Bob Dylan was the first white man to use the word "nigger" in a folk rock song in the 21st century

Two years later after the supposed robbery and murders of which Hurricane was accused, this...

The Times [Were] a-Changin'!

Gulp! I got first dibs on this being BD's next single title.

That was the controversial first interracial kiss that was aired on live television.

For the really old conservatives

"Come mothers and fathers, throughout the land
Don't criticize what you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
So get outta the new one if you can't lend a hand,
The times, they are a changin'!"

Don't worry about Ebola spreading in Dallas. The Cowboys have shown us that people in Dallas can't catch anything.

I don't know but please go somewhere where there is no internet connection so you can't create any more of these stupid threads. Enjoy your trip. See you in a year.

Thank you, cruising in the Bahamas using my waterproof Xperia™ Z2

Seriously, what's the rush? It's not like I'm paying for emergency services (which by the way, are not feasible to pay for using Bitcoin and is therefore the reason Bitcoin can never replace fiat)
1710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police officer JUST SHOT in Ferguson!! on: September 30, 2014, 11:22:51 AM
The anger over the police shooting in Ferguson is totally justified.

Everyday cops kill innocent people for the most retarded of reasons in America and no one is ever held responsible for anything.

Multiple eyewitnesses said Mike Brown had his hands up and he said "Don't shoot" right before they killed him. That is murder.

Also, another thing they haven't mentioned in the media. A big reason new riots have started up in Ferguson lately is because someone torched the Mike Brown memorial that was in the street.

Yep that's right, in the middle of the night someone poured gas on the mike brown memorial and torched it.

Like that's not gonna piss some people off.

No it is not justified.  They are destroying their own city because of a black kid who robbed a store (which was also burned down "in protest") decided to get in a physical altercation with the officer.  I've read through tonnes of reports from both arguments, and as far as I'm concerned, the kids got in a fight with the cop. With the way things work these days in the USA, that's likely going to get you shot.

Now the report I read was that a candle was knocked over and it caught the memorial on fire.  Even if it did happen the way you say, what justification is it to shoot at officers and wreck the city even further?

These protesters are acting like animals!

Rioting is justified when the Cops get away with killing your children on a daily basis. Sure, some of the rioters were just looking to make some $$ but at the same time the anger is completely justified.

America needs some major protests, we're all far too complacent. Well I for one support rioting when the cops kill your fucking family.

It's too late, we should have protested when they were militarizing the police with riot gear

It's $0.04 right now, but when Bitcoin is worth 100k, the transaction fee would be worth $4,000

What are some good vacation ideas (for a year or so) to spend some time overseas while Bitcoin Core reindexes blocks?

I was thinking of flying to Switzerland. Thoughts?

Especially if you live in Europe - typical prison in Europe (especially in Norway / Sweden) is like a gated country golf club compared to American prison.

Norwegian prisons have free Wifi and luxury mattresses

Videos games, buffet food, weekend passes (meaning you can go to town), et cetera.
They even have a luxurious penal colony on an island where there are no guards, you can chop wood, fish, et cetera.

Shit, even I don't have that privilege, and I'm supposed to be part of the Land of the Free!

Just ask the people they've beheaded recently.

Hard to ask headless people anything, unless you're interviewing a Fox host

I recently had a brain tumor removed and I had my right side Balance hearing mechanics removed, I am applying for disability until i recover.

Filling out the form I came across the question "Do you own any bitcoin or cryptocurrency"

Comments?

Why don't you create a brainwallet, and send the funds into that wallet. Then archive your old address.

Brilliant plan

Being sarcastic?  Huh

No, I'm being honest

I pay zero fee TXs all the time and they get confirms.
The Constitution only applies to the government.
Nobody is armed forcing you to pay TX fees.
True, but paying at least a  small txn fee helps the protocol.

How? The protocol says I don't have to pay a fee for my aged coin TXNs to be relayed.

Try paying a satoshi to one of your alternative wallets with a 0.00000000 BTC fee
There is no legit reason why you would want to do this. Sending this kind of TX takes up other people's resources while you are not engaging any kind of commerce.

Even the laxo trade spam TXs are paying huge amounts of TX fees to the tune of ~.048 on some of them.

If you want to use bitcoin and not pay any TX fees then you can engage in off-chain transactions, although you would need to trust your money to be held by some other third party

That really makes sense
