1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar supporters destroy Bitcoin ATM in El Salvador on: September 16, 2021, 03:59:45 AM
Did it really have to come to this?
Maybe they should start calling them hardcore USD supporters. Government trying to make a change while others want the traditional way and stay being a caveman.
Well, they still have that option but being civilized should also stay. Some people love the change and that should be respected.

My bad imagination tells me they are paid and a higher amount will be given for every ATM destroyed. Like a bounty for Bitcoin ATM's.  Grin

Great to see Aaron Gordon get his 92 million dollar bag today. He has in my mind the greatest dunk ever in a dunk contest and was robbed of two dunk championships by terrible judges. He deserves the $ just for that in my opinion. It’s been a long grind for him getting all his skills in order, but he’s a threat from anywhere now and a great pickup for any team.
Great decision. Yes!
As a Denver Nuggets fan, this will really be helpful for Jokic. Paul Milsap is already out so he needs a power forward that could help him take defensive and offensive rebounds below the rim. Porter Jr. is still young and they should also consider him as a shooting guard where he is good at.
With the help of Jeff Green and JaMychal Green, yes 2 Greens  Grin they now have a solid painted area defense.
Campazzo can take care of the outside and be a pest to point guards.
1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is Best Alts or Defi Coin? on: September 15, 2021, 02:19:59 PM
I only know 2 DeFi's and those are both with "swap" on their names.
Performance base, those 2 swap names seem to conquer the NFT field and they are in the boom without NFT purchasers even realizing it.
If one project defaults to the DeFi swap platform as their means of purchasing NFT tokens then investors will just follow the instruction given.
Damn, I should've invested in those but I think it's too late for now. Could've been a large profit if I were a bit early.
1684  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin differs from gold on: September 15, 2021, 06:50:39 AM
Gold has been in existence before ages while Bitcoin got into existence 2009
I have been in existence before you so does that mean you have to die because I am older and more experienced?
Friendster and MySpace was the thing before as social media outlet now it's Facebook and Twitter.
What does it all mean?
Something new will be discovered but it doesn't mean we should forget our traditional way of keeping assets. We can support them both but one of them will always have the upper hand. Each investor will have to make their own choice of what they prefer. No one is forcing.
My wife prefers keeping gold accessories while I am into Bitcoin. We never had a problem about it.
1685  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sorare.... are you in it or do you find it to expensive on: September 15, 2021, 02:47:11 AM
I don't think this fits perfectly in the gambling discussion board (correct me if I'm wrong), more like it fits in the Altcoin Discussion since Sorare is a game based on Ethereum's blockchain technology and recently they partner with La Liga to provide NFTs to the players.

Yes, I thought I could compare it with Fanduel doing fantasy basketball and other sports but upon checking it's not. This is literally an NFT game.
Buy their cards, create a team. OP seems to misunderstand the difference between gambling and risking your money by investing.
I'd rather stick with real sports gambling than this. There may be some who like the idea but it doesn't really look interesting to me.
Good luck, OP. Hoping for the success of that project.
1686  Other / Archival / Re: [ETH tokens] Same Blockchain, Different Price on: September 14, 2021, 05:02:06 PM
It's difficult to understand but I get the idea.
They are not really called Ethereum tokens but ERC20 tokens. Done using the smart contract of Ethereum to create a new coin.
Different ticker which means will get a different value in the market.

About BAT vs (n) coin. The market will tell how they will value each coin which is mostly by demand.
BAT gained the demand needed because of its marketing strategy and the trust it planted with investors. While the (n) coin didn't do anything and just expecting too much because of the cryptocurrency hype.
1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 14, 2021, 01:44:22 PM
I'm hearing rumors that a team is close to making a deal for Ben Simmons.  I think it may be the Sacramento Kings, but that's just a guess based on the description of it being a small market team and Ben Simmons saying he wanted to play in California.  It would be terrible if the Kings had to give up Fox to get him, but it seems like Fox might want out and if that's the case then it would be good to get a guy in return who wants to be there.  I think in the next 2 weeks we'll be hearing an announcement of a trade.
If I am the 76ers management I'll take that deal with Fox. Damn, that kid has some skills already and a lot of room for improvement.
One more team on that rumors is Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal. Wait, Is Washington a small market team?
Cavaliers are also pursuing the deal and won't keep their eyes shut until the end of it.

It seems like there's a lot of offers already but Daryl Morey cannot find that sweet deal that will be rewarding for the 76ers short-term and long-term.
1688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 14, 2021, 07:13:09 AM
In any case, if someone is interested on the outright NBA champions here are the odds from sportsbet:

x19 for Denver Nuggets. Boo. I want more. Make them underdogs.  Grin
No doubt I will bet for them but teams right now are overpowered like Nets and Lakers.
Maybe they should put more with the odds considering the high risk.

Ben Simmons.

A “small-market team” has reportedly made an offer to end the Ben Simmons-Philadelphia trade stand-off, and holds “a lot of interest” in the three-time All-Star.

Daryl Morey. 76ers President of Basketball Operations
Quote
“You look at what Daryl Morey has done his whole career, he’s hunted stars. [James] Harden, [Dwight] Howard, Chris Paul, [Russell] Westbrook, he tried to trade for Harden again, he’s hunted stars, that’s what he wants, so that’s what he’s doing.
This guy is hunting for a better deal. He doesn't want to end up getting future stars (draft trades). He needs that 1 star now to be partnered with Embiid and bring the championship to the 76ers.
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 13, 2021, 08:24:08 AM
I'm not sure if the Lakers will focus on 3 point shooting, I guess with the current lineup, they will take advantage of their size and they will bring the ball inside where the big 3 can drive. I know they have 3 point shooters too but are they consistent enough, or can be trusted to produce a good percentage of shot?
Yes, they might become an inside attacking team.
Regarding the outside shooting, they have Melo, Lebron, and AD. Rondo is also doing pretty well with his outside shots so I think they can use them for spacing.
We might not see much of how effective it will be for their first few games but with adjustments, it might work.
On the other hand, Brooklyn Nets is more focused on outside shots, I guess that's also why a hype is happening on what if both teams meet, who will win.
I am kind of excited too.

1690  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 12, 2021, 06:29:53 AM
Soon the world could be divided into those who are vaccinated and those who are not, and perhaps those who are not vaccinated will have to be publicly marked - it reminds me a bit of the segregation carried out by the Nazis against Jews, or the black population by whites in the US.
First of all, thank you Lucius for that great input.
I am not against vaccination but I am against those governments that will try to harm their countrymen's emotions just because they are not yet vaccinated and will put ground into where they could be/go for that reason.
1. Did they really reach every human being living in their country?
2. Are vaccines at 95-100% without side effects long-term. Because I still see people having doubts about it because family relatives and friends experience that causes death.
You only see this kind of act in movies and tv series, separating the infected zombie from the non-infected.  Grin
Too much Netflix is hurting our leaders' decision-making.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: September 12, 2021, 04:10:54 AM
1. Is this a good time to build crypto portfolio?
Always have and always will be.
It's still in its early stage in my opinion. There's so much room for improvement and adoption is just starting. It may look slow but the important thing is, its there.
2. Do you really think that bear market will be a dipping as 2018?
No, I don't think so. News about cryptocurrencies had been coming out one after another and with investors' numbers going up I don't think the value of top cryptocurrencies will decline just like what happened in 2017-2018. Although, you should always be ready for unexpected events.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 12, 2021, 02:46:11 AM
I don't know maybe another guard in case either Westbrook or Rondo will get injured.
They had been chasing veterans and I am worried this may become their weakness.
I like how they just ended up trading Marc Gasol and then bought out by the Grizzlies but the Lakers also need young cores to make up for speed.
Yes, they have Westbrook and Rondo but it is WB alone who could still play 40+ minutes while I doubt Rondo's capability to play longer.
They need guards who focus on defense if they think their offensive power is enough.
1693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2022? on: September 11, 2021, 11:39:10 AM
December is such a silly month, it's where high volatility may happen again.
So it's not easy to have a good kind of prediction when it comes to end-year movements.
My bottom price though is just $40k, I don't really want to see Bitcoin going below that number.
The highest will be $60k as days ago we saw it could reach levels like $52k with just a short amount of time.
At the start of 2022, I really want to see it make a new bottom at $50k because of the recent news where Bitcoin is on the spotlight.

1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 11, 2021, 06:54:06 AM
^
Guys talking about Marc Gasol. He will be waived after the trade to Grizzlies.
Reports say he agreed with the buyout and I think he will just play in Spain for his remaining strength as a veteran.
It is a sad reality for us NBA fans but he will be near his family now and I think he will prefer it that way.

The Lakers made a good cap space after doing the trade and so does the Grizzlies after the buyout. So the question is, who are their targets for making that move?

1695  Economy / Economics / Re: Two basic things that can give you an advantage on: September 11, 2021, 04:05:59 AM
The top 2 will always recover, no doubt.
I think those who are in panic are new guys and it's just normal. Even if you told them to be calm in this type of situation they won't.
It's the first reaction of someone who put his money in and thinking it would be profitable.
It actually sucks to be in that position and that's why the basic thing is you should learn first and read some experiences from veterans.
That way you can be ready and have an idea of what is going to happen avoiding regrets of joining the dump.
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Wants Your Opinion on: September 10, 2021, 12:45:03 PM
how is this called cz want to hear our opinion? CZ only made a tweet that was true and didn't ask us to think about it.
but what's more interesting is whether it's just elsavador or will more countries adopt maybe you mean that.
this depends on the policy of the country and the hope is that if the elsavador policy is successful it is not impossible for other countries to follow in his footsteps.
Indeed, there is no question mark in it. He doesn't need an opinion but I think OP does. Maybe he is having a hard time understanding the hidden content of the tweet.
IMO, adoption had been the hardest part when it comes to Bitcoin and as soon as one pops out it becomes the main event.
It could become the first step into Bitcoin being one of the options to transact if ever this will be a success. History will be made and written and who knows if other countries will follow.
1697  Economy / Economics / Re: Ways to avoid being scammed!!! on: September 10, 2021, 07:09:59 AM
I also have my own ways to avoid these scammers.
1. Stop pressing links. If you don't know where the link will take you then just read it and google it. You might find some clues if it will just direct you to a scam site.
2. E-mails, telegram, discord, or whatever chat and contact platforms, avoid deep conversations especially when you are talking about accounts and profile information. Don't give him any clue about yourself. Stay anonymous as much as possible.
3. Stay lowkey, don't boast what you have. Be rich in silence.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 10, 2021, 02:43:16 AM
I think what his saying is that if by chance Ben is still in the Sixers uniform this season, he may want to sit it out and doesn't want to play. Or if he plays, we won't see him pushing himself 100% as he had already a bad relationships with the management and players as well. I remember reading news that he is not answering any calls from the players including Joel. So I interpret it as animosity between Ben and his team mates already and it will not result to a good chemistry and locker room huddle.
You're probably right. As you mentioned before, Ben has begun to ignore team management and teammates during the offseason, and he is going to miss the upcoming training camp. Also, I heard that he was offended by Doc Rivers. So Simmons shows by his actions that he is not interested in the 76ers, and there is no doubt that the team chemistry might be disrupted if Simmons stays with the 76ers.
It was the game against the Hawks that heightened Ben's emotion.
They didn't give him a chance to redeem himself and just benched him after he missed free throws. After they lose, it's like everything is pinned on him because of those missed shots then the shooting skills issue was unearthed again.

76ers now want gold in exchange for silver (Ben). They won't trade him unless it will be beneficial for them in a wider range. They are getting greedy.
Ben should also stop acting like a kid. Business is business and his emotion should be set aside for now while waiting for a better opportunity.
There's a contract and he cannot get away from it.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC Want's Your Opinion? on: September 10, 2021, 01:14:15 AM
I will choose the 150 ETH and use that to plan on kidnapping him during dinner with somebody else.  Grin
But seriously, going to dinner with Vitalik will mean nothing if you don't have the right questions for him.
You need to be prepared and also the knowledge about cryptocurrencies at a high level.
It will be just a waste of both your time just sitting there and eating in pure silence. You need to be almost on the same level as him to have a healthy conversation.
1700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you scared? on: September 09, 2021, 05:18:55 PM
Are you scared? Is there any hope for the future?
If you will be scared about these facts and doubt the future of Bitcoin then there is no place for you here.
Not trying to be hard on anyone but it's just stating the truth. Most probably you will end up losing more if you will keep on feeling the pressure and the panic whenever such movements happen.
First, Bitcoin is volatile. Before you even have the thought to buy it you should have researched for the risk included in it.
I'll probably be scared when it goes $200. Scared that I will be late to buy it and others will outrun me.  Cheesy
