Comparing your fraction of shares to Total shares to mine, there is clearly a lower value for this block, perhaps your rig or internet connection had some issue towards the end of the block

1684  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Low rewards on bitparking - anyone else? on: October 17, 2013, 06:14:21 PM
I'm getting really low BTC rewards on bitparking.

In one week I am earning considerably less than on my previous pool. Is anyone else getting the same?
Would this be cause bitparking uses DGM or because they have a small overall hashrate?

the rewards are quite drastic - 0.025 in 7 days on bitcoin.cz and 0.01 on bitparking.

I have noticed bitparking takes a lot longer to find one block (35 to 45 hours).

Do you think I should stick with bitparking or move to another pool?
things are changing fast! All pools hash rates are skyrocketing so payouts are dropping if you keep up.

Did anyone try to change his pool website password lately (not the one for the miners) ?

After entering my email and hiting send simply nothing happens...
i changed my password a few hours ago. You have to go to your email and follow the link to change it.

So this is something I was thinking about today while I was looking at all the psu's plugged in to my power strips. Im considering this as a solution to that ugly mess of wires that my gf hates. I have all D-Link 7 port hubs that I would like to chain into one psu cord. Im guessing this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181143570443&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en should do the trick.
How many hubs are you going to run? I am using 3 of these PSU and running 70 USB miners

This is definitely wrong for me:

20352    2013-10-11 17:14:40    0:46:18    85167670    32588    0.00055976    262973    25.39866404    confirmed

here is mine:
20352     2013-10-11 17:14:40          0:46:18   85167670             14826      0.00357392           262973  25.39866404          confirmed

I had about 3 times as many shares as kabopar and only got about double the payout. Then you got 2.5 times more shares than me but your payout was really bad. The only thing was if you had loss connection or something else at the end of the block? My payouts on a block varies as much as 20-30% from block to block any more. But without watching the pool hash rate every minute I see it take some big swings up and down but now it keeps jumping up fast. I was going to buy some more UBS miners to go with my 70 I have now but what's the point now, no way I can keep up with the pool and hold onto my share.
1689  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: can I use Ebay USB hub w/ 40a power supply? on: October 11, 2013, 09:43:49 AM
This really depends on how much Amp the hub is drawing. My hubs runs 8 BEs, (4OC + 4 stock) perfectly for days. It's a PSU of 5V 60A. It appears that it can't draw more than 10Amp for that hub and if you do, it will melt the power plug...
Pork of coarse you are right. It does not matter how many amps you have at the plug from the PSU unless its to low. What matters at that point is how many amps the hub is drawing. Then the only next thing is how well the connection is on the barrel plug, if the connection is not a good fit, they can heat up or if the amps are over the rated amount for the barrel plugs and/or circuit board. ( I am not sure what the max amps are for this hub but 10 amps may be well beyond the max?)

Subscribing for future fire damage pictures.
No fires here.. And I added another 20a PSU which now have 70 miners total running.
1692  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: tips on cooling block erupter usbs on: October 02, 2013, 09:03:07 AM

it looks like about 58 erupters, roughly 19 Ghash. at about .003 per Gh/s per day he is making roughly .057 BTC a day at the current difficulty.

Man, so disappointing how mining went from gpus everyone could get, to being another luxury afforded primarily to the one percenters. I wanted to buy 5-8 earlier in the week but really you see the sellers sitting on 100+ and you'd think if they actually were profitable they would be used themselves.

is your time really worth the 10 dollars possibly mined from these at this point?  The cost of getting more hubs...the time to resolve power issues.  I just put together this setup basically and it took hella time to get the usbs figured out and working right.  I think there is a hardware limit of 127 different usb components onto one os too which leads me to think there are other limits on mining with these style devices.

it is my understanding that it is 127 per controller. one computer can have multiple controllers. But you can only daisy chain 5 deep.
I am only at 70 miners and start up is tuff to get them all going. I had started out daisy chaining and didn't like that at all, so I have two main 10 port hubs plugged into the computer with 5 hubs plugged into each for now. I have enough power from my 3 PSU's to still power 20 more miners before I need to add another PSU. I was kind of wondering what my limit is on one computer.  Here is a picture of 70 miners running with 3 PSU

here is how I am cooling mine
http://aurel57.blog.com/

That is awesome, do you mind divulging what you earn in btc a week/month at the current difficulty.

Yes that picture was with 56 miners and I just added 14 more since this picture was taken so I am at 70 now running at 23.6 GHs. I mine on Slush's pool and depending on the pool luck but I think I may be closer to .10-.07 per day now. I also put up a blog with information on the hardware that I used http://aurel57.blog.com/

I have upgraded my tech. I am selling off 20 am usb sticks plus 2 d-link usb hubs, for 4 bitcoins or best offer. pm me if interested.
way to much when you can buy the miners for .11 each new

i seen slush drop to 33Thash
My miners have started back up and pool hash rate is going back up.

Something is up. Pool hashing power just dropped in half in the last 10 minutes.

1698  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: September 30, 2013, 12:33:59 AM
I now have them breaking down blocks together.

Looks like you will only be able to get 3 easly on that dlink-dub-h7 hub.
With the old heatsinks that the red furies have. Yes. With the new heatsinks on the blue furies you should be able to fit one in each port (but you are limited to 6 because of power)
So they run fine along side the Erupters?
1699  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: can I use Ebay USB hub w/ 40a power supply? on: September 29, 2013, 11:24:03 PM
I tried those cheap chinese hubs. they're terrible, both with packed ac adapter, and separate 5v power. they blow. I had the ebay seller refund me after I sent them back.

If I buy a 10 port hub, I expect all 10 ports to work. No excuses.
There have been reports of even the Anker hubs having problems. But at $60+ per hub it starts to add up if a person wants to run 70-100 miners
1700  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: can I use Ebay USB hub w/ 40a power supply? on: September 29, 2013, 11:20:59 PM
Aurel57,

Is there a reason you only ran 6-7 miners per hub?
I only did because I had extra hubs and wanted to balance the load. I have had all 10 ports filled before but have been doing different combinations and checking voltage drop across the hubs. I have more USB miners coming in the next day or so and will start up another PSU and fill some of the hubs up as I get 70 miners hashing.
