How do I upload a picture? I've searched high and low under the profile tab, I see where I can adjust all my other preferences, but no where will it let me upload a pic.

Thanks!

The question is in the wrong place.
If you think the picture for the avatar you can not set it until you become a Full Memeber, and if you think just an image to post in forum use upload service like TinyPic.
16306  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do you still really use faucet? on: September 07, 2015, 06:52:10 PM
I know that faucet are completely a waste of time but with a lot of referrals it will be worthy

When Bitcoin was worth dust, faucets giving out 1 BTC and it was a waste of time. Who knows what the future will bring..

I fully agree.

Maybe in the future 1k of satoshis will have a 500x higer value. Why not?

Of course, anything is possible when it comes to Bitcoin Smiley

The people who own these faucets are doing us a favor they should profit a little because they are helping people like myself get into bitcoin be a bit more grateful

It's not really doing you a favor when your doing things to make them money.  Were talking about very very small micro payments.  There are entire threads on better ways then faucets.

Yes some do faucets but you will make cents for hours of work.    That does not work for most people.  Just to little pay for the amount of time and effort.

For people in Venezuela as reported in this topic 0.037 BTC is half of they monthly salary,I think it would be worth for them to earn some $ even from faucet.

I assume that, when all of us first heard of bitcoins and started reading about it, all of us made our first few satoshis on some faucet like freebitco.in or any other, and everything was like "I'm gonna make so much bitcoins with this!". But when you use if for some time and get a little bit more into bitcoin, you'll see that that amount you've collected over a week or so, is barely worth a penny.
So here's the advice, when you first come here and read all about them faucets, don't get your hopes up (like I did) thinking you will make something out of it. Owners of those faucets are the only ones who will profit. Faucets are there just in the beginning to help you see what it's like to receive, own, send bitcoins and how to use your wallet.

Use the faucets, see how it feels to have bitcoins but don't expect anything more than that.

I agree! It's been 2 weeks now and I've racked up a whole $0.40 on faucets alone. I tried getting into signature campaigns but those silly companies don't make any codes for Newbie members! How do they expect to get the maximum airplay?

Only 0.4$ in two weeks?
Try faucet rotator,I made about 10$ in last month.,This is not some earnings, but it is better then 0.4$.
I know people will now questions how much time I spent and why not use a signature campaign?
Only 2 hours of my free time while doing other things on the Internet, and I join SC probably when I reach next rank.

I know most of you guys really say get free btc for newbies, but you still do it?

If so which ones the best? i plan on getting my nephews to do this for me lol.  Cheesy

I do, but infrequently, and more for fun than anything else. My first BTC transaction was from a faucet - it was the only faucet, and I got 0.5 BTC. At the time that was nothing, which makes me hope that the few satoshi I get from faucets these days may one day be worth much more - I live in hope!

Even with that 0.5 BTC, the money I've earned from faucets is dwarfed by the BTC I've bought (and that, sadly, is itself dwarfed by the BTC I've mined and then sold to pay the electricity costs, GPU purchase, etc). Thinking about it, I've probably made more BTC in the past 2-3 days trading than I've ever made on faucets. I doubt I'll stop using faucets, however - it's a nice way to relax sometimes.

Edit: doh, forgot the whole of the post. Find a faucet list (or several) that list higher paying faucets. If you're anything like me, you'll run ad-block most of the time - you'll need to (or your nephews will need to!) unblock faucet sites, and by sticking to the top 10 (say) in a list, you'll limit the amount of hassle you'll need to go through, and the rewards will be proportionately higher. FaucetBox.com have a good list, Landofbitcoins.com is an OK "rotator" (effectively a list, but you'll need to work out which faucets on it pay well and tell Landofbitcoins to ignore the rest). I used to have referral links in my signature - that drew in a few more satoshi as well. I gather people can do better from referals than faucets, though I don't recall that being my experience (I probably wasn't pushing the referal links hard enough).

Good post LMGTFY Smiley
You got 0.5 BTC, which was not worth almost nothing then, but today is worth about 120$,so like you say those satoshi may worth one day much much more Wink
If you have time try this rotator in my signature, very good list of faucets Smiley
16311  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How do these faucets with impossible to find captchas get high on faucetbox? on: September 06, 2015, 11:21:01 AM
Maybe giftsatoshis changed the layout and made it easier to spot where to click

All I said was that people can make few $ from faucet, not only cents.
It's no earnings for life, just for fun.
You're using a signature, the same things can be said for it,you surely earn a fortune on them...

Pips i see you earning 0.055 max per month, how many constructive post and how much time for that?

Prodigy8 interesting that you have that opinion on the faucet, how much you made from them and how much time you spend on it?

I tried but i got nervous and started hating the faucets i tried and 12,578 satoshi and it is just few cents, really it doesn't worth.

I earn it in 10 minutes with my eyes closed.Your problem is in something else it seems to me...
Look at the picture, with a rotator I were clicking PTC in the same time.

Almost 18k in some 12 minutes.
I already know your answer, it's not worth it, and why do not you join the campaign signatures.
16313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edeka "A big largest German supermarket corporation" accepts bitcoin on: September 05, 2015, 02:27:15 PM
It's only a "just" because they immediately change Bitcoin to fiat money.
Accepting Bitcoin is a big step, no questions (particularly in the conservative Germany).
But I would like to see that they only accept Bitcoin, without a middleman.
It would be great if they pay salaries of their employees in Bitcoin.

You get your salary at Bitcoin price of 230$,and tomorrow you wake up and Bitcoin worth 250$ or maybe 200$ Smiley

This is definitely good news and perhaps that encourage others in Germany to do the same.
Maybe Lidl and Kaufland make a move Smiley

Using Faucets at the moment they are decent enough for small money

What amount are we talking? a few cents? dollar maybe?

Probably few cents, earning few dollar from faucets seems to be hard nowadays

It is not easy to earn a few dollars from the faucet, but can be done.
I made from faucet rotator in one month about 0.04 BTC=9,50$
I need about 2 hours a day for it, 2 times to pass the list and a few times a day to visit faucets with bigger prizes 1000+ Smiley
