bitcoin at such large volumes.
Elon Musk has previously manipulated the crypto market quite a few times which is the main reason why I hate him in crypto.
He has surely made some great developments but I never like a person who manipulates the price of cryptocurrencies.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Pauses Gambling Ads in App Store Pages After Developers Complain on: October 31, 2022, 04:25:58 PM
If Apple has decided to pause gambling ads in app store then probably it's for good.
Besides that, Apple is already such a big company, if it is losing a little portion of ad revenue it won't be a big thing for them anyway.
Their reputation is what matters to them at this stage I think.
I don't think the reason behind this decision is to enhance its reputation with users. By imposing an urban ban on gambling advertisements, it will lose a large part of its resources, since the advertising market represents an important source of income for major companies working in the field of social applications. Which means that this will give the opportunity for its competitors to take a step at its expense.
Users generally hate that advertisements of any kind appear to them, but they do not care about those advertisements as long as they are not necessarily gambling players and that these advertisements do not contain pornographic materials that contradict public modesty. If Apple will work to satisfy its developers, most likely this will not be at the expense of its advertising revenue.

Yeah it's right that big companies like Apple earns a huge income from ad revenue but here we are just targeting a specific portion of that.
I gave the article a further read and found that developers started complaining because these gambling ads were displayed near kids apps as well as apps which helped recover from gambling addiction.
Basically such ads did more harm to the people which is why the concern was raised by the app developers.
This is a good move from Apple and was much needed.

1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling house responisbilty to protect people data on: October 30, 2022, 04:53:42 PM
It must be there in their terms and conditions which we never bother to read. Casino sites won't simply use their user's data without such conditions.
So in such cases where the user is concerned about their info or is willing to put up a case against them they simply show their terms and conditions against it.

First of all, do not compare FUN tokens with ETH. Both have totally different use cases and we cannot compare the development in both the coins. As long as freebitco is growing, the fun token price will likely move up. They just need to find more use cases in their gambling site and that's all. I would say that fun token can be accumulated in the current bear market and will give good returns in the bull market.

One suggestion is why not start an hourly faucet for fun tokens on freebitco? Just like they have a faucet for bitcoin, another faucet for FUN token will make a big hype.

FUN token is having a good usecase and that is to serve as a reward in the freebitco.in website as well as being used at other casnios like dplay.
On freebitco.in we already have a faucet for bitcoin and so another faucet for FUN tokens wouldn't make much sense.
Also, creating another website just to have a faucet for FUN token also wouldn't make much sense.
All in all there has to be a whole new website with games and stuff, basically a casino where they can include a faucet for FUN.
1635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: October 29, 2022, 03:49:17 PM
I got 20 years in stocks trading and 5 years in Crypto, trust me that you don't want to do day trading you will end up losing all your money

Day trading is not for everybody. One has to dedicate his time and effort in order to succeed in day trading.
Even then there are days when you don't make any money and days where you lose money as well.
Everyone has to try it though to figure if day trading is meant for them or not. I have tried as well and figured out I can't day trade.
I am better off with short term and long term trading.
1636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to DCA when BTC crashing on: October 29, 2022, 03:45:12 PM
Lets be assumed

BTC Crashing 20000$ and 15000$ maximum . From 20000$ how to DCA?

You must be good at reading the charts if you want to DCA at the right points.
When the prices are dropping you need to wait and see when the price are bouncing back.
Just when they are bouncing back you can buy them and wait to see how the price goes next.
If the price goes further down then again wait for it to recover and buy at lower prices and if it goes up then wait for price to bounce back downwards and take profit.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 29, 2022, 02:46:38 PM
I will choose the second option in both of your questions. I would continue playing for a while but with smaller amounts.
We never know what future holds for us. May be we win more and even if we lose, we would just lose a small amount.
Then I would withdraw the funds and invest it into something useful without saying anyone and remain a quite happy person.
May be I will tell just a few close ones but otherwise I won't.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lottery's defense to not paying a huge winning. on: October 29, 2022, 02:27:00 PM
I came across a story on this thread about a lottery company refusing to make payments to a player who legally played a game with about $690 and won over $160,000 but was denied payment on the grounds that his winning data has been wiped out of their system.
Below is the link to the original story.
https://punchng.com/lagos-lottery-company-arraigned-for-refusing-n72m-win/
Link to the topic
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5418121.msg61175078#msg61175078.

I just came across another news, where the lottery company, has now come to a defense of its action for not paying the winner his winnings with claims that winner was involved in irregularities. And that around 2019 he won a huge sum of money from them and now another winner from same outlet which was suspicious to them.
https://leadership.ng/lagos-lottery-coy-says-claimant-of-n72-2m-win-engaged-in-irregularities/

The question is ?
What do you really think of the lottery company and is there any chance for them to winning the case and not paying the winner?

This seems weird because first the lottery company denies the payment by saying that the data has been wiped out.
Then they say that the user was involved in irregularities. The question to raise here is they said that the same user had won the lottery previously also.
If so then had the casino/company paid the user previously ? If yes then they can surely raise this concern against the user.
If the casino/company didn't pay the user previously also then we might raise the question against them for not paying the user.

For some reason, we all have concluded that when bull starts and bitcoin price increases, the price of FUN token will increase as well.
Even I think the same and hope that FUN crosses 80 satoshis soon  Tongue  Grin I hope it's not too much I am asking for.
Basically we can't conclude anything overnight, bitcoin is still too far from ATH even though it's always possible to hit ATH again. The price of FUN Token is supposed to increase following the bitcoin price trend, but in any case it really depends on the trader's interest in the market.

A good future is of course expected, but the development must remain consistent and this is a big challenge for any project.

That is a good point. Without consistency in development no project will last for a longer time.
Lets take ETH for example, it's a huge project with consistent developments which is why it's at rank #2.
As long as FUN is integrated with freebitco.in I think there will be developments in place which benefits freebitco.in as well the FUN token project itself.
1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nfts are altcoins in pictures on: October 28, 2022, 04:28:07 PM
Nfts are altcoins in pictures format.
It obeys the rules of supply and demand.
NFTs seems more like Art.

The craze for NFTs has been decreasing over the last few months. I like the NFT technology but not the way it is currently being used.
The idea of combining something valuable to a crypto asset and using it on a blockchain is definitely fascinating.
But I don't like the concept of people buying shit pictures and paying thousands and millions for it.
There has to be a purpose for holding those pictures or you must be a person who loves collectibles other than that nobody would buy NFTs in the long run.
