Well, I'd say -- something like an auto-correct -- the type he proposed would be helpful though but -- at the same time -- I think it's not a necessity as Theymos has alot of priorities on his waiting list.
Every smart phone/tab should have an auto-correct initialized in it keyboard right? (Incase you're using one), otherwise grammerly should be a nice take....like me, I don't really get stressed out when typing an idea that's formulated already; I'd just have to vet 'em properly to avoid UNUSUAL typos. Vacab-builder does a good job anyways -- the hardest part anyone would wish to conquer everytime is "proving, arguing, illustrating a point, an idea -- where and when it's necessary.

I'd bet that -- that's simply the truth behind these pin-drop silence from 'em clodpolls lately... lmao, that ain't derogatory though but "you" ...(C'monnnn, when I said YOU, it meant everyone that got some stress with the topic in question) so YOU gotta learn up; stick to the proceed and never forget that learning is a process

Wait..!!!!!!
I'm I getting this straight? Or I'm being too paranoid or what?
Are you trying to promote stakes.com here?? Huh Huh Because if not, what was the purpose of making a post about some audio-wins? Something we ain't even sure, huh? Why should anyone just pop-up from nowhere and propose a giveaway on B/H and everyone's just keeping quiet about it? .....Tskkk!!
I've never seen a gambler that won on just a single wager and latter began to propose about writing an affiliate book for the casino, NEVER,!! This only happens if an external person is paid for it or maybe "the person behind the account is already affiliated with stakes.com"...  this whole thing looks fishy, especially when the poster bears a newbie account ...I didn't even click on that link Sad

There is a saying that " if you can't beat them, you join them " ,is this what's going on with Btc and our government?

You can't confuse me that the government aren't buying Bitcoin too, since they knew that this is the real power back to the people, something they really can't control, I'm guessing the only option they have is to join?
The government doesn't really need to stop Bitcoin; in our technological world today, we've got a Grand rule, which is: you can't destroy what you cannot create. Ethical hackers are tryna bypass 'em limits but it's somewhat hard and almost impossible.
The government isn't in control of Bitcoin. AFAIK,since BTC ain't a "medium of exchange", alot of Bitcoin's transaction - most especially in p2p - will have a user paid in FIAT, cash, bucks etc....this invariably means that this two are working in concordance, until whenever. For now, Bitcoin serves as a store of value which, I guess is ONE of the reasons for it's volatility.

1724  Other / Meta / Re: Incentivizing moderation reports with millimerits on: December 04, 2022, 04:18:08 PM
The whole idea of merit is to reward a good quality post. I don't think we should confuse it with a reporter's reporting status.
Yeah, this is the same thing I thought though but honestly, I had to give in because I thought we'd need to devise some means to curtail the whole wall of spammy post we get usually.... Well, it might be a little of an abuse  to the merit system, but I don't think it'll obscure the original purpose of which it was created.

The images and badges is never an exception folks... I'm hearing of this plan for the first time though but, it's a cool one and I think it has some kinda interceptions that'll forfeit Glove's theorem; but that's not just possible when both are still under probation.....
Kudos Finding,
Edit 1:
Agreed, plus there is a loophole, ppl may create their own new alt accounts, start spamming with it and report themselves to earn merit on their other account.
Would someone in their right senses do these? Hahaha.... I couldn't hold over 'em. This is Just impossible cus "how long is that gonna work"?..if you say that the MODS are just gonna be unnecessarily stressed by some incessant request, I'll quickly agree with you. The former was just dumb and impossible.
Edit 2: I was wondering if Gloves could possibly get those patches? I mean, for the images?

1725  Other / Meta / Re: Incentivizing moderation reports with millimerits on: December 04, 2022, 02:45:53 PM
So, the idea would be for each user to have a "millimerit" balance (either hidden from view, or maybe visible next to the existing report accuracy numbers). Moderators could then award members with say 25 millimerits for any good report and -100 for any bad report.
Good proposal Gloves.
1)  If the millimerit balance stays hidden, then how's the estimations gonna be made? If it's visible, is that not gonna give everyone the guts to have a users' stat on their finger tips?
So how 'bout adding an extra Option to the MOD's tool just to enhance a single user's visibility -- strictly to the MODs alone??
2)  I haven't been taking it as a priority to report 'em post though but, I guess these cut ratio between "a user reporting a post wrongly and getting them right -- looks pretty much like a thug of war, a bridge of uncertainty"
Some peeps don't even know which post to report and what standards it has gone against -- those set of asshole would only suffer some lame depreciation with this theorem -- but I don't think they'd get motivated anyways, as the offer won't buy a plate of potato salad (assuming they were bucks) lol....
Quote
The thing I like about this system is that it can be completely ignored by the reporters that don't need an incentive (they can just pretend the system doesn't exist and keep doing their thing; it changes nothing for them except that they'll receive an extra merit once in a while). But, it might encourage others to spend their time cleaning up the forum, too. The steep carrot/stick ratio is to prevent would-be abusers from gaining any traction.
True.
Those set of reporters won't even recall that there's been an incentive though but it'll be exactly the same thing that'll ignite those yo-yos, dimwittys ...
Quote
;too little and it obviously won't jump-start anything, too much and it would likely lead to excessive reporting.
Which is the same thing you wanted right? Lol.... I'm sure you're not expecting an escalation over the previous quantity? If yes, then it'll attract alot if 5 merits could be gained in every 1000 millimerits and 100 is Lost for every bad report.... that seems cool to me Tongue
Quote
An interesting consequence of a system like this is that it would probably compel a decent fraction of merit-seeking newbies to thoroughly learn the forum's rules.
Yes, only for those who would DECIDE to LEARN.... "Compel" isn't the word Gloves; alot would even join the train and earn some merit points (that's if it were appreciable), and won't still know any damn thing for Christ sake!!! ....On the other hand, They could still be seeking for merits yet, won't look at this as an option. This whole thing means that "no matter how hard you try, you'd just end up realizing the forum wasn't meant for everyone AND, not everyone came in with a good motives, as yours. All the same, this is a good proposal and I'd like to hear from others too.

Yeah, I could still remember these....
The memories back then, when I'd visit remote areas in the rural communities, where they've got a cheif and a council of elders(and that's like a system of government in there....I believe that decisions are made based on the standing sovereignty).
After some menial entertainments, they sat me out, in a shed -- where some kids gathered around me at first,(Maybe they thought I'm also a mother like their mom? So they kept staring in confusion or, rather surprise), then the atmosphere was right and it was time for their night play -- it' started and they displayed a whole lot of cultural performances and lastly, it was the Scorpion fight.....(they did that as a means of entertainment though, nobody placed a bet on 'em)

I'd first of all start be reminded you that Iran is a belligerent country; a type that's way too troublesome and they're known for fighting inter- boundary wars.... That same austerness could prolly be a big problem here as anyone would react to anything, based on their own discretions.
Is a security man not supposed to protect a citizen? How has loosing in the world cup tournament got anything to do with a homicide? That's fucked up.... There are no excuses for that, and that ass' should be locked and executed immediately. I thought I'd choose my ways to do whatever I wanted? As Long as it ain't a crime? So how could he shoot him on the face? Except they're just gonna play some midgames with that, he shouldn't be set free!!!

Then again I'd say that you're not addicted, No!
Yunno what it'll cost you to refrain from gambling if you're addicted already? Denying yourself of the Funtime that you've had almost everyday of your life? All for one reason, and it's that you lost woefully? I mean who gives a Heck? That should prolly be a reason to hold on and keep stacking high cus the very moment you'd decide to let go -- could be the same time you'll win --. As a gambler, I believe you should expect anything; some days, you could get a cash influx, other days could just be like the day you made this decision.

For me it has a lot of advantages -
- it minimizes losses
- it reduces the chances of being addicted
- it helps to build bonding. We hang out. We watch the game and we have fun.
- We have a budget and we stick to it. It sorts of builds accountability.
When you say that it has an advantage; isn't the first important advantage supposed to be that you won alot from it so decided to share? Just like you'd want everyone else to share theirs? -- Mhan, that shoulda been a priority before these minor guidelines... afterall, there's no way to avoid losses as long as you keep betting... This would have been even more explicit though but I'm seeing it as something "incomplete" without a composed logical trick to maneuver...No way!! Well, I just hope it helps y'all out there but these are just ordinary rules that any gambler should save his ass, AFAIK.

No!!! I haven't been involved or seen physically how these ordeal is conducted but I know for sure that I have seen a couple of times ; how it's done and I always keep wondering how those animals are made to fight themselves...lol
It's a cool game though but you are not gonna really have that in the outskirts of some metropolitan cities and towns, like you have casinos and it's look like some sort of local bar-betting games. When I watch the seriousness on the faces of those bettors and, how those animals would strain every bit of strength they've got, just to liverage their bettors -- it's almost a WONDER in my little world. I've really watched scorpion fight though.

It's very important that you know what you're doing...
You can't be be into something -- something you'd expect some huge profits then you don't even know the strength of your predictions...it's weird.
Since you've realized that those are your weaknesses...Lets assume 'em -- Sport booking, roulette etc... No matter the odds that games are given under them, you shouldn't feel any interest right? Cus afterall, what you get -- is merely those infuriating losses and, since you haven't had the experiences or say - the "luck" to predict sportgames, it'll just keep happening. I wonder why peeps get so unlucky even when we've got a whole lotta sites that Could even go as far as -- supporting, teaching or building your gambling experiences....and there are.

Germany with an expected win i even expected that after the losing that they were gonna turn it around. But they didnt expect Japan to win against Spain and they didnt count on that and probobly came really shocking to them. For spain this is better because they are going on Morroco that is easier

Actually, Germany did a big turn around after the big loss but, it was useless as that wasn't even meant to guarantee Thier victory into the group E,... It was just fucked up!
Spain also made my breath cut as the LOST to Japan? How's that? Yeah, but afterall - it happened right to my face, but the most shocking part is that Espanyol was in full control of the game , with a good gameplay, pushing in those coordinated japanese players - into their coast but, it was too tight and they barely had a space to drift through with the ball. Let's see how their performance will be against Morocco.

Why should any sane person decide to use gambling sites to store his worth or value...as in what happens in de-centralized exchange? That's not advisable and would cost any person his life savings or whatsoever he had in there -- to be claimed once they run bankrupt. I believe if any gambler should have some funds in their casino account, then it should be just for an immediate stake.

The whole industry cannot be plague with the effects of one casino folding up with people's money, after a long while. Yunno, the could actually have some fear and take the least possible - preventive measures to avoid making the same mistakes....but with time, they'll get to trust 'em quickly (most especially when they're being paid immediately after winnings, without complain, with more sophisticated means for withdrawal etc....)

I also don't understand this either, how could Spain lose against Japan, after dominating this match and winning in the first half. Maybe I'll admit Hajime Moriyasu as a good coach Japan expert, this man is a tactician can do it a epic comeback in this world cup. Previously, Japan managed to win vs Germany with a similar comeback, after Germany won in the first half and ahead in terms of ball position. Japan is Incredible !

That's the same complexities that I had ..... I really felt numb and couldn't believe the whole damn thing... Espanyol lost before my eyes, to an international team like Japan. This is the same way Japan qualified as the first asian country to win against Columbia; it was a 2:1 win just like this one, in the round of 16.
Spain has got a good lineup team that's formable - atleast to my overview - that could have atleast, battled for a draw just to maintain the sporting preference that some fans would have over Japan....they had complete dominance in the game but it turned out, something so fucked up like that. They'll just have to join 'em in the round of 16'ss.

If you are been told in November of 2021 that FTX will go bankrupt and others like 3AC, Genesis and Voyager will be on the list too will you believe it?
It actually happened and there's little or nothing they could do about that. Literally, it's seen as mismanagement of funds or tokens and that's what is taken as the "reason why any exchange goes down".
We don't even know if it's something they' all cahooted and agreed to fold up with people's fund in there (this infact, is what everyone normal person would be thinking but, who knows?)? ... If genuinely, it's due to management process (cus thos whole damn thing ain't easy), then it's not really Thier fault, but how bout the damages? Seee.... Yes...
There's still alot of hope for the future to this impeccable finance theorem.
There's nothing that is happening today that hasn't happened already...maybe, countless times in the past and peeps back then were able to sail through 'em. The deterioration in value of BTC over time, which is termed as the DIP, ain't happening for the first time, neither is it gonna stop happening.... This actually gives rookies some time to join the moving train, just so they could be carried along swiftly.... I Know how the pressure is when it gets to this point, so the bulls will just have to pull out whatever value the had innit and it keeps going down...but ofcourse as I said; it all happens in a stipulated time (it's not exact though) but the whole advancement(either ways) are predetermined by the increase in demand, availability and bull's logical antipathy.

Hahaha......
I don't even know why this funny to me ... Uhmm first of all, when you say the term "crypto currencies" what exactly poops up on your mind? What token has really made you decide to invest in cryptocurrency ?... Cus yes, we have alot of tokens out there.
I won't advise you to take that step cus it sounds as if you wanna invest everything you got innit and expect to get a proportional return but in Bitcoin specifically, sometimes it gotta pull your legs vigorously as it's uncertain to make a living outta it. I:e it pays on due course, when the market is right..... But if you ain't planning of giving everything into it, then it's really fine as the leftover would build a business that you could rely on....untill whenever

Binance is centralized, fact ascertained. They've got to be interwoven with some part of the DEX cus they trade with Fiat which, is basically the process that anyone would convert 'em cryptos into an acceptable cash.
They're abusing the system as @pooya said though.... Cus I don't really see any essence of having P2P in centralized exchange where users are not in control of their token, cash, whatsoever... Same thing happens in remitano; where they connect a buyer or seller upon already created ads to either buy or sell (that's invariably P2P right?)? So the abuse is where the could freeze any account that hasn't passed the due verification process, matterless of the funds in there ...... AGAIN, THAT'S SLAVERY!!
