Choosing cryptocurrency as the way to get paid is certainly a good news for all of us especially if we are talking here of famous people like sports and entertainment figures. And since these people can easily get the attention of the mainstream media, what they are doing can always be mentioned in the news. I am sure that they are looking on Bitcoin and other cryptos to be a good investment into the future and they are convinced that it got real, lucrative value so they are holding them for the next many years...rather than just saving their money in form of the usual fiat in banks which can be eaten in value by the ongoing inflation affecting the USA economy right now.

We are expecting that soon Ethereum can eventually solve its biggest challenge yet...to eventually get back to normal the gas fees we are forced to take with no question ask. Once this can happen then there is a big possibility of another big boom of projects which are right now being attracted to BSC. Now, as to Metaverse project, I agree that we still have to get to see real ones but definitely this going to be big in 2022 and beyond...and will be so even without Facebook or Meta blocking our view.

No doubt there are many scam projects using the BSC network and it can because of the easy access plus BSC has become the preferred choice of many people because of the more acceptable transaction fees involved...and since there are now many people who are into BSC and holding BNB these people have become the target of scams and frauds. We also have to remember that the same thing happened before in Ethereum especially in 2017 when ICOs came into the scene only many of them to just fly away and evaporate.

This is going to be an interesting move to accept Bitcoin for this supermarket chain operator and one of the things that they are doing well is offering that discount of 20%. The point here is that for people to be using their BTC to purchase everyday items there must be an incentive for them to do so, otherwise many people can find hodling for speculation to be more attractive. Hope we can get back to this Elektra supermarket and see how much business they did with the use of Bitcoin because if this can be successful then other merchants can be following the same move.

I also don't agree that Bitcoin should be classified as a private cryptocurrency - that category belongs to Monero and similar coins. However, we know that many of our government officials do not have a general understanding with this industry so they might come up with a different definition of their own with the intent to regulate something they still have to know a lot. India is such a big market for cryptocurrency and there is no denying that a growing number of people is interested with it...this could have been the right replacement with what we lost in China. Hopefully, in 2022, India can come up finally with acceptable regulatory law for the industry.

I think I fully get the main point you are driving at. Imagine paying for a cup of coffee in a coffee shop and you have to wait for at least 10 minutes before you can go out because the payment has not yet been confirmed - in this scenario it could really be a big hassle. However, it might be a little different if we are paying online - that 10 minutes wait can be tolerable that is assuming that you are doing things online at home maybe. Now, I also understand that we already have Lightning Network that we can use and being utilized by merchants who are accepting Bitcoin. There will always be solutions to different problems as long as there can be a demand for it - or there can be money that can be made.

Facebook has been declining for several years now. Zuck and his company faced enquiries into their shady, unethical practices and employees were becoming whistleblowers due to the level of corrupt practices.
Zuck needed some idea to divert. So he did what most of the 20th centuries "great minds" are good at doing. Stole an idea. Right from crypto's experiments with metaverse and calling it his own.
This is just a desperate band-aid to pivot facebook. Because the name "facebook" had become synonymous with unethical, evil-mastermind practices. So now its "meta" and Zuck and his marketing team hopes that people will slowly forget Facebook. In short, there is nom grand vision behind this step. Its just a silly diversion.
As a man always searching for ideas that can make Facebook more profitable and of course to plug the leak of decline, he must have found out the huge potential of Metaverse and before anyone can really make a claim of it he repurposed and repackaged Facebook to be the embodiment of the Metaverse thing...but of course we in the world of cryptocurrency is not buying. We know the truth and we know that Mark Zuckerberg is an outsider in this industry...he can claim all he wanted just like Craig Wright but he can never fool us here! |

Cointelegraph is garbage, don't use it as your source for news. Here's a better report. Turkey is not adopting Bitcoin like El Salvador did, it's not even close. They actually already banned its use as a currency, and the upcoming law just increases regulations to prevent exit scams by large exchanges like the one that happened recently, at least according to the lawmakers. Also, your stupid Cointelegraph said that Turkish Lira has dropped in value recently, but in fact it made a huge comeback as it went from $0.06 to $0.094 Thanks for correcting the original post here. In most cases, a government that is inclined to be authoritative will never easily cede its power to Bitcoin and that is why am a little bit - and supposedly happy - that Turkey is adopting cryptocurrency. But to my dismay, this is just another fake news. anyway, am sad for the people of Turkey because I understand that is actually a country that is making good in its economy years back but is now facing many challenges...may 2022 be bringing more stability to its economy and be bringing more wisdom to people manning the government. |

A lesson that I learned here is never sell
It depends though. Did you sell the bitcoin because you just didn't see it's importance? Or maybe you actually needed the money for something important(hospital cost, student loans, etc)? Don't shame yourself if it actually was the latter, because contrary to popular belief, sometimes there are things much more important than BTC. You know what, you are so right. Satoshi Nakamoto did not established Bitcoin so we can feel so bad when we happened to have sold our BTC holding...this is just a part of life and yes instead of wallowing thinking of what can be let's move on and make things better. I myself sold my BTC when it was just $3000 but there was a big reason why...and admittedly though there is a part of me saying that I should not have done that I fully know that life is really made of choice so I made mine and there is no way of turning back. |
