I sold some Bitcoin for a couple of $100s of USDT, just to be sure that we reach $9k-10k soon  Grin

I had no clue what the BIS was, so I had to google it.

The BIS is the ‘central bank of central banks’. To be honest, the recent media outings of their chairman on the rise of cryptocurrencies were not exactly what the public is waiting for in terms of banking reform (how not to increase faith of the public in banks or: a PR disaster in the making). I hate to say it but the physical appearance of the guy also does not help in the minds of the public.

It all smells like making their long term irrelevance a given by their own (in)action, even without the ascent of cryptocurrencies.

Smells like uptrend. But i'm still waiting for confirmation around ~9500usd.

I am also looking for this so that:

- we have a higher high than in the recent downtrend
- we have a(n) (untested) breakout from the downward trend line (tops in the downtrend)

The market is stronger than I thought. All in all, good signs everywhere. We are approaching spring time  Cheesy

I think the ‘41 winter and Mr H. at the helm of the army instead of his generals played a crucial role. All the rest was the aftermath.

If the bulls want to keep in charge, they have to act now. Although MACD 4hr shows a cross, the 1hr MACD could warrant a small rally to $8,500.

But overall, it seems we are preparing for a new leg down. I don’t guess on the target now.

"ECB board member Yves Mersch said on Thursday that “cryptocurrencies” are “not money, nor will they be for the foreseeable future.”"

So we either have a pathological liar or a donkey who doesn't understand what money is in the board of the ECB.

I do not rule out that his view on money may require some ‘upgrading’  Wink

is marginal compared to all the rest. Just put that story to bed. Seriously.

BTC dominance is sinking and sinking.

I don't really like this.

Altcoins are thriving just as before the crash and it gets worst.
Its likely part of a cycle - I (speculatively) can see an alt bubble followed by a BTC surge

It could indeed be another 'alts surpassing Bitcoin' in terms of drive towards higher prices. A Bitcoin stagnant - Alts booming kind of thing. Not completely irrational since not all alts are trying to solve the problem Bitcoin is trying to solve. But it makes reading the markets harder.

At 95% down, one could contemplate a speculative buy.

I would phrase it otherwise but the lockup (and market freeze) at Cryptopia is indeed becoming rather unfortunate.

Mid February should see some action for the Beta testing group. If the test is satisfactory, PLU team considers a wider rollout. While this is good news, the BTC price is tanking. The last opportunity to load up?

I'm asking you, crypto bubble has grown and it has broken, and they are still doing beta. Where can you buy it? Is there any normal market except etherdelta?

1. Crypto is not broken.

2. If you believe Crypto is broken, don’t invest in Plutus.

3. Pluton markets are listed here:  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pluton/#markets

4. Warning: the markets are shallow. If you want to buy meaningful quantities, be prepared to buy up to 2-3x the going market price.

Hory shit, interbank lending has plunged.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/IBLACBW027NBOG

Look at the 1 yr. What did they see coming in the New Year?

What is the significance of that indicator? Doesn't seem to have much $$$ in it even before the plunge?

As I recall, the collapse in inter-bank lending was one of the hallmarks of the '08 debacle.

That’s why I would have expected an article about it at ZeroHedge (but I am a day or two behind in my RSS feed).

Is this an anomaly? I cannot find any story about this on the Internet.

The matter is quite clear: KYC will be required for swapping a NET token for a Nimiq token. If local law prohibits someone from such swap, no swap for him. Complain to your local legislator if you do not like this. And send me your cheap NET tokens by dumping them  Cheesy
