1642  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 30, 2013, 08:44:03 PM
Any idea who is buying AM and why? I'm very curious because I wanted to buy more at my original buy price at 2.5.
I'm puzzled.

If you are very curious, I suggest you to read, for instance, like... this thread?
People are suggesting pretty much everywhere that the price have been driven up by two factors:
1. the recent questions answered
2. the conferences in beijing and shanghai

Please take no offence, but I guess if you are "very curious" you would have quite easily found that information... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
1643  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 30, 2013, 08:30:24 PM
You point being?
Ignore him, he is retarded in the original sense of the word. All of his messages make no sense whatsoever.
His posts has gone so far into the realm of wtf that I'm starting to think that he's not a human troll, he might be a trollbot.
If it really is a bot, kudos to the author.
If he really is human wtf did his authors do to shape him this way?
1644  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-06-27 AP: Man who extorted Mitt Romney for Bitcoins Endicted on: June 30, 2013, 06:03:04 PM
Wonder when Somali pirates will start demanding BTC instead of $
They'll paint a giant QRCODE on the side of their ship, and you will be able to scan it and send them a bribe in order to be left alone.
1645  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin price not going up? on: June 30, 2013, 05:55:43 PM
Why is bitcoin price stuck around the same number and not  increasing, how likely  is it for bitcoin to steadily start going up again?

Bitcoin is scheduled to trade in a narrow range of 102 to 108 dollars until September.  From September until January it will gradually increase reaching a high of about 118.  That is why I am holding strong to my bitcoins till then.  The 2014 schedule has not been decided yet.
lmao gg

The worldwide economy is worse than the numbers suggest and people need fiat to pay the bills.

If they use fiat, they could never payback the bills

Each fiat dollar is backed by a equal amount of debt, when they get 100 dollar to pay the bill, they created a 100 dollar's debt to be paid somewhere else in the society, plus interest. So someone else might get a 103 dollar bill to pay, society as a whole become more and more debt laiden
dafuq?

Why does it have to go up? Price stability to some degree can help build trust in Bitcoin as an alternative to traditional currencies. Retailers that might accept bitcoin might not if prices fluctuate to violently with volatility.
+1

...or a name. We should really help them with a name, ideas anyone? Huh
NOOBASIC?
1647  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Postepay: motivi e rischi on: June 30, 2013, 05:10:25 PM

1648  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: June 30, 2013, 04:07:51 PM
ROI, you are assuming that btcquick profits are not going to go up in 183 months as i have shown, profits have been accelerating every month(besides May, read the News to see why). This Company has only been on the stock exchange for a very short period. I won't be surprised to see profits continue to rise exponentially as has been done in the past.

Either way risk/reward must we weighed.
Sure, but to convince me of such a thing you need quite a bit more Wink

I've bought BITVPS shares even if they still haven't issued any dividend, because I looked at their financial reports and they look very good...
1649  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Postepay: motivi e rischi on: June 30, 2013, 04:01:37 PM
1650  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Beijing and Shanghai conference news on: June 30, 2013, 03:09:51 PM
Also a friendly reminder there is a massive target on the back of Asicminer for any government(s) that wish to take a bite out of bitcoin, especially in china where bitcoin is illegal
FUD, lol.

wtf why?

obvious scam is obvious, why on Earth should he need the money *right now* and accepting such a high interest rate? Because he's not gonna pay back, obviously.
BTW the link he posted doesn't load for me.

(and, again, why didn't you ask for his ID? Surely was a stolen ID, but at least you would have "burned" it, now instead he still has it and may use it with someone else... I can't believe it...)
1652  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: June 30, 2013, 02:56:18 PM
Mmmh.

Dividend/month ~= .00000062
Ask = 0.00011370
-->
ROI = 183 months.

I think I'll pass.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MasterCoin [MST] The master of all alt coins!! on: June 30, 2013, 02:49:06 PM
I'm feasting on your corpses
1654  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 30, 2013, 09:39:20 AM
If for whatever reason all cryptos became worthless tomorrow, your shares still have value because AM still has lots of fiat & sellable assets
Sellable assets such as... bitcoin miners?
1655  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got SCAMMED by bitbox.mx!!! on: June 30, 2013, 09:35:18 AM
so in short they are not scamming you by asking you for ID. they are simply following the rules, which most customers are not use to
Problem here was, unless I've misunderstood, that they first accepted the payment, and then asked for ID.
This makes no sense.
If ID was required, they shouldn't allow you to pay first, they should have first asked for the ID, and once they received it they should have given the user the payment address.
1656  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 30, 2013, 08:32:43 AM
Probably most of you don't agree, But this actually making me a bit sad I am a long term investor and crashes and low prices are a good thing so I could get more shares. This way I would have just to lurk and yawn.

I am a long term div guy  Cool
Me too.
I'm totally no interested in selling shares, I just want to buy, hold, and gather dividends...
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: June 30, 2013, 08:02:08 AM
Now to serious note, that opens door for something I was mentioning before how about reward long time investors with lower fee?
He already answered about that.

PS: people complaining agains the owner's rate make me sick for several reasons:
1. why didn't you speak up when we were still discussing about that!!!
2. it was really too low, he wasn't earning anything, so stfu he's not your slave
3. he had no incentive - not talking about running away, but even just against shutting down the site
1658  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 29, 2013, 10:51:00 PM
Island with solar panels, ocean wave energy, wind energy and huge asic farm will be amazing.
Lol I misread "Island with solar penis".
1659  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 29, 2013, 10:50:02 PM
No, there are many, many other ICANN alternatives. They are all useless, just like Namecoin. Why? Because regular people can't access them. It's not reasonable to ask everyone on the entire internet to install plugins if they want to access your domains. Namecoin will never be a serious alternative to DNS.
"Regular people" don't use Bitcoin.  This community is a mecca for early adopters, not "everyone on the entire internet."

How are you any more useful than those saying 'there are many dollar alternatives, they are all useless just like Bitcoin?'

Bitcoin is much more groundbreaking, it solves tons of problems we have with money.

Namecoin just... "meh".
If it wasn't design-broken it would have been "interesting" at best.
1660  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 29, 2013, 10:38:16 PM
because namecoin is a joke
Why is that? I'm far from an expert on the subject but to me it seems like an absolutely brilliant and innovative use of a block chain, and the only existing alternative to the ICANN monopoly. Not a rival to BTC certainly, but I don't think it was ever intended to be one
It is an interesting idea with a totally crappy design.
