1661  Other / Politics & Society / Re: European Union looks to Nigeria for Gas to replace Russian supplies on: July 25, 2022, 09:58:04 AM
the supply of gas and crude was cut off from Europe by Russia.

It is the EU that does not want to buy gas from Russia; Russia does not cut anything off from the EU.

The natural gas export from Russia to Europe isn't under any EU sanctions right now, but the EU has declared that it will cut off Russian oil and gas completely after 10 years. I'm not sure that they are going to keep this promise. Putin is about to stop the gas supplies in the upcoming winter.
Countries like Nigeria, Algeria and Azerbaijan cannot replace the Russian gas for Europe. The USA can't do it as well. The EU countries will have to reduce the consumption of natural gas and find alternative fuels.
I don't know anything about the Nigerian gas industry, but I'm sure that Nigeria can't export larger quantities to Europe. There will be a global shortage of gas tankers.
1662  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🧿🧿🧿 YAS.BET Online Sports, Live Casino, Poker, Games, Crash, Betting 🧿🧿🧿 on: July 25, 2022, 06:26:10 AM
You have a very specific set of languages for your website- Turkish, Azerbaijani, Farsi, Indonesian, Malaya, Arabian, etc.
It seems that you want to target lots of Muslim countries in the region of south Asia. I'm not sure if gambling is allowed in those countries. Maybe it isn't. Are you sure that citizens of those countries will be allowed by their Internet Service Providers to access your website?
You have a Quracao gambling license, which is great, the website looks really good and the design is nice and clean. I see that it is mobile friendly, which is a must nowadays, since most internet users and gamblers are using mobile phones rather than laptops and computers. Everything seems very professional.
Good luck with this project, OP.

1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will Never Fall Again on: July 25, 2022, 06:02:44 AM
Having Bitcoin "experts" pretending to understand how the blockchain works and trying to explain it to other people by talking complete BS is totally cringe. You did a great job, but at the end of the day, nobody cares that much about what peer-to-peer actually is and how the blockchain works. The only thing that gets people's attention is how to make money out of Bitcoin and what will happen with the Bitcoin price.
You could give yourself a medal for being a "Bitcoin educator", but 95% of the people will stay completely ignorant about Bitcoin and how it works. Grin We can't change this. It doesn't matter how desperately we are trying to promote BTC and it's features to other people.
1664  Economy / Economics / Re: Potential economics behind mining in the future on: July 24, 2022, 10:09:39 AM
Quote
Bitcoins price will keep increasing forever.
Bitcoins price stabilises at some point.
Bitcoins price falling till zero.

The first scenario is my favorite, but there's a catch. The Bitcoin price will keep increasing, but the volatility will remain and there will be more ups and downs, bull markets and bear markets.
The second scenario will never happen. The Bitcoin price cannot be stabilized. Even mass BTC adoption won't stabilize the price.
The third scenario is highly unlikely to happen. Even if Bitcoin mining gets banned globally, many miners will keep mining illegally and the Bitcoin price will survive at levels way above zero. Of course, the price levels might never reach the 2017 or the 2021 ATH, due to the mass ban.
I'm sure that the Bitcoin miners will survive without mining rewards. This topic has been discussed multiple times before and you don't add anything new to the discussion.
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 24, 2022, 06:14:34 AM
Here's my list(about football betting).
1.Use matched betting, if you live in the UK. You will make some easy money at the start. You can't become rich, though.
2.Pick unpredictable teams, which are in the middle of the ranking(5-15th place). I usually pick teams that could win against every opponent and lose against every opponent. I usually don't bet on stronger teams, that are considered favorites by the bookies.
3.Pick teams that have good statistics at scoring many goals, but also get a lot of goals.
4.Find "high value bets". This is a more complex topic and it should be a part of another discussion.
5.Practice,practice,practice.
6.Remembet that, at the end of the day, sports betting is all about luck(just like any other form of gambling). Your "betting strategy" doesn't matter that much and, in 99% of the time, you can't outsmart the bookies.
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in Church. on: July 24, 2022, 05:49:52 AM
Cryptocurrencies are money and money is the root of all evil, according to almost every religion.
I have nothing against some pastor educating it's people about the risks of dealing with cryptocurrency trading and investing.
However, this looks really cringe, if you ask me.  Grin The church is definitely the wrong place to teach people how to invest and trade.
Anyway, perhaps some protestant TV evangelists might adopt cryptocurrency donations. This doesn't seem like a wrong approach(if the coins are spent for a good cause). The problem is that most TV evangelists are greedy fanatics, who want to brainwash as many people as possible and make more money out of them.
1667  Economy / Gambling / Re: I feel I being cheated by Primedice Affiliate and Support is like bots no help. on: July 22, 2022, 10:21:17 AM
This is why I hate affiliate/referral programs. They seem like a waste of time and effort for little to no returns.
You bring new customers to those gambling platforms and the website owners show their gratitude by leaving you with zero commissions(or they are shaving the commissions in most cases).
You should've read the Terms and Conditions of the Primedice affiliate program. Maybe there is some hidden catch and some secret conditions that weren't met by the referred accounts, in order for you to get a commission. The affiliate managers can find any excuse to shave or block your commissions. I don't believe that you will get your hard earned coins from PM. Just don't waste your time promoting affiliate/referral links.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Smartphones: Multi-tabling insanity! on: July 22, 2022, 06:02:51 AM
This guy is most likely a genius. Staying focused and not getting confused while playing on 29 smartphones is a job for a genius person.
I guess that he has 29 IP addresses, which means 29 different SIM cards(probably). In my country only 8 SIM cards are allowed per person.
The most important question is does he really own 29 smartphones, or some of them are borrowed from someone else. Grin
How much does he pay for internet? Is he using public Wi-Fi(which is a really bad move).
Maybe he doesn't know that multi-tab browsing exists and you could open multiple tabs in one browser. Anti-tracking browsers also exist(like Dolphin browser). He could use Dolphin browser, if he's too afraid of getting caught. Grin However, I'm no expert in cyber security and online privacy.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Champions in this Bitcoin Winter on: July 22, 2022, 05:31:06 AM
The opportunists will come and go, while the diehard fans will stay. We as diehard fans will survive the crypto winter and we will wait for the next bullish season, when many opportunists with join the crypto world again and pump the crypto prices.
Companies like Tesla are the opportunists, while companies like Microstrategy and Binance are the diehard supporters.
The problem is that the number of supporters isn't increasing as fast as we want and many institutional investors would restrain from buying Bitcoins. In times of crisis, the investors are running away from the high risk assets and searching for a safe heaven.
Anyway,I don't get the point of wasting money to buy an advertisement about buying Bitcoins. Many Bitcoin supporters are simply insane. Grin
1670  Economy / Speculation / Re: On not very shocking news, Tesla dumps majority of bitcoin on: July 21, 2022, 10:47:13 AM
I remember Elon Musk complaining about Tesla factories losing money and having difficulties with the production schedule.
Maybe that's why Tesla sold most of it's BTC reserves. Anyway, this isn't such a big deal and we as Bitcoin maximalists shouldn't act butthurt.
Tesla has the right to sell their BTC reserves anytime they want.

That is what BTC is for Elon Musk, a speculative asset like any other, such as Doge or shares of another company. There is nothing special about it for him.

Well, Bitcoin is "a speculative asset" for 80-90% of all the Bitcoiners. Grin There's nothing wrong with viewing a financial asset as "speculative".
Speculation is having a high risk/reward attitude in trading. It's simply buying low and selling high for profit.
I don't know why the term "speculation" still has negative connotation attached to it.
Elon Musk never expressed any positive opinions about Bitcoin, he mostly neutral about BTC, so we shouldn't think that he was a hardcore Bitcoin believer.
1671  Economy / Economics / Re: Can BTC keep up with another Fed rates hike? on: July 21, 2022, 10:18:18 AM

Emphasis on the word "resistant" - it does not care about the price movements of other assets!

[/quote]

Bitcoin isn't supposed to "care" about the movements of other assets, but the Bitcoin traders/investors are the ones who care. Grin
The market is created by people and most of them act emotionally. The Bitcoin market isn't different. When there are pessimistic news and FUD, the BTC market reacts. When the stock markets goes down, the crypto market goes downs as well.
I wouldn't call the most volatile financial asset "resistant". Volatility and resistance are two completely different things.
Interest rate hikes will definitely cause the crypto winter to take longer. We need fresh newly printed money, in order to pump the Bitcoin/crypto prices. I'm sure that Bitcoin will survive the Federal Reserve interest rate hikes, and I'm sure that the Federal Reserve doesn't want a long term recession. That's why the interest rates might be lowered after a year or two.
1672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 21, 2022, 05:52:14 AM
Many newbies would still put the blame on Bitcoin for centralized crypto exchanges not letting them withdraw their coins. Grin
Having money in the bank is like giving loan to someone without a collateral. This "loan" is supposed to be guaranteed by the government to some extent, but you don't know what will happen when the sh&t hits the fan. Every bank could easily find multiple excuses to block your bank account and legally steal your funds. What is stopping them is the market competition and the central bank regulation. No commercial bank would want to lose it's reputation and trustworthiness.
China is a totalitarian country and the government/central bank can do whatever it wants with people's savings.
1673  Economy / Economics / Re: A Government-Suitable Digital Currency (CBDC vs. StableCoin) on: July 20, 2022, 10:13:09 AM
It seems that you have confused two concepts, the first of which are stablecoins and the second digital currencies (CBDC,) stablecoina are nothing but a fixation in trading and then expanded their use outside the trading platforms, but they do not represent anything of value outside the blockchain model and therefore countries or governments cannot adopt them.

Digital currencies are a representation of the monetary system in a complete digital form, independent of commercial banks, meaning that the one who controls these currencies is the central bank directly and not through intermediaries (banking applications and banking services) as is happening now.

I agree with your statement. CBDCs are designed to make the financial system more centralized by removing the middlemen-the banks and the financial service providers. Stablecoins on the other hand are simply adding an unnecessary middleman between fiat money and the customers.
The only purpose of stablecoins is to make cryptocurrency trading more convenient by adding a less volatile pseudo-financial asset.
What's the point of using a stablecoin that is backed by fiat money, when you could use fiat money directly? I believe that stablecoins have no other utility besides crypto trading.
With CBDCs we will borrow money directly from the central banks in the future. I'm not sure if this going to be good or bad. It definitely has pros and cons and we will need a more in-depth analysis.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 20, 2022, 05:32:03 AM
I don't get the "trying your luck via gambling" thing. You could try your luck without betting money on it. Grin
Unfortunately most of the people gamble because of that hidden subconscious thought that they will make a "big hit" and they will win big money without any efforts. This is basically your "monkey mind" playing tricks on you. I remember that the subconscious mind was called "monkey mind" by buddhism and keeping your monkey mind under control is the most important part of growing as a person.
I'm no expert in Chinese culture and we have to ask some Chinese guy about the theory of gambling being a big part of Chinese culture.
My culture definitely doesn't require me to gamble. Gambling is still viewed as a bad thing where I live, despite many people visiting the offline casinos and playing lottery.
1675  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 20, 2022, 05:01:27 AM
The news about Celsius going bankrupt and Russia getting anti-crypto again were supposed to cause more FUD, but the Bitcoin price actually went up a little bit, which is weird. I expect a global recession to strike in the second half of 2022. This means that the crypto winter would most likely continue for the next year and a half of maybe 2 years. The BTC price might increase temporarily to levels above 20K or even 25K, but there won't be enough bullish momentum to push the price up to 30K-40K. The greed and optimism on the crypto markets cannot reach the 2017 or 2021 levels. Just HODL and enjoy your life. There won't be any reason to keep an eye on the Bitcoin price everyday in the upcoming months.
1676  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: July 19, 2022, 10:26:06 AM
Protesting against inflation is like protesting against the weather. It's totally pointless.
Can the protesters force the central banks to stop printing money? Nope.
Can the protesters stop the war in Ukraine and change the hostile relations between Russia and the western world(which leads to high fuel prices)? Nope.
The protesters want government support, which will lead to more government debts and bigger budget deficits(which will make the inflation worse). Some protesters even want fixed prices or controlled prices. Those people don't know how market economy works. Fixed prices will cause big shortages of goods and a possible black market.
The only way to survive the inflation is to make more money and cut all unnecessary costs.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could become the gold of 21th century? on: July 19, 2022, 05:51:06 AM
There's no need for Bitcoin to replace gold. Both can coexist without a problem.
Scarcity isn't enough for an asset to become the best store of value. A bunch of random "developers" could easily create a centralized "scarce" altcoin with a fixe maximum supply in circulation. The problem is who is going to trust such centralized "scarce" altcoin.
Bitcoin had built enough trust in the last 12 years and it had proven to be the most secure cryptocurrency(assuming that you don't rely on centralized BTC wallets and crypto trading platforms). I can't be bothered with the question about BTC global dominance or Bitcoin becoming the "gold of the 21st century". I don't think that Bitcoin will ever going to reach complete global dominance, but that's OK.
1678  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you look down on Bushy or undeveloped areas? on: July 18, 2022, 10:16:57 AM
I live in the country where the population is decreasing and more and more houses and apartments are left empty.
Your problem is more related to country with growing population, where the cities are growing and some villages are turning into cities because of the increasing population. Some developed areas are slowly turning into bushy undeveloped areas in the place where I live.
30 years ago the real estate prices in my country were 10 times cheaper than now and I remember my mother expressing regret for not buying an apartment back in 1992 or 1993.
I don't want to buy a house or apartment, because I don't have kids and I don't plan having kids. What's the point of buying a house or apartment, when nobody will inherit that property after 20-30 years?
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 18, 2022, 05:33:40 AM
I'm not an expert on Fengshui, but if a casino is really arranged by the laws of Fengshui, wouldn't all the gamblers playing in that casino become lucky. If the gamblers suddenly became lucky, wouldn't the casino start losing money and eventually go bankrupt? Grin
If the casino owner is smart, he would never follow the rules of fengshui and he will do everything he can to attract luck to himself and reduce the gambler's luck. Grin I believe that fengshui is pure superstition and all this sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.
It's true that many gamblers are superstitious and the casinos are making some changes to attract more superstitious gamblers, but I don't think that having different interior design would change your luck. At the end of the day, the casino always wins. With or without fengshui.
1680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto question! on: July 18, 2022, 05:10:40 AM
it's so I just opened up a coin base account (turned 18 a while ago) and I have been looking at the market Best Private Lenders for High Risk Personal Loans South Africa and shit is down bad, Has anyone got any advice on this? what coin should I buy and has anyone got any discord/telegram chats to join for these topics?

Why do you even care about private lenders for high risk personal loans? Do you want to borrow money from such lender? I advise you to stay away from lenders and loan companies. Other members already gave you a decent advise. Just buy BTC and HODL for the long term(and don't trust Coinbase). If you want to do day trading with leverage that's a completely different topic. Day trading doesn't seem like a good idea for a young person like you.
If you want to discuss crypto on Discord just search for cryptocurrency related Discord servers on Disboard. AFAIK, Disboard is the biggest directory for Discord servers. Watch out for scam servers, Discord is full of scammers and scam servers.
