1681  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Funtotry alt of williamj on: July 22, 2015, 09:34:42 AM
i dont think theres that much of a need for a mod/admin to confirm that, if badbear already tagged him as a probably alt, theres probable cause for him to think so. the skype id is just additional proof of this.
1682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: July 22, 2015, 08:44:27 AM
Hello from India,
i am new on this forum but i have been earning bitcoin from faucets over last year.
i have 0.022 BTC with me , i hear a lot of people saying to join campaign how can i do that , i have 0.022 BTC want to invest to get profit, please help me.

The safest would be something like HaoBTC, which pays interest on BTC that's deposited (and lets you withdraw it at any time -- interest is paid hourly). Eric is pretty active on these forums (he works for HaoBTC) as well.

they advertise 8% or something apr, which seems suspicious, but they have shown videos of their mining farms and recently purchased several thousand miners as well. i just dont understand why they offer such high interest rates on their banking system. what's the incentive?
1683  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: League of legends lvl 30 accounts! on: July 22, 2015, 01:34:53 AM
are these accounts cracked or farmed by bots? also you might want to consider changing that requirement to 500 activity instead of posts.

if you have any accounts for NA let me know, if they're not cracked I might want one.
1684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good and relatively safe dice strategy? on: July 22, 2015, 01:29:12 AM
for me i use 0.00000001 X3 bet gain and if lost add 60% and it work if you have a lucky dday

that's called martingale, and I would never call it safe. here's a fantastic strategy for you op, just stay off of dice sites.
1685  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TraderCal11 Warning on: July 22, 2015, 12:36:56 AM
Just posting here for reference that tradercal owes me $120 USD, I've asked for refund in bitcoins and he claims that it may take some time as for he is a "little dry" right now.  I have a picture of him holding up an ID and will release it if nothing beneficial happens in the next few days.

welcome back Smiley , and judging from tradercal11's posts regarding the issue, it doesn't sound like he intended for this to happen, so I think he deserves the benefit of doubt for the moment, but is good to know you have his identification just in case.
1686  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] Bitcoin-related Scam Websites on: July 21, 2015, 11:16:08 PM
you should consider adding c-cex.com to the list for running an ico scam: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1128880.0
1687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the best Bitcoin debit card? on: July 21, 2015, 10:37:36 PM
Any card that doesn't charge a giant fee for non-(US)dollar usages?

I think at least two or 3 do, but I can't find such information easily

dont think so, some of the fees of the bitc debit cards are comparable to that of some of the fees charged by major credit card companies for transactions as well, but the bitcoin debit card fees are slightly higher as there is a smaller userbase, and the companies do need some revenue from the services they offer.
1688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the best Bitcoin debit card? on: July 21, 2015, 10:02:46 PM
Now i will recommend every one a Bit-x card, because tgey remove the option of monthly fees .02 btc and monthly inactive fees .05. This is i think a great news.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006153.msg11930878#msg11930878

you should note that this is only for the first 10000 people that sign up for the card. but what i do like about the bit-x card is that their fees are all in terms of BTC, wheras xapo's are in fiat. just a nice little touch.

Do you believe that 10000 people will order this card at the moment? No i dint believe that in next few years that 10000 people will order that card.

there's no telling what will happen in the next few years in terms of bitcoin adoption and it becoming mainstream; its definitely possible for those 10000 cards to be claimed within the next few years if bitcoin starts taking off.
1689  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit (cloud)mining sites? on: July 21, 2015, 03:54:25 PM
So I bought some GHS on Bit-X. Does that mean that it will start mining or how does it work?
In de user guide I don't really find much info about the mining part.

bit-x is primarily an exchange, so there is no dedicated UI for mining, but once the GHs are in your balance, mining begins immediately and you will be rewarded your shared daily. nothing else to do.
1690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin - How am I going to pay? on: July 21, 2015, 03:49:53 PM
Which wallet should I use then, could you please recommend one? I want to make it as frictionless as possible.
MultiBit and Electrum both support opening Bitcoin links.

I wouldn't recommend MultiBit. I'll recommend Electrum for this

Why wouldn't you recommend MultiBit?
I am using it for a quiet a while already. And everything seems fine. Hadn't have any problems with it.

same with me, although i suspect its just a personal preference as to why he recommended against multibit, ive been using multibit as my hot wallet for some time now with very few issues, all of them being having to resync with the blockchain every now and then. also, the developer of multibit is quite active on the forum and is incredibly helpful in answering anyone's questions in the multibit subsection.
1691  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Double Spend on Pocket Dice on: July 21, 2015, 03:44:12 PM
If you want to accept unconfirmed transactions, do not accept them with 0 fee,

this exactly, requiring 1 conformation on 0 fee transactions would be a possible fix to this issue.

also, you guys are practically advertising that your site has a vulnerability, and have not taken the site down to fix the issue. people will try to abuse this, guaranteed. of course, i could be wrong and youve already patched this problem up, but if you havent, taking the site down for a bit would be a good idea. in fact, it would be a fantastic idea.
1692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you find customers who use Bitcoins? Where is would I advertise? on: July 21, 2015, 03:34:43 PM
I would say right here, on this forum, is the single best place to advertise any bitcoin related business. starting an ann thread in the services discussion section might be a good place to start, and there are plenty of ways to advertise here as well. theymos (the admin) runs an auction for advertising space on the forum weekly in the auctions section, and as you might imagine the traffic to those ads are extremely good.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1107077.0

theres the link to the auction that just closed, you can see traffic statictics in the op.
1693  Economy / Gambling / Re: Formal request on sport betting on: July 21, 2015, 03:12:15 PM
How about Japanese Sumo wrestling?   Grin

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/feb/02/japan-sumo-wrestling-match-fixing

At least we all know pro wrestling is rigged . . .
it's quite rare stuff, and i heard first time. if it's rigged, samurai tradition will lose its honor..
and Mongols still winning even tough they're from poor countries and fighting against unbearable pressures from Japanese nationalists.

i dont think sumo wrestling is rigged; 1 instance of it happening doesnt prove anything. rigging professional matches has happened in nearly every sport, and in the current day and age, rigging happens in esports as well from time to time. as for "samurai tradition," were not exactly living in the 13th century. but again, 1 instance of a rigged match happening does not mean the entire sport is a cesspool of fixed matches.

lets take a look at this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sox_Scandal

is this conclusive proof that baseball is a fake sport filled with matchfixing and deals behind closed doors? no.
1694  Economy / Lending / Re: loan 0.35 on: July 21, 2015, 02:58:43 PM
Loan Amount: 0.35
Reason: Private
Collateral: Antminer S1+eobot account
BTC Address: 1GHKVqVXaheNFiRLSAoyAdraK8ns3u6Jza
Term Length: 4 week
Repay: 0.4

will you cover shipping fees(sending and recieving) to escrow your antminer S1? if so we can negotiate about this loan. send me a PM
Normally taking physical things as collateral is time consuming and will incur a lot of expense!

in addition, if you so choose to accept the miner as collateral, the borrower may claim that you broke or tampered with the hardware in some way and that upon receiving the collateral back, the miner was no longer functional. too much of a hassle, not worth at all.
1695  Economy / Lending / Re: Magic Loans & Escrow on: July 21, 2015, 02:50:05 PM
Loan amount: 0.05 BTC

there is no message provided with the signature, so the message cannot be verified. but either way, signing a message from the address youre asking to have funds sent to doesnt prove ownership of the account. try signing from an address at least 2 months back.
1696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Make Money With Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2015, 02:00:29 PM
Thanks guys for your useful comments Smiley
I have a blog with good traffic, how can i earn money (bitcoin) from my blog?
Is there any CPM sites with bitcoin payment method?

if you want to accept advertisement banners and stuff like that that pays you in bitcoin i think the best option is adbit.co , bee-ads.com , coinadvert.net

all of them are seen a lot on bitcoin faucets. but the highest paying is google but it doesn't pay in bitcoin,.
Thanks.

no problem.

i also found this topic on how to create a faucet a while back. you can read the section about advertising . (Part 3 - Advertising)
it has good information about all those advertising networks and is more complete:

here is the link : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934536.0

a faucet is almost entirely dependant on ad money though, and without sufficient traffic, it is not profitable to run a faucet. balancing competitive micropayouts with advertising revenue, hosting fees, etc, doesnt equate to profitability without some standing reputation and popularity.
1697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Double Spend on Pocket Dice on: July 21, 2015, 01:49:40 PM
I never understood this doublespend thing but thats not very fair to exploit in on the other hand why your system does not need at least 1 confirmation before the coins can be used.

because people like to be able to play when they want to, which is usually as soon as possible. to prevent this, usually casinos require 1 confirmation before being allowed to withdraw, but clearly that didnt work here.
1698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Double Spend on Pocket Dice on: July 21, 2015, 01:38:14 PM
Im impressed by everyone here attacking the site and why the allow such things instead of attacking the user that is actually CHEATING this site and seems like he tried to cheat others yet he has no negative trust, not even by op?

that would be because there is no sure proof provided that the person who abused the deposit system on pocketdice and initiated the double spend attack is the yakuza699 here on the forum. until such evidence is provided, leaving negative feedback on the user's profile would be on the hasty side.

I'm thinking of investing on a dice site. which dice site do you guys think is the best for investment? I don't want to invest on just-dice because I'll need to change my BTC to Clam in order to invest there..

theres a fairly simple and easy way to convert your bitcoin into CLAMs actually, check out shapeshift.io, it lets you just send your coin there and theyll send the CLAMs of equivalent value to an address you specify. ive used it several times so far, and have never encountered a problem.
