I would challenge that statement. Unless you consider what Canada sells you as "reserve"? Yeah I consider Canada as the reserve. Canadians are the life line of oil,natural gas, and water. Although if we include Fracking. The US can always keep its head above water. Also we have saudis. US needs clean energy. I heard the fusion technology is going to be the next step. That almost sounds like you are saying "Canada is our bitch".  I agree with you about fusion. Achieving that will almost free us from oil. I say almost because we have such a large dependency on plastics, made from oil.  |

The funny part is that these commercials were never advertised as being real; I believe that they were a Funny or Die skit. I'm surprised so many people fell for it.

Although I still believe such hacks are internal thefts with the owner's cooperation, I do like the way they are handling this loss.
They say they lost x% of bitcoins. They are "temporarily" deducting everyone's balance by x%.
Hopefully that "temporarily" means they later will re-add that x% to each user balance (as they profit) - even if they do it in steps - that is still much better than any other plan to date.

Something you have (altcoins?) that the lender holds onto and can easily be resold for around $3,400 should you not pay back. |

I was wanting to get a loan for 5btc's and was trying to read up on how to use the Escrow services. The only question I have is how would I use the services if I would like to use my vehicle as collateral? I'm 100% confident I will have the loan paid off within 3 months but I just wanted to know how escrow would work. Also can you only use you vehicle as collateral if it's paid off?
If you have a lien on your vehicle already, you cannot use it as collateral. It depends on the agreement you make with the lender. Some lenders (if they live close to you) might allow you to continue driving the vehicle until you pay off the loan. Others may require that you give the car to a third party escrow (again, near you) and the escrow holds it until you pay back the loan. |

Not really sure how this lending works.
I am looking for at least a 2BTC loan. I would pay it back within a couple weeks max. Could be as fast as a few days.
You need to provide something that the lender can hold onto and can easily be resold for around $1,300. That is called collateral, and without it you will not get a loan. |
