Not going to happen.
BTC will only take off once there is a killer use for it. Either mobile payments or electronic payment on the Internet. Before that, it will remain somewhat of a curiosity.
Wait, Bitcoin can't be used for electronic payment on the Internet yet? I'll bet you 10BTC that it can!

Do you folks actually make enough profit to warrant the amount of time you spend involved with bitcoin price watching? I realize many do it for fun but why not do it with stocks where there are 1000s of more opportunities for good trades? Instead you waste time on this puny thing called bitcoin trading? The time spent here you could watch 100 stocks closely and trade them at 5-10 bucks to get in or out. Then there are divs too if you time things right.
Bitcoin is riskier too...
I reckon if people who actually made money figured out what they made per hour invested in bitcoin watching they would cry :-)
Me? I am a div growth investor who drips. That is why i am not trading. I buy companies to hold for a long time.
this reminds me of a popup i often get http://thewebprofits.com/

Adam, I am feeling your high volume low movement candle coming up lol
yup, updownupdownupdown, that will do it
|

Adam if I didn't know any better I'd say there are 2 different persons using your account. Geez did you even remember what you did write last month?
Last month? More like 3 days ago. was 13 days ago It does really feel like we are going down, well we have been going down for quite some time now.
not Too much lower... one more good plunge, then up up up
|
|
|
Well its been 3 months so far and the market has not been exactly stable in that time. I am not saying he is always right, just that he does have a good eye for spotting a trend switch.
true, the market has not been stable, but IMO the trend is neutral, and we aren't exactly on the high side I've made some good calls, i started this thread pretty much right b4 we broke out of 5$ 6 point crazy to 15 was a fun ride, but i sold to early at 9, I thank cypherdoc for convincing me to buy back in

The Plunge! mostly i just talk my hand. i would think if someone would buy when i change from bear to bull and sell when i change from bull to bear, they'd make some profits.

If 11.00$ breaks, we head further up. I think we will (target: 11.80$)
I bet we'll over shoot the target and end up in the 12's by the end of the week. and with no more dumb people dumping +10K coins in under 1 hour ( stupid bears ), the long term might be another endless grind up, which will get corrected at 30-50.... Double digits, deal with it!

is the storm starting now? i love watching storms

|

fucking hang over........
bitcoin better be going up
|
|
|
i would keep the price fixed in BTC
when the price moves down, your products become cheaper and is more likely to sell. when the price moves up, your products generate more profit per sale.
every so often lower the price to keep up with deflation. like they do with now with $; every so often they rise prices to keep up with inflation....

here's an interesting fact. we've had 70 straight weeks of upward revisions to the Initial Claims Report for unemployment: http://biz.yahoo.com/c/terms/claims.htmlif you'd bet $0.01 each week that we'd get an upward revision while reinvesting the profits you'd now have accumulated $0.01 x 2^70 = $11,805,916,207,174,113,034.24 actually, i didn't state that quite right: if you'd initially bet $0.01 starting in June of 2011, double or nothing, and reinvested the winnings each week for the 70 straight weeks since then, you'd be sitting on a profit of $11,805,916,207,174,113,034.24. what comes after trillion? bitcoin?

the thing is their is no reason for this bearish trend right now. last year their was some serious bad news and major hacks, and this scared off alot of people. now there is only good news ( and some exchange site getting hacked doesn't scare anyone anymore ) IMO when we saw the rise to 15, and then the dump to 8, this was reward halving being priced in; now people will continue to unload coins until they see some major support Pop-up and since their is no really good reason for bitcoin's price to drop, this support will Pop-up faster then most think. we are here now! 10.xx is where the first major support will be, and I don't think the bears are packing THAT much heat, so it could very well be enough support to kill the bears! Well pirate40, the bitfloor hacker has to liquidate their millions of dollar worth of coins sooner or later. Plus the latest GLBSE fiasco probably made many people get their coins back from GLBSE or the issuers and sell, since there's obviously a major downtrend going on. obvious major downtrend since the crash of 2012 ( it was quite a pathetic crash when you look back at it ) price has held well above 10$ their is nothing obvious or major about the trend, if anything the trend is neutral
