1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 20, 2023, 03:29:03 AM
Though Team Lebron has a perfect record in NBA All-Star games, I am picking Team Giannis this year. I like the idea of the 3 leading MVP candidates teaming up together to win the All-star games. The trio Giannis-Embiid-Jokic will be interesting to watch. They should have no trouble controlling the boards and with Doncic and Morant with them, they do not have a problem with quickness or playmaking. I bet, Team Lebron will have a hard time winning this year, unless Giannis serves this game to Lebron in a silver platter.

Less than an hour before the game starts, let us enjoy everyone and good luck with your bets.
Funny how they have never beat Team Lebron before but the way they are shooting right now half through the 3th quarter they just might be able to swing a win their way. Team Giannis are up 16 points and the quarter is just getting underway.
This is why I placed a bet on the points spread instead.

Currently, the players are having a warm-up, and I'm excited to watch the game on livestream (this is my first time to watch the whole all-star game which is funny Cheesy).

It seems like Giannis will play on this one even though he has a bandage on his right arm. He injured his right wrist when they played against the Bulls just days before the all-star. I don't know if how will that affects the whole Team Giannis if he will not play on this one (unfortunately). I hope that Giannis will play the whole game and will not re-injure that hand.

Let's enjoy the whole game I guess. Injuries really spoiled this all-star game. It would be more exciting to see players doing some exhibitions, but because of injuries, some of them will just be benched. I put my bet on Team Lebron Team Lebron - Team Giannis @ 1.67.
Really think your bet has a chance to hit. Since Lebron went out injured just as the half ended. He caught his fingers at the rim blocking a shot and it didn't look too good for him to return. So he is out for the remainder of the match.

If you want to watch a preview of what to expect in the testing I found this informative video (rather short compared to all the rest I have viewed) and what the cars that were previewed should have changed during the testing.

Too early, next week we will have tests and cars will have new stuff onboard, new wings are never seen yet.

The teams usually uses fake wings for example on presentations to keep their secrets till the last moment possible.
Yes that is why I said we should have a closer look of what to expect in this season's cars then they can evaluate during testing what needs to stay and what gets thrown out. Maybe those Ferrari wings since they copied Mercedes and they got fined for it.

This overview is more to the teams and what the general things on the cars would look like such as the color matching and sponsorships:
2023 F1 liveries ranked!

Sort of funny to see the marketing Alfa Romeo did during their welcome message by the drivers in a video posted on their media team's page.
Skip to 2:27 minutes if you want to just watch this part of the video.

Those NBA Specials were only for the Skill competition and for the one night before the All-Star game happening in a about an hour from now.
Just checked the bet-6-6 free promotion page and it is not there either. Was going to check my results even though I knew I lost but was not there.

So going to sit and spend the night watching this much anticipated game between Team Lebron vs Team Giannis.

Have a small bet on the under of the total point spread. Because the odds just shifted when I was going to place a bet on the ML winner's market.
Lebron @1.69x and Giannis @2.13x So will go with the points instead.

Good luck to all who are betting on this final curtain celebration of this NBA Weekend!

SEC sues another celebrity the exact same one that they did to Kardashian on the promotion of a cryptocurrency scam.

SEC fines former NBA star Paul Pierce $1.4M over Etheruem Max

Don't know why it took this long after fining her to go after this ex-NBA star for the exact same suit regarding promotion of a cryptocurrency.
But they only did just settle this late last week so they are really going with a fine tooth comb to squeeze even more out of this situation on the aftermath of the downfall of cryptocurrency exchange FTX months later.

@YuginKadoya Didn't know you had so many correct selections for the UFC 219 challenge.
You had even beat me on how many was picked right and I thought it wasn't too bad.
But if you go to the results page, I didn't see your name as one of the three to win.
One incorrect was the top one to win the 2mbtc free bet, which seemed to be the result you would likely need to win these giveaways.
The competitions are tight when it comes to receiving a prize when there isn't any requirement needed other than entering in.

Looks like Blanchfield is the #3 top fighter to compete for the championship in the women's flyweight division.
Am looking forward to see her climb the ranks to get to fight Valentina since she is scheduled to be at UFC 285 event in March.

I see that the underdog victories brought their biggest fan to the first place - buwaytress  Cool

Holy crap I didn't even realise it. Did some rough calculations and saw I was on 8.5 points after last night's win. I'm like cls63, thinking it's a shame we didn't get 3-0 (that was my pick for 2 games in a row and we missed by a goal in both situations).

United spoiled my party, but gave yatty89 all they needed (who's this again?) so hopefully my faith in Spurs is rewarded later.

Newcastle 0-2 LFC (Full time)

A bit of an uncomfortable 2-0 victory for me as a Liverpool fan. We should have won a lot more comfortably but I will take the win & move on to the next game. Newcastle fought well especially when you consider they went down to 10 men.

Back to back wins now for the Reds. Top 4 isn't looking so far away but first a titanic battle with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Didn't watch 2nd half but they were still threatening in first -- 2 attempts on the post, not to mention some great Alisson defending. But a win's a win and we did cause Pope to panic, he went SO high up to defend twice, got unlucky on the second.
The points results just updated of the pool table and it shows you won the yellow cap!
Well shared with the leader yatty89 (yeah, who are they on here?) prior to the last match Tottenham that just ended about 15 minutes ago. But he was at 11.5 and you were at 8.5.
So don't know how the calculations of the points came out at the end of the tallying but it was in your favor with a couple of bonus points.

Congratulations to you on a rare yellow cap for us near the bottom of the overall table.

Not sure if anybody took the Specials yesterday for the EPL but they were quite abit of them due to the club sponsor Arsenal was playing.
Managed to take the ones which were 5.00+x odds and they hit very easily.

The window was within two hours before the match began as it usually is so always have been checking ever since they started doing this for the past few weeks now.

The new season is about to begin and even on Clubhouse.tv during their livestream of EPL football the jockeys were hyped about the F1 2023 season. Mentioning about it's start the cars will go through in a few days from now with testing at the track at Sakhir.
Then a week later the new season will commence in Bahrain.
Here is the testing and planned schedule for the 2023 season of F1:

Such as the red bull car that was unveiled in New York the past week was actually the 2022 seasons with slight changes.
But during testing they should have a much different looking car out there instead.

-snipped-
We got the same picks I also got Erin Blanchfield, Alexander Hernandez, Nazim Sadykhov, A.J. Fletcher, and Clayton Carpenter for me I will be picking Blanchfield even though Jessica Andrade looks ripped with that muscle of hers, but for me, Erin Blanchfield is a fighting kitten through and through and with that wrestling technique that has the edge I think she can counter Andrade's submission attempts and takedown, and can surely get a takedown and submission her self,
We both won then on our bets for the UFC. Just finished watching the main event and Erin submitted Andrade in the second round and didn't take too much effort in getting the win either.
It was a masterclass of a performance so the Molly McCann win wasn't by fluke even though that was pure domination of a very good fighter.
But this one was the validating match because Jessica Andrade was a former champion not too long ago.
So she passed this test and can move on to the next one to get her own championship title.

After the fight she called out either Grasso or Shevchennko:

That is determination at it's finest right with that statement!

Skills competition happening in the next few hours and I like Buddy Hield to take the three point competition.
There is a special from the site I placed my bet on with him getting over 28.5 points in the final round and winning @10.00x so that is my only pick for these tonight and of course Team Lebron for the All-Star game.

Have anybody who follows DOTA2 heard about this occurring in professional match-play before?

Only noticed it while reading it from the thread above on how some professional sports leagues had been found match-fixing and it came to light in recent matches being played aswell in the eSports arena.
Yup, it happened before and afaik the last match-fixing that happened was between Newbee who used to be one of the top teams in China. The unfortunate part is that some of the players that got caught up in the match-fixing case were also banned. With how low the pay can be in certain regions we could definitely see players still doing it but catching these guys will be hard as it's rare to find any good evidence unless they admit it on their own.

Anyway, match fixing is the lesser issue right now in the competitive scene and hacking is becoming one of the rising issues in Dota as most of the hacking programs(maphack, illusion hack, etc) can be used without getting caught and some of the pro players in the lower division are getting away with it.
Sounds like that is a common occurrence in the DOTA2 professional organization and tournaments from what I have read about it on that thread and the news links that were provided from the many sources on there thus far.

So maybe it is better to stick to betting on League of Legends then, right? They don't seem to have an issue with such hacks and cheats in their professional played tournaments.

Talking about LoL, I have my eye on betting on the LCK tournament tomorrow with TI and Damwon being the favorites in their two matches:

Just put my picks in for that, I went in blind on my picks, and went for team LeBron, who else right? This match is of particular importance also to BSFL peeps... I'm hoping LeBron gives others a chance for MVP while ensuring everyone scores a point.

Also don't forget the new round of Bet-6-6 too, always 100k free money to win.

Look out for specials tomorrow. Big, big game for Arsenal to try and nudge City all the way!
Always do just that! Or it would be a waste of placing a required bet inorder to enter these bet free promotions in the first place. Wink

While looking to see if they had put up the EPL promo for the Arsenal match as they always do, noticed ClubHouse TV has their own section in the Sportsbet.io Specials now:

This one inparticular is to do with the upcoming NBA All-Star game which happens tonight:

Have anybody who follows DOTA2 heard about this occurring in professional match-play before?

If it's possible for this kind of competition for fraud to occur, how much more to much smaller competitions. There are local and regional competitions everywhere. Some games must be rigged. Some detected, some not.

Here, there was also a national basketball competition where a team was obviously throwing the game. It was Manny Pacquiao himself who filed the case against those who were involved in the fixing.

I also have a neighbor who was a pro DOTA II player. He and his team were involved in match fixing. They were banned by Valve itself.

Fraud is also rampant in sports.
I'm kind of intrigued. Who is this neighbors of yours that is a pro DOTA 2 player?
Solo was also accused of match fixing as he placed a bet against his own team, Virtus Pro. Remember the 322 meme? It was originally pertaining to his act.

I won't drop any name, but suffice it to say that he's a player of Team Smart Omega or popularly known as Omega ESports. They were playing against Execration in the SEA DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-2022. It was suspected that Omega ESports was throwing the game. Later on, after investigation, it was confirmed that they were involved in a match-fixing agreement. It was pretty obvious in the game. They were eventually banned from all Valve-sponsored events.

This is off-topic already, but the point is fraud in sports happen not just in the local, regional, and national levels; it happens even in the international level.

So Tesla's Elon has donated $2 billion in it's own stock to charity. Yet they were to two of his own foundations so that money just gets recycled back into his wealthy empire.

He does get to write it off this tax season and no doubtedly sold some BTC from the recent 11.75% pump there was in the past couple of days.
Just so to keep recycling it into yet another one of his companies that is certainly into debt.
The birdie one or could it be dogie in the not too distant future?

They are slight underdogs but am taking them to win with the over 221.5 pts.

Signing Ross earlier in the day must get them hyped up to win this match so they stay above LA Clippers(32-28) in the standings.

I've just read that the new season of "Drive to survive" will be going live from February 24.
I don't know if the launch date was announced earlier, if so I've gracefully missed it.

Yes correct.

It's already being shared on "Netflix" at that time the series want to be release (1-2 weeks before the launch date is coming). I think people are looking forward for "Drive to survive", since they can bring back max into the seat again.
They had the final trailer earlier today and it does make it out to be better than all the rest of them.
