I feel this will set a bad legal precedent if it goes through. Bitcoin so far has been able to avoid any regulation, because it is deemed "play money" If there is a court case that recognized Bitcoin as a currency, prepare for incoming regulation.
in the end they will not go to court, it will be a settlement ... if it dose go to court, the court will hear both sides and come up with a verdict, that is all, they aren't their to debate weather bitcoin is currency. |

Just keep in mind that technical analysis shows that $12 range is previous resistance. I would not be surprised to see consolidation and correction from here temporarily for 2-3 weeks then rally continue. Just sayin'.....GO BITCOIN! yes this is why i didn't sold all my bitcoin yet, it could turn out to be an epic bear trap. idk more i think about it the more i think the bull market done for now, and no that dosent mean stabilize at 11. crazy, it means drop to 6 . unreasonable  fuck ya, come on bitcoin make me some money! |

Don't you mean "buy low"? Those walls don't look like someone has decided this is selling time to me. You might be right, he sold high already up to 12+ now he'd be happy to sell more at these high prices, or buy lower. |

I only sold a few at 11 I'm hoping for even higher prices so evening out my avg sell price is easier... but now that i look at mtgox's order books again.... I'm tempted to take a dump Why haven't you piled on top of the 12 askwall? It was pretty clear that the bulls really really wanted to take that, one of the few no-brainers imo. That was almost a "Zugzwang" situation i was sleeping.. lol |

A little bit of skepticism is always healthy when someone provides such an important information. And should always ask a simple question: Why?
Can't blame you there. I personally make 0 buy/sell decisions based on posts here on the forum. Atleast not posts made in threads like these. I would sure hope that no one would ever take anything I post as trading advice. I have been feeling, if maybe only a little, bad for the bears lately. Which is the only reason I bothered saying anything. Why? Why buy? Because we are confident that the usefullness of bitcoin is increasing and therefore its value as well. People tend to forget that the price itself is of little importance when the use of the coin is simply as a short term store of value. In which cases there is little difference in the coins being $2 or $2,000. Granted, the higher the price the more risky it is to use for simple purchases if the value is on the decline. Not so when it is in the state it is now. Which is why we keep buying. Short term spender confidence increases when the fees invloved in acquiring coins are partly absorbed by the value increase from time of acquiring to the time of spending. As the price goes even higher it will become more prudent to try and lock in purchase agreements at a set BTC value versus a pegged BTC/USD value. With larger contracted purchases requiring a >< clause to help preserve value for both parties. Atleast until BTC can stand on its own. We are still not sure whether that will ever happen or not but until then there are plenty of tools available to make it work for all invloved. why didnt you guys buy at 5? |
