Rather than adding more nations why not focus of increasing the quality of cricket among the nations which are already playing cricket? Even the old teams like Bangladesh, West Indies , Zimbabwe performances are not as they should be and we have only 3 to 5 teams which are considered to be strong team in world cricket. ICC may assist the cricket board but the responsibility of player selection depends on the local cricket board. If there is corruption then how we can get quality of cricket or cricketers. I think ICC has nothing to do in this regard. But if their nominated persons are aware then some progress can be expected in this concern. But that too cannot be enforced when political interference comes into cricket. The condition of Bangladesh, West Indies, Zimbabwe is like that, but in recent times, Zimbabwe cricket has come up in a better position than before. It can be said that their cricket has improved a lot. I am absolutely not saying that there is no corruption in other sports. In a lot of sports, there are corrupt boards, but I don’t think those are corrupt at that level like cricket is.
