16821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: December 07, 2017, 02:10:13 AM
Bitcoin can't act as a mode of payment right now, period. The fee (up to $30 per transaction) makes it impossible to conduct small and medium sized transactions. Only large-sized transactions in excess of $3,000 are viable with Bitcoin. Another problem is its volatility. Merchants will refuse to affect Bitcoin, as its exchange rates are too volatile.
16822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do Bitcoin will reach $15,000 before 2017 ends? on: December 07, 2017, 02:07:21 AM
Quite possible, because there is no major resistance level at $15,000 (in some of the Korean and Japanese exchanges, the exchange rates are already over $17,000 per coin). The next major resistance level is going to be at either $20,000 or $25,000. It is going to take at least a few months for Bitcoin bulls to breach the resistance at 20-25K.
16823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2017, 02:04:57 AM
I am newbie on bitcoin, recently introduced with the community. I have seen a lot of positive feedback about bitcoin investment. I am not interested do business or trade on market. I want to used it for long term investment only. Some people suggested me anytime is good for invest on bitcoin but I want to do it wisely. If you have some idea of the market and analysis kindly do it for me.

Too bad for this guy. He made a post on 25th October and then vanished from the scene. Back then, the exchange rates were going at $5,500 per coin. They have risen by almost three-fold now. This is a lesson for all the noobs and Bitcoin critics. If you want good returns, then don't waste any of your time and purchase your coins as quickly as possible.
16824  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: December 07, 2017, 01:58:42 AM
Once again, the purpose of gold is different from that of Bitcoin. Gold is not meant to increase our investments or to give good returns. It is a medium to store our wealth and protect it from depreciation. But Bitcoin is an investment asset which may or may not give good returns at regular intervals. One more difference is that Bitcoin is suitable for all types of investors, while gold is preferable to the more well off.
16825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits $14,000! on: December 07, 2017, 01:53:43 AM
Weird that there are almost none of any significant corrections!

Corrections are not happening because no one is ready to sell their coins, as everyone is waiting for the $100,000 per coin mark. Once we reach $20K or $25K, we may see dumping by large holders. But until then, it will be smooth sailing for Bitcoin. Even at $15K per coin, there is no major resistance. My guess is that 20K may be achieved during the next few weeks.
16826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin so expensive? on: December 06, 2017, 04:03:36 AM
Compared to what? Bitcoin is much less expensive when compared to the United States Dollar. The total value of the USD banknotes and coins in active circulation is around $2 trillion, while the market cap of Bitcoin is only around $200 billion. Or you can compare it with gold. The total market cap of gold is around $7 trillion.
16827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: December 06, 2017, 04:01:21 AM
I don't think so. The banknotes will be there forever. When the credit cards (plastic money) came out, people were saying the same thing. They were claiming that the banknotes will become extinct in a matter of few years. But nothing happened. And I don't think that digital money will be able to do what plastic money failed at.
16828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: December 06, 2017, 03:58:59 AM
From what I have read, super-computers will be able to crack the Bitcoin private keys in about 10 years from now. So I would say that the maximum lifespan of Bitcoin is up to 2027. But here is no guarantee in this. The devs can do some hard forking to prevent the private keys from getting cracked.
16829  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is every country really corrupt? on: December 06, 2017, 03:39:34 AM
yes..because that is part of a norm.

Nope. Corruption is not accepted as a norm in most of the world nations. For third world nations such as India and Pakistan, the situation may be different. The people are used to paying bribes and normally they don't complain as long as the demands are "reasonable". But those living in the EU and North America are much more averse to paying bribes.
16830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your opinion on Buddhism???? on: December 06, 2017, 03:37:40 AM
Buddhism is the most peace-loving religion. It is like a philosophy. Very wise!

Muslims consider their religion as the "religion of peace". But if you ask me, then I would say that the real religion of peace is Buddhism. The other eastern religions such as Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Shintoism are also very peaceful religions. They never exterminate someone for refusing to believe in their religion.
16831  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: December 06, 2017, 03:35:20 AM
This is one of the steps that must be taken, but the step may be more suitable to be discussed in the realm of government because the forest and oil issues are regulated in the government regulations of each country, so if we want to reduce the consumption of wood and oil then there must be regulation from the state government to create rules related to it. I hope that the ideas that have been poured in this topic can be applied by governments in their respective countries to save the world.

I agree that it is the duty of the government to ban such furniture. But we can also contribute ourselves. Whenever we buy furniture, we should make sure that the wood used in that is not illegally logged from the tropical rain forests. And certain countries refuse to take any actions against deforestation (Brazil, Indonesia.etc). Such nations should be boycotted for tourism purposes.
16832  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: December 06, 2017, 02:24:06 AM
Modern humans eventually killed the Neanderthals.  Modern humans didn't go and kill at the gorillas and monkeys.

Not sure about that. Obviously there were some tensions between Neanderthals and humans, but the vast majority of the Neanderthals perished as a result of non-violent causes. Violence was common, and it was present between various groups of humans as well. But I am saying that the Neanderthals could not adjust to the changing climate and that may be the reason why they vanished.
16833  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to solve world hunger ? on: December 06, 2017, 02:20:14 AM
to solve world hunger the government should focus on agriculture industry, government should help people who works in the farm, give the necessary benefits for those people who worked hard in the farm, if we produce more foods this could resolves the world hunger, develop more agriculture products than modernization, modernization is good but don't forget the land for planting rice and other root crops to produce foods, and create job for the unemployed. by this means we could resolves the world hunger.
There is more than enough food to feed the whole planet several times over. The problem is that poor people don't earn anything to buy food. And giving them food for free will cause problems in the long run, such as overpopulation and a lazy population that nags for handouts (see US).

You are absolutely spot on. We can't provide them free food, as they will increase the size of their family in order to receive more food rations. This will trigger a chain reaction. There will be more hungry people and the government agencies and the NGOs will not be able to cope with the problem. A large part of the tax money will be wasted through this route.
16834  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslims refugees in Europe on: December 06, 2017, 02:15:07 AM
Hybrid war in action. Why conduct military operations to seize land. It is enough to flood Europe with refugees and it will soon become an Islamic state.

This is exactly what they did in Bosnia, Kosovo and countless other countries. Kosovo had a Christian majority until a few hundred years ago, before the Muslims began their demographic Jihad. The same with Bosnia as well. Before the Bosnian War, the Muslims were around 40% of the population. Now they are around 55% of the population. Soon they will be 90%.
16835  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is Putin? on: December 06, 2017, 02:12:58 AM
Putin is something like Adolf Hitler in 2017. The most influential person all over the world. Leader of Russia and "new USSR"

It is not Putin but Trump who is acting like Adolf Shitler. Hitler started the WW2 in 1939, when he invaded Poland. Donald Trump will start the WW3 in a few years time, when he invades North Korea. Both looks like birds of the same feather. And the irony is that the Americans selected him, just because he looked less war crazy when compared to Hillary.
16836  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The taboo of child marriages. on: December 06, 2017, 02:10:36 AM
In the Caucasian countries, too, there is practically the same practice. Girls hardly finish school and immediately marry. And then there is a succession of children. And complete dependence.  Sad

It is still OK, and better than child kidnapping. In the mountain republics (Chechenya, Daghestan, Ingushetia.etc) and Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan.etc) they are still having the practice of bride kidnapping. And most of the time they kidnap brides who are below the legal age. The girl is forced to live with her captor for the rest of her life.
16837  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will the world be like in 100 years on: December 06, 2017, 02:07:41 AM
Apparently scientists are fairly confident that humans can easily live to 140 years of age. So who knows. If you stay active and healthy in old age you might extend your life significantly and actually live in 100 years (unless you're already >50).

There is no hard limit to it. After 20 or 30 years, the scientists will say that the maximum possible lifespan for humans is 200 years. This is not a hard coded number and it can change. And also, some of the doctors are performing head transplants now. If that happens, then humans may be able to live for more than 300 or 400 years. Just need to change the torso every 60 or 70 years.
16838  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: December 06, 2017, 02:01:14 AM
Corruption and electricity

It is quite difficult to resolve the first issue, but the second one can be solved through the construction of additional power plants and upgrading the power grid. Nuclear energy should also be seriously considered. Many of the developing nations are now constructing nuclear power plants. For example, South Africa is constructing one, with help from Russia.
16839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: December 06, 2017, 01:57:58 AM
You should distinguish between light ones, like weed, and heavy ones. Light ones it is crazy to forbid them.

Finally some sane voice in this thread. Thank you! It is just ridiculous to criminalize the consumption of marijuana, when the sales of tobacco are not prohibited. And if you analyze the side effects, then you can easily find out that tobacco is much more harmful to the human body when compared to marijuana or other types of soft drugs.
16840  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rape on: December 06, 2017, 01:55:30 AM
Yes. I think I will not be able to control myself when I see a naked woman  Undecided

In that case, what you will do when you visit the Xingu Park in Brazil? The natives there are almost nude. They have lived like that for the past many centuries and their lives have changed little since the European invasion starting from the 16th century. And they are not the only group of people who are living nude. There are others such as a few tribes in New Guinea and Africa.
