1661  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: September 02, 2020, 08:49:54 PM
Looks like the high rollers and whales are hard at work making their money back after today's cryptocurrency market crash.

Who thinks the market is going to pump back up in the next couple of days?
1662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Top 10 DeFi Tokens on coinmarketcap in Loss on: September 02, 2020, 08:03:45 PM
It's not just DeFi, practically every cryptocurrency is down today—after Bitcoin got rejected at the $12,000 threshold once again.

However, it's not too bad. It basically wiped off the last 2-3 days of gains for most cryptocurrencies. There is still a long term bullish trend and I highly doubt we're going to stay at these levels for long.

Remember, the longer the accumulation, the more rejections, the bigger the break out. Bitcoin has been knocked back from $12,000 around five times already in the last three months, we're about to see one monster breakout soon.

Bitcoin is almost certainly going back to $20,000 this year, and altcoins are going to go damn moon.

Just make sure you've got your stop losses set!
1663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to optimally store USDC (usd coin) on: September 02, 2020, 06:56:14 PM
I personally store most of my USDC in Nexo, they offer an 8% ROI on it, or slightly more if you also hold $1k worth of their NEXO token.

Binance also recently began offering a yield on USD Coin too, though it's not quite as high as Nexo, it's still a modest 6% at the moment. Unlike Nexo, this fluctuates depending on the volatility of the market.

There's a huge range of DeFi protocols that allow you to turn a roughly stable profit on USDC too, though I can't say I've tried most of them.

You can find a relatively complete list here:

https://interest.coinmarketcap.com/currencies/usd-coin

Celsius network is currently number 1, but DYOR.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Dade to open Casinos and Restaurants for the third time. on: September 02, 2020, 03:55:03 PM
50% of their operating capacity is way too much, I still think that restaurants should stay closed into the virus infection rate gets under 1 (R value).

The US is an absolute laughing stock over how it handled the pandemic. They've got more cases and higher cases per million than even third-world countries.

They are still recording more daily cases than anywhere else, but think it's time to reopen? Come on man.

I don't think punters will bother going back to the casinos now, the majority have likely switched to online casinos during this lockdown, and wont want to go back to paying extortionate house edges.
1665  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ PlayBitcoinGames.com ♠ ♣ ♦ ♥ Casino with 27 Unique Games and Promotions! on: September 01, 2020, 10:43:31 PM
This is a solid casino.    The design is a bit dated, the games seem a bit clunky, but 100% legit and payouts are good.

multi strike poker is my absolute favorite.   a lot of fun.    Also (pro tip) they have mines competition,  not many people are playing, so if you can win, it's fairly easy to win the daily, weekly, monthly competitions.  ;-)

I agree, so far I've only seen and heard good things about this casino.

So I then ended signing up for it and let me tell you that you'll not be disappointed, specially if you're in to have a good time and turn in some profit.

The competitions as mentioned above are worth while if you got the time, specially now when there's not that much traffic - really increases your odds.

Overall, I approve of this casino in its services, perhaps not the design of the games with their odd looks but that's minor, so long as it pays out well without issues I can't complain

I really want to check whats inside the site but it seems only russian can understand it.

If you want to have many players here in forum you should create an option of language in the first place to understand what we need to do to sign-up to your website.

Google chrome browser auto-translate can't translate your website. I don't know why.

Goodluck Minter Poker.

So glad to see that the team has worked really hard to make the website in English.

Otherwise, I was going to say that a large body of players would be lost as people don't have the time for Google translate like you suggested. So well done for doing this.

One word of cautionary advice is that it is off-putting for a player that is open to trying new websites only to find out that they have to register, even if you do say it's a quick process people just don't want to go that extra mile. Something to think about...
1668  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I need 5 sources of revenue to generate $200 each per month - Ideas? on: August 31, 2020, 10:58:34 PM
I must say this has turned out to be a very intriguing thread. So many great ideas are here that is shared by so many great people that hold no qualms about sharing their income ideas and methods. Very often in the real world, you will find people shying away from such discussions. They get cautious with questions roaming in their minds like what if that guy gets my job?

However, I see a lot of recurring ideas here. Ads, google sense, youtube. I do not think people are reading older comments or posts before posting themselves.

@legendster please do not delay in summarizing this thread. As the more you delay, the more replies will build up.

To throw my two cents in—I'd recommend people start involving themself in DeFi projects, e.g. by going for team positions and earning equity.
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP got 30 new WHALES!!! on: August 31, 2020, 10:51:46 PM
I'm sorry but I have lost money with XRP in the past when it was really hot and it just went kaput and all long time hodlers were burned. More so, we were mocked by the very early adopters (who were still green) than we were weak hands that got burned.

That is just one toxic community and a centralized ecosystem. I will never buy into any hype that XRP puts up again! And these 30 whales will also get burned and mocked by the old ones. History will repeat itself.

Remember, Ripple still hold most of the supply, and they will continue suppressing the price to support their developments. There's a reason why XRP is one of the worst performing assets, people are losing faith.
1670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bubbalex and Cartesi team kept to bounty promise, thumbs up on: August 31, 2020, 10:07:35 PM
What do you expect? Some of the best people from the crypto community were involved with that group. It is backed by Binance and it has a huge developer and community support that it has been cultivating for over two years prior to their big listing. You don't get that kind of support by being flaky with your promises.

But with the market now practically entirely focused on DeFi (and Cartesi isn't DeFi), I'm not sure it's going to receive the same attention as it would have otherwise warranted.

I won't be buying any bags.
1671  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Empty Blocks on: August 31, 2020, 08:47:57 PM
It's perfectly normal and is usually a result of SPV mining.

When a block is discovered, time is taken for the block to propagate and for the miners to verify the entire block. This can take a few seconds and those time would be wasted if the ASICs and the miners were just to idle and wait for the pool to validate the block. Enter SPV mining, SPV mining takes the block header of the previous block and create a new block header without including any transactions so as to prevent any conflicting transactions.

After the block is fully validated, the pool goes ahead to do everything normally and compile the unconfirmed transactions from the mempool. These kinds of blocks are usually observed when the blocks are mined in quick succession.

But wouldn't this create many empty blocks eventually after the decades of transactions? I know right now the size limited by that single reward it gives out to the miners. But can't a sidechain be implemented for the rewards itself? I do count myself among those few members that think that empty blocks are indeed a waste of resources. All it would take to stop empty blocks from being mined is simply not allowing miners to solve a block's hash without downloading the entire content for that block. I think a simple line of code could even solve this. No?

I personally think the block reward should be stripped from empty or stuffed blocks. It's just causing inflation for now real benefit.
1672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 28, 2020, 09:23:32 PM
Good God, what goes through these people's minds? You would think after losing several million dollars that you would call it a day—especially considering that most of these players only had this sort of money by winning it in the first place.

I wonder what the single largest loss in all of history was?

You would think that some billionaires must have lost at least $10 million in a single bet. Especially if you consider trading losses at bets—there have been some devastating wipeouts in recent history, even back in March this year.

I wonder what the poker table looks like at billionaire meetup events?!
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN WE STILL GET THE 2017 BULL IN THIS 2020? on: August 28, 2020, 08:02:20 PM
I think we already have achieved some similarities to the 2017 bull run.

But instead of ICOs, we have things like Strongholder Offerings and DYCOs making the big bucks.

I also think that there's a major shift towards direct utility now. People want to be able to use the platforms they invest in within days or weeks, rather than waiting the years like many ICOs promised. As we saw in 2017, these years mostly led most projects to failure. The paradigm now favors swift development and clear uses cases, rather than overpromising and then not delivering.

Most platforms now at least launch with some GitHub code or a beta platform. And the pump isn't quite so big now. But there's still money out there for the savvy investors.
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK hospital launches rehab programme for bitcoin addiction on: August 28, 2020, 07:09:40 PM
Seems like people really can get addicted to chart-watching. I've been guilty of spending too much time watching the chart action myself, so I can understand the issue here.

I think it's definitely a bigger problem when you've got a lot of skin in the game, and exchange 1-2% move could be knocking thousands or even tens of thousands off your portfolio.

People can get addicted to practically anything, especially things that make or lose money.

There's even an entire series about it on Youtube called My Strange Addiction—where you've got people addicted to eating plastic, sniffing gasoline, and one person was addicted to eating her dead boyfriend's ashies  Undecided

If it can spike or drop your dopamine, you can get addicted to it.

1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Guide] Best Altcoins to Invest in 2020 on: August 28, 2020, 05:31:43 PM
You're discussing top 50 cryptocurrencies as if they're the best altcoins to invest in....

Come on dude, we live in a time when small cap coins are pumping by 500%+, why on Earth is anybody going to invest in largecaps and get like 20-30% when they could be getting multiple fold returns?

If people are looking for real gains, they should be paying attention to the hot up-and-coming small caps.

But if they want a good balance of low risk, vs modest reward, then large-caps are decent for that.

I'm personally in it for the next 100x.
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Oscar De La Hoya vs Amir Khan? on: August 28, 2020, 01:22:50 PM
Even though De La Hoya is pushing 50, he was one of the greatest to ever do it in his prime.

Amir Khan, on the other hand, was good, but few would argue he is great. He's not going to go down with the hall of famers.

Although De La Hoya hasn't been active for a decade, he's still been balls-deep in the industry ever since, and has been keeping fit and active at the same time. He's also naturally bigger than Khan with more power and better reach. It's definitely going to be a tale of power vs speed.

I think it's a fair fight, but I'd have to give the slight edge to the younger man. Khan is almost at championship level now, it will be hard for a 47-year old to beat him. Even De La Hoya is no George Foreman.
1678  Economy / Services / Re: Fast and Easy Money opportunity on: August 28, 2020, 09:38:29 AM
How much are you willing to pay for this service? I'm assuming the corporate bank account will be in your name, correct?

Also, which country are you looking to open the account in? I may be able to help facilitate these.

Please send the details via PM if you're not comfortable disclosing it publicly.

Best of luck!
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why every IEO on P2PB2B exchange? on: August 27, 2020, 10:43:53 PM
If you have ever managed a project on Telegram, then you will know that a bunch of guys representing shit exchanges like P2PB2B will reach out to you trying to list your project.

They'll usually try to secure a security deposit in the form of project tokens and/or cash for the process, but will often take whatever they can.

The absolute trashest of projects sometimes take them up on their offer, hence why all the IEOs on this exchange are horrendous and all fail.

The exchange itself can't even grow its userbase, how the hell is it going to raise money on behalf of others... They just take advantage of naive project managers.
1680  Other / Archival / Re: Betting Systems on: August 27, 2020, 09:54:55 PM
Excellent post right here, but I don't think it goes far enough into the drawbacks of betting systems.

Realistically, in most games of chance you stand your best chance of making a profit by dropping an extremely large bet once, and then taking the profits first time around.

The more you play, the closer to the expected result you move. As such, if you're playing thousands of games using some strategy, odds are your win/loss ratio will be close to expected.

Systems will not help in the long run. I'm not even here they help short-term either.

Anybody have any statistics showing the effectiveness of systems in the short vs long-term? (+ merit)
