1685  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the USA pay their debts, if ever? on: August 28, 2014, 12:52:00 PM
The only alternative i foresee in this regards is probably the trust the US have on world inflation to reduce the real value of the debt. So,out rightly they are not ready to pay up their debts.
1686  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin survive without the Internet? on: August 28, 2014, 10:33:04 AM
No, it can't because the whole concept of bitcoin in the first place was created to facilitate online exchanges done mainly on the internet.
1687  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a house with bitcoin on: August 28, 2014, 10:24:47 AM
Buying a house with Bitcoin would be rather difficult since a wide range of the mortgage companies are not willing to partake in it due to the fluctuating trends of Bitcoin.
1688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i find out how many coins in circulation on: August 28, 2014, 10:11:56 AM

1689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I've lost my password to multibit wallet on: August 28, 2014, 10:09:09 AM
May be your password was encrypted and you have the combination mixed up or better still write it on paper next time and keep out of reach for public eyes.
1690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I keep my wallet secure? on: August 28, 2014, 10:00:40 AM
I don't know how much BTC you have on your wallet but if its a bit high then i suggest you visit this link https://bitcoinarmory.com/about/using-our-wallet/ it will really be worth it.
1691  Other / Meta / Re: Positive (Green) Feedback on: August 26, 2014, 04:36:54 PM
Trust makes no difference, I could make 50 accounts and give myself trust, trust means nothing at all.

And so the trust feedback are split into the category "trusted" and "untrusted".

Untrusted feedback (feedback from people not on the trust list) have little impact.
And if the feedback are from 50 new accounts, there probably are some adverse effect. Wink

Exactly the green light on positive feedbacks doesn't really mean that fellow is not a scammer.
1692  Other / Meta / Re: Bribes on: August 26, 2014, 04:34:17 PM
What about gifts and donations? How can you prove that a certain staff accept a bribe? Smiley

When there are no evidences to this effect then the issue of brides can't really come to play.
1693  Other / Meta / Re: Why I am newbie and my acitivities does not increase on: August 26, 2014, 04:31:55 PM
Thanks, so you provided a mechanism for not driving so fast on this forum.

Yes, it was implemented to reduce spam (e.g. the same question asked 5 times a week) and make newbies read more than they write. Somehow I have a feeling that the restrictions currently are not tight enough. Maybe newbie jail was a good idea after all.

Its simply tied at helping newbies to be constructive and attentive towards the activities on the forum in order to aid activity growth.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people price things in fiat but want BTC - choose one or the other on: August 26, 2014, 04:26:27 PM
It's a silly argument for many reasons. We need to tie the price to something so we can understand it better. It's no different than prices for different currencies at your local currency exchange where you go to get your holiday money.

You have said it all,the difference isn't there.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: August 26, 2014, 04:23:31 PM
This is quite achievable but the only setback for now is time.
1696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need help implementing Bitcoin project at kids’ high school on: August 26, 2014, 04:21:49 PM
A very fascinating innovation and it looks complete enough for execution by my standards.
1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whitepaper: Decentralized Monetary Policy for Crytographic Currencies on: August 26, 2014, 04:19:52 PM
All based on the false premise promoted by so called economists who would never begin to "get" bitcoin. Also the false premise that people will not spend their virtual currency. The numbers prove such a premise wrong...so very very wrong...

I have been trying to comprehend this graph but the picture's just not clear.
1698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bandcamp and Bitcoin on: August 26, 2014, 04:18:02 PM
It is really shocking to realize that a merchant like Bandcamp is yet to approve BTC as a means of payment. Its as if they are not updated on the wide spread acceptability level and confidence that s dawn on bitcoin. The earlier they realize this i think the better for them though this is just my own perspective on this issue.

I don't think it's shocking. There's not many merchants that do accept bitcoin currently but more and more will come around to the technology, especially when they realize the benefits. For now at least we know they're considering it.

Considering the growth of bitcoin companies like Bandcamp will certainly reconsider their mind set when they realize the true benefits that has to do with the acceptance of BTC.
1699  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the best Bitcoin ATM? on: August 26, 2014, 04:02:15 PM
Are you sure the state allow you to operate an ATM without license? Or have you gotten a license and registered as MSB with Fincen?
I spoke to the owner of one of the best ATM companies, and he says there's no regulations as of yet. He suggested registering as an MSB and with Fincen, but says it's only $300-400.

I already know I can do this in my state, so that's not an issue.

If all the legalities have been worked out its a welcomed move towards the development and enlightenment of BTC.
1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What´s the future of money? on: August 22, 2014, 10:51:06 AM
