1701  Other / Meta / Unban request for "lovesmayfamilis" @theymos please take a look on: May 14, 2019, 09:25:43 PM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Personally i feel really bad when i found "lovesmayfamilis" ban thread. It has been almost 5 days her account got banned and i haven't seen any response from from our forum admin. personally I want to request our admin theymos to unban "lovesmayfamilis" I have created this thread because i believe she was a good contributor of this forum and specially worked very hard to detect scammers. As far as i know admin confirmed in the past that if anyone feel that someone should be unban then he/she can create a thread with exact reason. That is the main reason why i have created this thread.

If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

Why i think good for the forum as a whole ?

First thing is that she has exposed 79 scam. Yeah i agree that she has made mistakes in her past but in comparison with her contribution her mistakes is smaller in my humble opinion. Although i am not a well reputed member but  I have seen that she has a real caring mind for this community user. I think she deserve a second chance . I hope admin will reconsider her banning issue for the welfare of bitcointalk community. I will not be surprised if admin give her temporary ban or signature ban instead of perma ban.

Finally i believe that we need a user like her who is ready to help our community without any return and we really don't want to lose her forever.
1702  Other / Meta / Re: Vod is abusing his merit source position to give 50 merit to his supporters on: May 14, 2019, 08:17:20 PM
Honestly vod isn't giving merit for supporting himself i think. It doesn't matter if you feel that someones post worthy of having 50 merits or more. Because merits are for encouraging someone for quality works not for store. If you have plenty of merits then its not unfair to encourage someone by giving him as a reward which will obviously boost up his future contribution on forum.

Isn't it better to give it Someone rather than dry it?  If a merit source haven't got enough time to spend his monthly allocation then if he send this to a user who will share it with others there's nothing wrong IMO. Because recipient will spend it on forum not in the moon.

1703  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ethereum-tech.com - SCAM PROJECT -WP plagiarism on: May 14, 2019, 07:39:51 PM

No, it is not evident that it is a scam. If you point out just one paragraph, definitely it is not enough evidence.
You started this scam accusation and it is your obligation to point out enough sources to accuse of scam. Calling a project scam without enough evidence will bring bad reputation for this forum. Dont expect readers of this forum to do the work for you - it is your accusation - finish what you started - search for more evidence, point out more plagiarized pages and content. We are not defending this project. But the fact that 1 paragraph was copied from a scam project doesnt mean the project is a scam. 1 paragraph can be easly fixed/re-written.

Yeah I think its our responsibility to catch those project which are completely scam and have enough evidence against them. Forum is the place for every single crypto lover, entrepreneur and user who have rights to learn and earn from here in a proper way. If any real crypto project lose their reputation or market value because of our slight mistakes then obviously its unrecoverable. So its really important to investigate properly before opening a scam accusation thread against any project. we should keep it on our mind that we are not against real ICOs but we are against real scammers.
1704  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Monero White - team photos from dating sites on: May 14, 2019, 07:06:00 PM

I have some methods.

Yeah that's the best weapon you got which will put you one step forward than those scammers. Use your method properly and hope to see more successful works from you. One thing looks really funny to me that scammers are not spending money for photo editing and starting to use pictures from dating sites.
1705  Economy / Reputation / Re: S_Therapist = mdayonliner on: May 14, 2019, 06:47:25 PM

Yes I have seen people in fiverr offering all kind of shady services for bitcointalk from merit giving, post writing, improving your writing style and a lot of this shit for a really low amount of money.
Its not a new thing and its simple that those guys are using his kind of marketplace for selling account, merit or maybe positive trust too. Its a sign that they are unable to commit their cheap activities on our forum because of existing strict rules. I have seen so many seller on fiverr marketplace like this who are offering these kinda services and good news is that very limited number of people are interested on their Gig.

Last year, I noticed someone who copied my question / advice from a Telegram shitcoin ICO group to the ANN of the project on Bitcointalk.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Unfortunately, I told him on Telegram to stop such plagiarizing before I had the possibility to archive his plagiarized copy-paste and he deleted it just a few secons before I could archive it...
But the account is banned now, I expect he did that quite more than one time.  Cheesy Cheesy

It's just amazing, how lazy they are. The account was Hero Member btw.
He didn't bother about his own account and also didn't  give you the chance for archive. Cheesy. Finally he got what he deserve and its because fraudulent activators can't put them far from habitual works.
1706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 14, 2019, 06:37:23 PM
Perhaps I use quote of article from forum out side with ordinal link occasionally just for references. However, it would be better option review post history in case if there is any copy paste.

Using another quote or research something for making a reply is a preparation component and its always accepted because no one isn't master in every section. you can obviously use this way for your knowledge development and providing quality reply's. Yeah if a user feel it necessary to review his post history than it can save him obviously.

As a newbie, we are obliged to read the rules to diligently follow it, so no excuses.

Yeah agree with your thinking and it's a responsibility for any forum user to obey forum rules and encourage others to do same.
1707  Other / Meta / Re: The Ban is not the same for everyone on: May 14, 2019, 06:25:36 PM

This user is doing the same: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2593507;sa=showPosts

And most of them are off-topic as the OPs of the post are asking for a different payment mode. These reports too are marked "unhandled".
As we all know that our community is too big and moderating a complete section isn't an easy task. Sometimes it can take some little more time than our expectation. I have seen this users posting activity and i hope necessary actions will be taken by a mod soon. you have done the report which was your responsibility i think and no let it on moderators hand for final action.
1708  Other / Meta / Re: The invite and account section should be locked for newbies on: May 12, 2019, 08:57:21 PM
Account buy-sell issues has been a real concern for our community and current actions against this kind of activators is enough strict IMO. I hope if we continue our job strictly to stop them then obviously it will discourage them from doing this.

After observing the final result of account buy-sell issues upcoming users will be  careful enough which will keeo tgem far from it too. So changing rules isn't going to be a proper solution where its better to let newbies know that account sell or buy is strictly prohibited here.
1709  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Turbominebtcminer - SCAM on: May 12, 2019, 03:10:16 PM
I think its a good warning for our community users to stay away from this. In recent time its really hard to detect malware included sites where website visitors could put their step on this kinda trap easily. In one words you can say like that these websites are using as  "hackers entrance". You have found one maybe another bunch of websites are still waiting to attack new visitors by their cheap shady weapon.

Its pretty much easier to understand that why didn't they listed on forum yet.
1710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's time for us to return to being great traders ...! on: May 12, 2019, 04:45:35 AM
Bitcoin current price rise up is obviously a good sign for worldwide crypto trader. I hope  we are going to get back crypto golden time very soon. Bitcoin price is enough stable now and surely its s proper time to make some money by trading. Maybe a lot of old traders are  getting prepared for upcoming days. Its time to recover losses now. Although its better to apply own skill and knowledges for better earning.
1711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] Coinbase fake support's number on: May 12, 2019, 04:19:59 AM
Is it can be random message that user don't have account there also receiving the messages. ( Scammers are putting wild guess.)

Most likely , Data is sold by coinbase themselves ( as they acknowledged to selling the data.) .Look like in further reselling that list now gone to the scammers.
We can't say surely like that coinbase sold their users database. Coinbase is a well reputated wallet and i don't  think they need to earn  moneyby selling their users data to scammers. Most probably hackers could make a entry to their database for stealing users information or that user shared his account info on some fake earning sites.

Database hacking isn't a rare thing nowadays. Hackers are targeting well reputated websites or companies database to get money by blackmailing the authority
1712  Economy / Reputation / Re: Am I a friend or foe of Bitcoin? on: May 12, 2019, 04:05:26 AM
As a person I always like them who are straight-forward in their activities and I observed it in you. You have a lot of contribution for the community and you obvoiusly deserve better Vod. I don't know why you think people fear you for what you are doing against scammers, spammers & fraudulent activators. This isn't fear man its respect. Yeah obviously scammers should fear someone atleast.

I don't bother who think positive or negative about me because one thing always punch me on mind that i am trying my best to help others. For that reason maybe on someone's eye I am "hero" or some others take me as a "villain". If scammers and fraudulent activators hate me then let them hate and i am ready to accept it.
1713  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trendercoin - Plagiarized whitepaper on: May 12, 2019, 03:41:14 AM
Is it mandatory to lock the thread.
How can I lock the thread.
Thats really a poor question man. I don't know why did someone select someone as a manager for their projects where he/she don't know the exact use of lock thread option. Its obviously not a good sign of a well manager.

Personally i think your activity isn't so charming because already ICOEthics revealed the whitepaper plagiarism issue with one and another one also discovered. I have doubt that you are not working as a manager for any project but maybe you are trying to promote your own projects.
1714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 11, 2019, 09:02:09 PM
I strongly believe the reporter of those recent plagiarism cases is a bot, I just read LoyceV thread and I'm seeing 300-400 banned users daily in the last two days it can't be a human maybe that's why quality contributors are getting punished for their past mistakes. Just like I did some time ago, I believe if a user is putting in some effort in regards to contributing positively to the forum and you come across any of his post that can implicate him/her for plagiarism the noble thing to do is call his attention to correct it but when the user doesn't change then you can alert moderators through reporting.

OP you should include this thread; TIPS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM so new members can benefits too.

Thanks for providing the thread link mate. Thread has been updated with the link which will surely help our community users to avoid plagiarism IMO.
1715  Other / Beginners & Help / Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 11, 2019, 07:26:14 PM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Currently in meta section i have seen a lot of ban appeal thread. So many members including legendary, DT accounts are getting ban due plagiarism issues. You can find from LoyceV's thread how and why so many accounts have got banned recently.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5141807.0

Unfortunately some best contributors are also getting banned nowadays. Maybe someone actively reporting for plagiarism post or created a strong bot for reporting plagiarism I think thats the reason why people are randomly getting banne. As an example you can read this Ban Appeal . Basically their plagiarism issues was a matter of their past mistakes. In my opinion at the beginning of their forum journey they have made those mistakes and maybe they didn't know about the rules at that time. For why they haven't bother to delete their posts.

I opened this thread to let them knows who haven't got enough knowledge about plagiarism. I will friendly suggest them to review their post history and delete the post if there is any copy - paste from others. You can save your account from plagiarism related ban by following this step. Feel free to visit this thread link for getting proper tips to avoid plagiarism TIPS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

Honestly we don't want to lose a single good quality poster or contributor of the forum for this kind of plagiarism issues. I believe its better to erase our old mistakes and also should be careful in future to avoid plagiarism strictly.

Special Note: Don't forget that forum rules is same for everyone.
1716  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 member lovesmayfamilis BAN on: May 11, 2019, 06:49:28 PM
Honestly I have seen so many post from you where you revealed many plagiarism issues but its really surprising for me that you have done the same mistake in past. Feeling really sad after seeing this thread. We have worked together on scam accusation section to keep our forum safer from fraudulent activators.

I hope our forum admin will reconsider your case because I believe your previous work for forum was really helpful for the community and it deserve a second chance.
1717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trendercoin - Plagiarized whitepaper on: May 11, 2019, 06:35:28 PM
These guys have made a full copy paste from others. What a cheap scam idea man. I think they haven't bother to put a single word from their own. Another good work OP. Its really concerning that scammers are targeting crypto projects to make money easily.
1718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] Coinbase fake support's number on: May 11, 2019, 03:03:31 AM

I do not know what is the point of this call. Will someone answer me saying: "Send your private key?" I will help you.
The story will be its concept if there is a phishing link or something like that.

In many cases those scammers ask for account details to solve any issue from their end. I have faced this kind of situation with my mobile banking system. They call me from a different number and acting as a real authority. After a little talk they ask me to provide my mobile banking secret pin number to update my account...I just answered them "Hey baby I am a scam catcher, you are in the wrong place, Lets gossip man" Cheesy. I think this fake coinbase scammers are trying something like this.
1719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term plan for investment. on: May 11, 2019, 02:50:49 AM
Personally I have my mindset to hold bitcoin as much as possible for long term investment. Its the first priority for long term plan and as a second choice I always try to find best crypto projects with strong background. In many cases those can give us a good return. I have Eth, Ltc, Xrp, doge on that list.

1720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Think Profitably - a Trader’s Mindset on: May 11, 2019, 02:44:05 AM
Winner have got couple of things such as;

# Patience
# Updated knowledges about multiple projects
# Trading skill
# strong mind setup

In many cases losers have some of these things but the difference is that he can't apply all in a proper way.  Kiss
