841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud or Its Reality? BTC is Down Again on: June 06, 2023, 05:49:09 AM
Quote
The answer is simple FUD and FUD, (i am not trying to accuse anyone here just stating the facts) people are exiting from the market as i mentioned above and volume is decreasing which is a bad sign. The dominance of BTC will decrease. I wonder what would have created so much panic among lower-class traders and investors who have exited the market.

1.Trading volume can decrease right now and increase after several months. I don't think that trading volume is such an important metric.
2.BTC dominance going down? Do you really think that the altcoins will stay bullish, when Binance gets out of business? I think that the entire crypto market will get affected in the short term. There's no reason to worry, though.
3.Most crypto traders/investors are just "sheep". They are cowards and every time something bad happens, they just panic and sell.
The crypto markets will be fine in the long term. The crypto world can survive without Binance(if Binance really gets shut down).

842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chat GPT do a TA about bitcoin on: June 05, 2023, 10:31:50 AM
ChatGPT definitely knows how to tell us what we want to hear. Grin We are all bullish in the long term and bearish in the short term, when it comes to predicting the Bitcoin price. I don't need AI tools like ChatGPT to tell me what I already know.
It's funny how some people think that such AI tools can be viewed as some kind of Oracle or a prophet.
I use ChatGPT only for fun. There's no reason to take seriously the inaccurate answers of some imperfect piece of artificial intellect.
843  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing PokerWorld365: The Next Generation of Poker on: June 05, 2023, 06:53:32 AM
We have to download it ? Do you mean it’s an app ? Mate here you only lost half of the traffic that would have atleast check your site. Gambling apps are banned in both ios and playstore. So this means, you will prompt us to download it from third party services, and hence there are risk of getting hacked. So yes no one will download the app to be honest. It would have been great if you could have launched the platform in web based applications. May we know the reason for launching mobile applications?

Nowadays mobile traffic dominates completely over desktop traffic and most people use their smartphones to surf the internet and do various things.
AFAIK, GGpoker is one of the legit poker apps(they have both a mobile app and desktop software) so there shouldn't be a problem with malware.
However, I'm not sure about this pokerworld365 website. This is some kind of poker club instead of a poker platform. They have a new Youtube channel with only one 26 seconds long introduction video(it seems kinda generic).
It seems that the marketing of this poker project isn't very professional, which is a red flag for me. Also, the OP, who started this forum thread isn't active and he isn't answering all the questions here.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ID Security Requirements and Security Methods.🔗 on: June 05, 2023, 06:04:33 AM
There is no such thing as a "Bitcoin ID".

I was thinking the same thing. Grin
It seems that OP has copy pasted some article about crypto privacy and he just wants to boost his post count here.
The best way to protect your ID card is to not share it with anyone else. This is just common sense.

when using a mobile device with a sms 2FA, the exchange then has your phone number. which if requested by authorities they can then ping that number and see all of the locations it was spotted on the cellular network.
if you are seen each night to ping at a certain address they can learn that you live(sleep) there and so found out where you live

2FA and use of exchanges is the easiest way to get found especially if you use a mobile device

Non-VoIP phone number services like Textverified and SMSpva are a thing, if you want to keep your phone number away from the crypto exchanges. I'm sure that those phone number services support the big crypto exchange platforms, but this comes at a cost(unfortunately).
2FA isn't the best form of account protection, since SIM swapping is a problem.

845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 04, 2023, 11:02:50 AM
This guy probably must have suffered from depression. I don't believe that a person with good mental health would do such thing.
Committing suicide because you have lost money?!? This is absurd. Losing money is not the end of the world. Debts can be repaid, money can be earned. Life cannot be returned after someone have lost it. Life is more important than the money.
I remember another horror story about a guy, who lost all his savings in a ponzi scheme and he committed suicide(he served in the military).
Not related to gambling, but I can't understand why would somebody end his life just because he lost money.

And off course i don't like it you dont like it ww3 is about to break out any time soon

If World War 3 is about to start then what's the point of buying gold? We all should buy food, water and other necessary stuff in order to survive. We can't eat gold, when there's a food shortage. Grin Yes, you could use gold to buy food, but what's the point for the food sellers to acquire more gold? World War 3 would be most likely a thermonuclear war and the human civilization would be wiped out of the face of the Earth. There's no point of hoarding precious metals like gold.
And no, I don't believe that there will be hyperinflation in the USA anytime soon.
You are basically shit-posting in order to boost your post count.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency a financial pyramid on: June 04, 2023, 06:29:43 AM
I came across a news on Quora and I went into a very deep reason on the reality  of life and judge from the article on the post, I couldn't agree less with the author/writer because at the long run, it seems money is just circulating and the moment  money seizes circulation, even the price of bitcoin  is affected, hence the price of bitcoin  would increase if demand increases and demand can only increase when there is more money to spend.

So I had to bring this to the forum to know if you guys also think, cryptocurrency is some ways a financial pyramid.
Let's discuss please

All financial pyramids collapse sooner or later. Bitcoin is here since 2009 and it won't be collapsing anytime soon.
There are other scarce resources and assets with limited supply and unstable demand. Does that mean that they are a financial pyramid as well? According to this dumb logic, gold and diamonds can also be considered a financial pyramid. Grin
There are differences between a financial pyramid(ponzi scheme) and a pump&dump shitcoin scam. Those differences have been mentioned multiple times on the forum years ago. Just search for the old forum threads about this topic.

Anyway, NFTs on Ethereum got soo much liquidity last bull market, I'm definitely expecting lots of that (and new) liquidity going to Bitcoin NFTs and am watching projects very carefully.

So basically you are expecting another "Pump and Dump" NFT wave.
The people, who were pumping and dumping shitcoins and shittokens years ago moved into pumping and dumping NFTs.
The NFTs markets on the Ethereum blockchain lost their hype and you think that the BTC Ordinals will bring a new wave of "pump and dump" hype? Really? Nobody buys NFTs because they like the art of because the NFT has some kind of utility. The "pump & dumpers" buy NTFs in order to sell them at a bigger price. This is definitely a "tulip mania"/price bubble/"pump & dump" scam to me.
What makes the Bitcoin NFTs(Ordinals) better than the Ethereum NFTs? The obvious answer is only one. NOTHING!

849  Economy / Gambling / Re: THNDR Play Games to Earn Bitcoin on: June 02, 2023, 06:25:59 AM
I think that this topic doesn't belong to the Gambling forum, because it's about gaming, not gambling.
The players don't place bets on the platform you mentioned, they just play the games and earn really tiny awards.
The earning potential is so tiny that the players are basically wasting their time. Playing some boring games for hours only for the sake of getting the equivalent of 200 satoshi is a waste of time.
There's another crypto gaming platform called Rollercoin. You could play games there, earn a tiny amount and reinvest into "mining equipment". The website seems to be legit(according to some online reviews), but there are way better ways to earn money online.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: June 01, 2023, 11:03:41 AM
Changing of terms and conditions without notifying the users or gamblers is normal with online gambling websites? Then when you did something wrong or about to withdraw your money they will tell you that you don't read their terms and conditions, and you start arguing with them until you decide to read the ToS again and you find out that it's different.

Some gambling websites consist of wicked owners that willingly plan to defraud their users using the ToS against them, or is this normal? Have such happened to anyone on this forum before?

Every online service(including online casinos) must be required by the law to notify their customers when there are changes in the Terms of Service. The customers must agree to the changes of the ToS, if they don't, they are free to leave that particular platform and close their accounts. I agree that some shady online casinos are using their ToS as an excuse to scam their gamblers. This is terrible, but we can't find a way to stop those casinos from doing such things. Maybe the only way would be to spread awareness about which casinos act shady and against which casinos the gamblers have the most negative reviews. Perhaps decentralized gambling might become the new norm after several years and the gamblers would just gamble by using their own cold wallets, instead of sending coins to a centralized entity.

Now china is now taking the biggest approach to embracing web3 and support some crypto projects, since china has banned Bitcoin over 6 times in the past do you think this is another fake move?

Can you mention a few web3 and crypto projects, that were "supported by China"?
China doesn't support anything(by China I mean the Chinese government), maybe some private companies and investors are supporting crypto projects in Hong Kong, but that doesn't mean that the Chinese government supports them. I know that Hong Kong is under the rule of China, but that doesn't mean that Hong Kong doesn't have some sort of autonomy. The basic idea of the Chinese policy is to have certain areas where the government regulations are more liberal(like Hong Kong in the fintech sector and Macao for gambling). I don't know why it is like that. The Chinese communists doesn't always act in a logical manner. Grin
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Wrong with Roger Ver? ::) on: June 01, 2023, 05:15:16 AM
Roger Ver helped in the early days of Bitcoin adoption, but later on, he believed that scaling is the biggest problem of Bitcoin and tried to create his own version of Bitcoin, that would solve the scaling issue(and failed miserably). He's more like an opportunist rather than a believer.
Like many forum members have already stated, Ver is more like a businessman and investor, rather than a Bitcoin developer.
I highly doubt that Vitalik Buterin would pay Roger Ver for vouching crypto projects. Ver has little to no authority in the crypto world, after he lost the scaling war in 2017. Maybe the small sect of fanatic Bitcoin Cash supporters would still trust Ver, but I'm not sure how many people still support BCH. Grin

At a time when most countries are devastated by the war, some countries take advantage of the opportunity to acquire huge wealth. But if the poor countries go to buy something, they are harassed and banned in various restrictions. Don't you think this policy is cruel to poor countries?

Most countries being devastated by a war? What war? Did World War III just start? Are you talking about the war in Ukraine?
How the hell could the war in Ukraine devastate most of the countries in the world? I don't think that most of the countries in the world seem "devastated" right now. The global inflation is caused by FED and the big central banks around the world, not by the war in Ukraine.
The poor countries can't buy lots of things, because they don't have enough money, not because they are harassed or banned.
UAE has lots of money, so they can buy whatever they want from whoever they want.
Some authoritarian regimes get harassed and sanctioned by the US, but this is kinda understandable. The USA still wants to play the role of a "global policeman".
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 31, 2023, 06:03:49 AM
The gambling industry can implement both VR and AI, if there's a clear benefit from both technologies.
I doubt that VR adds anything new or exciting to the gambling experience. Creating a fake virtual casino environment won't stimulate the gamblers to spend more money. I'm not sure how AI would help for fighting fraud, since the online gambling industry already has enough anti-fraud protection measures in their arsenal. Perhaps the gamblers could use AI to improve their performance, and the online casino owners won't be very happy, if such thing happens.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The time has come to earn Bitcoin from a Youtube channel on: May 31, 2023, 05:33:40 AM
The crypto niche on Youtube seems relatively small. Most crypto related Youtube channels have several thousand views per video, which is small amount by the Youtube standards and I guess that they cannot be properly monetized. I wouldn't feel comfortable begging crypto enthusiasts for crypto donations, but you can do this, if you want to.
I don't think that a 81 year old man would attract a big audience on Youtube(or social media in general). Nowadays, everything on social media is about young hot girls. It's way easier for a young and hot girl to grow a following on social media.
You could do whatever you want, but I think that starting a Youtube channel in 2023 seems more like a waste of time and effort.
856  Economy / Economics / Re: Dedollarization is here, like it or not on: May 30, 2023, 10:10:47 AM
This is yet another forum thread about dedollarization(which doesn't add anything new to the discussion). Grin
OK, dedollarization might happen. And so what? The world will be facing another recession or depression(which is part of the cyclic nature of capitalism). Putin's propaganda keeps repeating the same "dedollarization" theory over and over again. I don't mind. I don't give a shit about the US dollar. The global dominance of the USA is heading towards a decline and this is a normal process.
I think that it will be surprisingly easy for many countries around the world to dump the US dollar and the US dominated financial infrastructure.
Weaponizing the US dollar and the financial infrastructure was a big mistake by the Biden administration, but I couldn't care less about the "libtards" in the USA.
857  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinzino.io closes accounts and takes money from players for no reason on: May 30, 2023, 06:26:18 AM
This case checks all the necessary criteria for the typical "new casino scams a gambler" horror story.
1.The casino is small and relatively new(I have never heard about coinzino.io before).
2.The gambler deposits a relatively big amount of money(3000 USD is a big amount).
3.The casino finds a BS excuse to blame the gambler for fraud and legally steal his money(or customer support is simply lying).
The question here is, why do gamblers keep depositing big amount of money to relatively new and untrusted online casinos? Is it because of the big bonuses or is it something else? OP, can't you just deposit 10USD and play for fun? What's the point of depositing big amounts of money? Greed? Gambling addiction?

858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OCC recommend banks to offer private key vaults to customers on: May 30, 2023, 05:53:45 AM
Quote
If the bank adopts such a business technique of impacting the cryptocurrency space, it could help the market, but it's not advisable for banks to hold their customer's private keys; the security can be guaranteed since they save different assets for people too. If a hacker gets to their database, unless they save it in a paper, it'll be disastrous. Hence, I see positive reactions to the idea, many banking customers getting into crypto is a good wave, entering the market on the wrong side is a disadvantage to them.

The guy, who proposed this BS idea(banks holding private keys) clearly doesn't understand the concept of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. The big problem here aren't even the hackers. The bank could just enter the crypto wallets of it's customers and steal their crypto.
It's like inviting a burglar into your house and giving him the key to your safe deposit box. It doesn't make any sense.
And no, this idea won't speed up crypto adoption, because the possibility of getting scammed will scare away many people.
The people aren't dumb.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 29, 2023, 10:19:02 AM
What do you mean by "the job market"? Certain professions are going to be replaced by AI, while others won't be impacted at all.
All the ghost writers, copywriters, article writers might be having a hard time competing with AI tools like Chatgpt.
The same thing applies to all web designers, photographers and artists. They can't compete with Midjourney and other image generating AI tools.
On the other hand, Chatgpt can't mow your lawn, clean your house or repair your car. Maybe in the future, the robots will become so advanced that they will do physical labor, but this will happen probably after several decades(if the human civilization survives World War III).
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crazy Sports Betting Idea on: May 29, 2023, 05:54:19 AM
Quote
I know it sounds crazy but that's what has been on my mind. Do you think it is feasible? Do you think sports bookies will incorporate this type of betting?

Why do you think it's crazy? This idea doesn't seem crazy at all. Since the events cannot be easily predicted by the bettors, there's no problem for the bookies to include such betting options in their platforms. I'm thinking about different ways to manipulate such betting options. What if the owner of a football team secretly places bets on sacking the manager of his football team? Wouldn't this be unfair? Maybe this is the main reason why the bookies won't implement such bets. The outcome of such events can be decided by a small amount of people, which makes those events easy to get manipulated.
