But what amount are you going to make the PoW phase?

How many blocks?

You also need to hardfork the chain again.

If we are planning to add a 3rd PoW phase, I would like to propose a PoW phase of 7 million coins. (that will give us approx 50 million coins total)

Maybe 7000 blocks, that gives us 1000 coins per block.

in 24 hours we are passing 1500 blocks.

We can consider to implement the new PoW phase at block 105000-110000, that gives us 8000-13000 blocks to implement the new code and hardfork the coin. that is 5 days-9 days

#Just some ideas

Sounds good

Due to the overwhelming evidence of c-cex not paying out members, stealing BTC and other cryptocurrencies we will not support the exchange nor feature it in the official topic as we do not endorse services which could potentially be extremely damaging to our coin, especially this early on.

Please be careful and trade with caution.

Oooh damn.  C-cex lost support of the biggest coin of 2014 due to dishonesty.  See what happens when you are dishonest? (I'm looking at you, username Swag)
BTW, please nobody be naive like me and deal with Swag.  He ripped me off for .5 BTC.

and the man x8008,his email is x8008@gmail.com...what a fucking liar.

we need a normal and big exchange now.

I've got some personal information on him.  I wanted to give him a chance to make things right before releasing/acting on it.
Everybody not involved: sorry for the intrusion

Selling 5k NUD, at 10k satoshi ea.

Hey Swag, was wondering if you had a chance to send me the NUD from your end of our trade yesterday.  Here are the details of the .5 BTC I sent http://blockexplorer.com/tx/196235eef3dd1f67df565c2b87bd0e67522df3d74537d544ff38ed224539f3d6

serious question - is .01% pre-mine a bad thing?
When it takes 100 years to mine all of the coins it is.

Have some faith in the dev.... he might have *gasp*.... a day job. The shock, the horror.  Grin

Dont fucking release a coin if you are not going to commit at least 2 hours a day for development. What a fucking moron.

Everybody around primer is an idiotic moron.

ok... I browse through the thread, but I don't understand is it a gpu coin (scrypt as I read in the 10 first pages) or is this something else (like I read in the last pages)...

This is so confusing  Grin

The launched version had a bug which allowed for scrypt mining.  It has since been fixed.

Haven't seen a Scrypt N coin in a while.  Rewards look interesting.  I'll mine some!

No, we need money to promote the coin, or do you prefer to have a coin launched without premine and never hit a exchange or that nobody wants to buy. Rule number 1 : Invest in a coin before you can see the returns. Coins without premine are very difficult to hit exchanges etc.
lol

1% Premine
3% IPO

 Huh

Why? For what? Explain.

Needs money for a boat

Open wallet, debug, type "setgenerate true -1" in console, hit enter.  Thats it.

so, just do as what u said above,, and let the wallet open,, and it will mine the coins himself ?
or i need a miner soft ?
[/quote]

that's all you need to do for now.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NUD ₦ ] New Universal Dollar | Bcrypt | 0% Pre-mine | First Anonymous on: July 02, 2014, 07:56:57 PM
NUD needs marketing and support
(Bounties=new services)

When I hear bounties I imagine pre-mine, I would never pre-mine the network for either myself or bounties to enslave every single user. If the people deem us worthy of a donation then they may send it to us and I will keep track without taking any to myself. A better way would be for a respected company to come over and open a bounty for themselves, I could list it all in OP.

Please don't be surprised when I don't have a bounty to pay for you to pump the coin for multiple reasons:
A) I have less NUD than most members here.
B) I didn't pre-mine any for myself.
C) It's not some pump and dump crapcoin, I have put my heart and soul into the development and intend to so for the next couple years.

I am tired of people PMing me expecting me to have unlimited NUD for bounties.

A few pages back reflector offered 0.1 BTC for an external miner.  I will put 500 NUD on top of that.

I will also offer 0.1 BTC and 500 NUD for a block explorer (which reflector said he was working on, so maybe he can claim one bounty and collect another!).

So, we at least have a couple of small bounties on those immediate goals.  Confirm with reflector that he is still offering the 0.1 BTC bounty and feel free to add that to the ANN.

That  bounty for the external miner is still on the table.  I've also begun working on a block explorer.  It's slow going, as I have no experience with them, so it could be a while.  I'll keep working on it, but by all means, others should try as well.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: July 02, 2014, 02:50:30 PM
My first concern on any change, is that it would be very unbecoming to see your burning coin disappears without the creation of any value [I just do not burn my coin for the fun...... I love to see my coins burning only as an investment and as an investor I would like to see return on investment or I will stop burning]. The actual process seems relatively stable and fair. For me only the quantity of block generated should be increased.
The value will come in the form of mass interest in the coin.  As it looks now, it is very difficult for newcomers to break into the burning game.

Can you post more details what changes you plan to PoB target and reward scheme please

I am not too sure about the reward, but I am thinking about the reward not being determined by the burn difficulty, but by (these are just ideas): either the PoW difficulty or the rate at which coins are burned.

As for the PoB difficulty, currently, it is calculated by the amount of coins burned. I will make it so that it adjusts to a target that would average a PoB block once every 3 or 2 PoW blocks.

I would like to see more, but smaller PoB blocks, also to give a higher chance for people who burned less coins to find a PoB block. Meaning the PoB difficulty should be less, but also the reward given by it, so there won't be more coins by burning. New investors should be able to join the burning party without having to buy 1000+ SLIM

Another suggestion: Make the burned coins decay speed adjustable, from a weight on 1 to 5 or so. If a 'burner' choose to burn higher then increase the decay speed, but also his "power" to find a PoB block.
Both great ideas

I won't get rid of the premine, since I want to be able to give FRESH coins to people who contribute and want to invest time. (a part of it is already shown in the bounties section). let me know if one got a better solution...

If you have a good enough idea, it will work itself out..
I must be getting old

My transaction history shows a mint by burn, but I never received any coins for it. This isn't the first time it's happened. What gives?
type in getburndata and post the result here

Is anyone successfully running the linux daemon?  I am a linux newb but trying to learn, good god how the fuck does anyone put up with this nonsense?  I prefer my shit to just work.

Every version of Ubuntu I have tried, I get stuck at something about libboost 1.0.49 or something.  Updating libboost library doesn't help.

On Debian 7.0, I get past the libboost shit, and get stuck at GLIBC_2.15 and GLIBC 2.14 not found.

If you are running the linux daemon, plus let me know your distro and what dependencies were required, because I am lost.

I've mined on Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 without any problems.  Admittedly, boost is a pain in the ass if you get the versions messed up, but if you are starting from a clean install, this should work on the distros above:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install git
sudo apt-get install build-essential libboost-all-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb5.1-dev libdb5.1++-dev mysql-server
cd ~
wget http://62.210.217.242/master.zip

from there, install unzip, compile the source, set up your config file and let er rip

Linux doesn't ever *just work*.  Google every error you get for like a month, and you will begin to see how computers work.

How to compile source?  I think I got the rest of it down, maybe, idk.  Today is literally the first time I have ever touched linux, it is all greek to me, but I feel my neckbeard growing strong and hearty already.
OK, get yourself into the /nud/src dir
Code:
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-
this is not unique to NUD.  Let me know if you have any problems

Yeah, I know it's not unique to NUD.  But yeah, make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- is what I did, and it didn't work.

Idk, I musta fucked up somewhere else.

Ugh, let me try this again.  Freaking amazon EC2 windows instances raping me right now.

if you are going to do things like this, you will burn some money.  what are your errors?  post them here.  i, or somebody else can maybe help you.  it takes patience.
