So did anyone find any clues as to who Variety Jones (or Cimon) is?

I feel sorry for all the members that lost their time due to this.
This is however, the reason I did not participate in the second contest.
(Mostly because it was a battle of votes, not talent)

Mind you though, I did receive the small prize from the first one.

MrBau, I am sorry you did not get your prize.
You really deserved it - which is why I voted for you on the first one.

1726  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Directory.io - Now with balances! on: April 05, 2015, 07:21:22 PM
How many bitcoin address exist and how many maximum possible address could be exist ?

2160 are currently possible due to the use of RIPEMD 160. Im not certain what your understanding of an existing address is. If you are asking for address with a balance I think this[1] chart answers that, but Im not entirely sure what a "unique" address is according to bc.i.

Is it possible one of our addresses exist in these pages ?

Yes, all of them.

Is this real or fake ?

Its real its just not a database, they keys are generated on the fly by your "input" (the page you select).

There you go....

Nice Avatar......

We shall play soon.
Sunday is family day and I am cheating  by posting this crap Wink

1) More Bitcoin addresses than the stars we have discovered so far (and it's a number your brain can't process).
2) Yes it is possible, but keep in mind the addresses and private keys are created on the fly.
3) It's real. (possible - probably NOT).

Hope this helps  Wink

JESUS ! He gave away a lot of info . The " I cashed out at 2 world poker series " being the worst inho . Beware profiling . Oh , and I got it wrong in a previous post , I said Nod and meant nob

Talking about this guy/gal?:

Quote
The “nob” account, as noted above, was an undercover account controlled by SA Force.
SA Force had been using the account to communicate with “Dread Pirate Roberts,”
posing as a large - scale drug dealer seeking to do business on Silk Road.

1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Legend of Satoshi Nakamato, FINAL STEP PUBLISHED.... 4.87 BTC GRAND PRIZE! on: April 04, 2015, 08:30:21 PM
I understand that these puzzles are very involved and can be an emotional rollercoaster, but I assure you that I have my priorities straight. I value honor and integrity. I am not making any alternate accounts to post on the thread. I have a pledge to the 1347 (1337) players who have completed the trail that I will not be posting any clues.

My team and I have put a lot of sweat into the development of these puzzles, and I fund them with the few bitcoins I have. I even pay my developers for their contributions. I do this because I believe in the work I do, I believe artists can do something revolutionary with bitcoin. I believe many of us can influence the world for the better.

To anyone who is interested in the puzzle: do your own research. There will be people who are disgruntled for one reason or another. However there are many players who would stand behind me when I say I am an honest person.

Like the rest of us, I'm working for a better tomorrow. Why? Because I care.

Did you REALLY come out of your shell just to address me?

Seriously?

Talking about honesty, do you really think ANYONE with an IQ of more than 10 will actually believe you made a mistake on your last ARG?

Good luck with that, and good night to you.
I am going to bed.

I had enough of your sh*t.

Thanks
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Legend of Satoshi Nakamato, FINAL STEP PUBLISHED.... 4.87 BTC GRAND PRIZE! on: April 04, 2015, 08:28:28 PM
That being said, I will say this for one last time and I will be on my way....
YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME!!!

S4VV4S, why don't you fulfill your promise given so many times and finally "be on your way"? You won't convince anyone on your side of the story, and you are spoiling the pleasure for everyone trying to play with this riddle. You are just trolling on and on. Thanks.

I don't think I am spoiling anything for you "level 1"  Wink
You didn't have anything to begin with....
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Legend of Satoshi Nakamato, FINAL STEP PUBLISHED.... 4.87 BTC GRAND PRIZE! on: April 04, 2015, 07:06:51 PM
What was it?

Skunk artist?
Oh.....
it was CON artist.....

Close enough.....

Also: check out how the OP responds to my statement here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766000.msg10953793#msg10953793

Then follow the real ending in the first bullshit ARG and you will find MANY similarities ......

The use of images and/or gifs instead of a proper answer being one .....

EDIT: Wheres my PONY this time?

so do you think it is only a joke? There isn't any ARG or enigma? It could be possible this time but I'm not sure.

OH NO!

There is a puzzle but you will get NO prize for cracking the riddle.

Follow this and draw your own conclusions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766000.msg10953793#msg10953793

EDIT: There's a reason she decided to move the new puzzle to another forum...
But guess what, I am not a member of the other forum so her bullshit ARG did not get crashed again (and yet).

Sorry everyone this person I'm responding to is trying to scare people away from the puzzle or is just being crazy.  He thinks I'm @Coin_Artist, which I'm not. I've actually contributed to working on this puzzle and I promise the prize is up for grabs and you can access it through the image she has posted. I have verified the answer myself in person.

Good luck all you "Gunters"

Cheers Smiley

Really?

So why were you responding with bullshit pics and gifs when I CLEARLY STATED THAT I HAVE CRUSHED YOUR PREVIOUS BULLSHIT ARG.
Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766000.msg10954099#msg10954099

If I am crazy you just ignore me.... right?
But wait.....
My crazy shit makes sense while your bullshit does not.....

you are doing the same mistake you did on your first bullshit ARG....
you are schooling them yet you have no intention of giving up the reward.

I'm new to this. What's your theory?

You seem to be implying that 9500 is the same person who created the contest.

What would be their motivation? How does the scam work? What's it in for them?

LOL!

The same that was for the "pony" girls in the previous contest, which was basically the same person as the OP but just trying to give everyone a push because they were stuck....

Motivation? Publicity....
She needs it badly, but she is getting bad publicity because she didn't put up.

PS: Don't even try it this time, I am using open internet connection  Wink

1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Legend of Satoshi Nakamato, FINAL STEP PUBLISHED.... 4.87 BTC GRAND PRIZE! on: April 04, 2015, 05:56:44 PM
the flames on the borders could be binary. long flames representing 1, short flames representing 0. Where to start is the question. Or purple flames being 1/0 and green flames being 1/0. Could be a double message between these too, but again where to start? The outside border looks more chaotic then the inside border. The likelihood of there being a message contained with in the inside border is greater then the outside.

I don't think it is binary (at least not directly).

Flames come in four combinations of colors, as I can see it:
(inside color) - (outside color)
blue - yellow
blue - red
green - yellow
green - red

Also, they come in two lengths - short and long. That makes 3 bits per flame. It can be mapped to binary on 8! = 40320 ways.

One example mapping is:
bys 000
brs 001
gys 010
grs 011
byl 100
brl 101
gyl 110
grl 111

(where bys = blue-yellow-short, grl = green-red-long, etc..)

40320 combinations does not seem too hard to brute force, but how to check if output is correct? ASCII?

Nice!

So you used your (a little bit over two years) account to tell us that?
(Your very first post after 2+ years, nice!)

Apart from that you are doing the same mistake you did on your first bullshit ARG....
you are schooling them yet you have no intention of giving up the reward.

Apart from that, you DO NOT BRUTE FORCE, you just use your wits.
WTF happened to you?
No rules this time?

Ah, nevermind, good luck everyone trying to "crack" this one.....

1739  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 100 % Cryptsy Clone Open Source Release on: April 04, 2015, 05:36:59 PM
I hope this forces exchanges to be better.  I want people to demand more from exchanges. Exchanges should offer all the basic services like a block explorer. They should offer auto withdrawls to a pre-set address if a coin gets delisted. Coins should have at least 1 year when they get listed.

All if would take is someone to raise the bar and many coins would move their volume away from the exchanges they are currently on.

Stop demanding....

You have an open source exchange.
Fork it and do all these shit yourself.

And don't forget to give back to the community.....
That means release it as open source as well...

Apart from that @ OP
I did not check your source but thank you in advance for releasing this as open source  Wink

What a nerd.

^ @patio11

Not a nerd, he is uneducated....
Nerds know the difference when a website is down and when a P2P system (that cannot and will not ever be down) being down.

Apart from that, the answer to this crap was already given by Franky:

bitcointalk (this website) which is only a forum and NOT a blockchain NOT a currency.. just a website... was down for several hours a couple days ago...

seriously people need to learn the difference or if they know the difference, atleast explain it better.

its like saying wall street trading markets stalled.. where the reality would be that the financial times newspaper was late to press
