1741  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversifying? on: December 06, 2017, 04:42:50 PM
Just fix some investment - change to fiat as much as you need for life. All other money should be in bitcoin:) May be it will be a good decision to change some bitcoins to portfolio of alternative crypto, but not much 10% or 15%
10% or 15% is highest profit if you saving money in bank lol Grin. Actually earning profit 1% everday still helps us get rich, after 100 day we will x2 our capital and can withdraw this profit for enjoy.
Except for crypto there is no other investment that could potentially give to you 1% daily this is why many people fall for scams, they hear numbers like that and it seems attractive but they do not really understand that a person earning that could become rich in just a few years, so do not expect to get those kind of earnings, it is impossible to get them and if someone tells you that is possible that person is probably trying to scam you.
1742  Economy / Economics / Re: Where Will The Digital Economy Take Us? on: December 05, 2017, 10:47:21 PM
I suppose the changes will be seen earlier, in the nearest 8-10 years. Today they have already started to talk about decentralized internet. Less people will start using banks, and banks will have to reduce their commissions.
Banks are just going to evolve and adapt to bitcoin, I'm sure they are thinking about it, if possible they are going to prefer bitcoin to be destroyed but if that is impossible they are going to try to become the winners in this new system, in fact I will not be surprised if banks have already began to buy bitcoin secretively at cheap prices the last time bitcoin crashed so it is possible they are in fact interested that bitcoin gets major adoption to make a lot of money.
1743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i lost 20% of my budget on: December 05, 2017, 09:38:36 PM
why are all these cryptocurrencies are going down?
Why, because it happens sometimes there are not reasons for something like that, it seems you are a trader and as such you are going to try to understand the way the market moves, but sometimes the only thing you can do is to accept what the market is giving to you, if I were you I will just hold and wait to get profits, but the fact that you are a newbie and seem upset about this tells me that maybe you should try to think if trading is in fact the best option for you.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Altcoins match up to Bitcoins on: December 05, 2017, 08:47:19 PM
Just wait for few years maybe Ethereum can ,if not there are other good coins available like xrp, iota, xlm, time can only tell if an alt can take the throne.
Ethereum is the only coin that is close to bitcoin right now and even ethereum is very far away, even if ethereum is settling more transactions that is because of icos, so it is like having 100 coins all together against bitcoin at the same time and even all of that is still not enough since the average person probably has never heard of Ethereum but he has heard about bitcoin a few times.
1745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Think About Lending Coin Platforms? on: December 05, 2017, 07:33:58 PM
I would rather not risk my money to that degree. All it takes is some big fud to lose it all on a platform. Say bitconnect, regalcoin, salt or any of those was cracked open and exposed as a ponzi and all similar platforms become exposed by default too.

But they are still working Huh
Until the day they wont, that is the way people get scammed, at first everything seems right and you get your payments and then they disappear and you lose money that is very common among HYIP, I'm not saying this is a scam but it is a risky investment as anyone that knows anything about crypto should know that lending and investing in icos are two of the most risky things you can do.
1746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia says BTC will never be legalised - do you think we'll see a knock on? on: December 05, 2017, 05:15:05 PM
Today you hear something from Putin, tomorrow you hear something else from someone else. It is understandable that most countries will want to see how they can adopt the blockchain technology without having to legalize bitcoin knowing its decentralized nature. However, not legalising does not mean it can be stopped and I am sure they already know that. Worst that would happen is for each country to introduce their own centralised coin and find a way to push it. Apparently, we just have to wait to see how things would all turn out at the end.
That is not the worst thing it can happen, do you think the Russians are dumb? Do you think they have forgotten the previous economic crisis they suffered? Many old people still have dollars just in case something happens, so if they just create their own coins people are not going to adopt them and those that do are going to be eventually disappointed with those coin and are going to move to bitcoin.
1747  Economy / Economics / Re: $1,500 to spend - buy btc, or buy another miner? on: December 04, 2017, 04:29:08 PM

Thoughts everyone? What would you do with $1500?  Huh

Just a general advice if I may: take your time. Don't FOMO. Plan ahead and don't rush anything. You got your bonus and you're now eager to invest it to don't miss anything. Keep in mind that markets move and even if there is a trend, there are also corrections if a movement is too strong/fast.

I personally would invest $1500 in those projects I researched and that I'm following. Take your time and don't rush Wink
While you are right at the same time bitcoin is moving so fast that decisions need to be taken fast, that does not mean that you rush it, but that you need to invest a good amount of time as soon as possible and try to understand the most about bitcoin as fast as you can before the price makes another 2000 dollars pump, since every day we are not invested on bitcoin is a day of profits we lose and that we are never going to get back.
1748  Economy / Economics / Re: We gonna talk about that flash crash? on: December 03, 2017, 10:30:46 PM
A group may have decided to withdraw for now. But it is okay.
Now we knew bitcoin could go that way and could also reach heights like that.
We have hope now that another day will come and it will hit back to that price.

That is still good news. This fight aint over. Still hodl.
The price crashed very fast and then pumped very fast as well, to me this is a sign that someone dumped a lot of coins and that it is very likely that person or persons bought again at the discounted prices, that is the only way to explain the chart since it is unlikely that the recovery would be so fast without another individual of similar power waiting for that to happen, so it was a maneuver that was planned in order to extract profits from the market.
1749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20k altcoin investment advice.. what will 10x? on: December 03, 2017, 08:14:47 PM
Why everybody is investing in Waves? Didn't you noticed that it is a shitty coin?

I dont know why you all are still trying to hype waves, it is a dead coin, it has been freezed a lot. And the ATH from this coin was $6,34, and it was three months ago.

During the last time it has been fluctuating between $2,80 and $5, there is no way to see that it is profitable, because it is not.

Elixir might be a very good choice, i have some of them, and i am really thinking about buying more, it already did more than 38% today, it is a good decision to invest in there.

If your only argument of why waves is a bad coin is because it reached its all time high 3 months ago then that will mean that almost all altcoins are dead coins too, if you do not like waves that is your right, but almost all altcoins reached their all time high at that point, for example some people may think that ETH each its all time high recently due to the high price in dollars, but its all time high was 0.15BTC at mid June.
1750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rather than being something to fear, AI has the potential to deliver significant on: December 03, 2017, 06:53:35 PM
Exactly this. Its not just AI though, its the whole trend towards AI, automatization, digitalization and robotics. As you said, sooner or later all jobs, even the specialized ones will become obsolete. I mean even cooks are going to be replaced by machines, sounds weird, but its true, this field is highly endangered already as I read recently. The only jobs that will stay are the ones that are in need of human empathy. Doctors, Nursing staff and so on. Those will not likely be replaced by machines that easily.
Anything that does not require creation or improvisation are jobs that are going to eventually disappear to the AI, human empathy is mostly unnecessary for most jobs, just look at customer service, most of the time you are going to be attended by a machine first, you only need to do the right thing at the right time, nurses are the same they are only following orders so they can be easily replaced by AI when the time comes.
1751  Economy / Speculation / Re: is this a point of no return 10K on: December 03, 2017, 05:33:16 PM
I really hope it would go back to 5K so that I could buy a lot more. However I also realise this is probably what everyone else is thinking - hence it won't correct back to below 10K easily ....
Bitcoin already touched 11k and now it is close to touch 12k, stop waiting, bitcoin is not going to go back to those prices unless something really terrible happens, this is real growth that cannot be undone that easily, bitcoin is not going to wait for us, so you either buy now accepting the fact the price is high or you lose the possibility of earning a fortune in the future.
1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Exchanges Speculation on: December 02, 2017, 11:47:19 PM
are 2018-2019 going to be the years when decentralized exchagnes rise to the sky?
or it never will??

This is why I invested some money in decentralized exchanges, the coming regulation is going to affect a lot of people especially that case where coinbase lost to the IRS is going to be the beginning of the end for centralized exchanges, that is why decentralized exchanges are going to be the future and I'm making sure to have some money invested in the most populars so I can benefit in the future.
1753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Can Continually Be Growing Into End of Year on: December 02, 2017, 10:37:27 PM
It is insane, so many experts already predicted that bircoin is going to stop around $8500 but instead of stoping now it keep on reaching new ATH, surely bitcoin is so hard to be predicted and I think bitcoin will keep on growing until next year, if this really happen  then we will have a sweet Christmas gift, bitcoin with $10.000
The predictions of experts are no better than our own guesses, bitcoin is something they have never seen before and to this day many people still do not understand why bitcoin exists at all, so it is obvious they are not going to be able to predict accurately something like bitcoin, the only thing we can do is to wait and enjoy the ride.
1754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Lambos at the End of the year 2018! on: December 02, 2017, 09:39:19 PM
The only problem of iota is the huge supply that it has, maybe if they only have 100 millions max, or 200 millions at least, a lot of people would consider iota as a very profitable investment.

but honestly, if you are a newbie, and you see that a coin is $1,30, would you invest in this one? I wouldn't, only because it is very cheap and who knows if it is going to dissappear soon or not.

If the max supply would be of 100 millions at least the actual price of iota could be more than $10 at the moment, if i am not wrong.

But in fact this is one of the most biggest coins that we have listed right now, i have some iota's on my wallet. once that it gets listed on bittrex it is going to increase a lot, i am sure about that.

IOTA is not going to disappear, it is one of the few projects that bring something new to that able and are not direct copies of bitcoin with just a few details changed, I do not know how successful the tangle is going to be or if it is going to be able to deliver on its promises, but it is certainly a project that is worth watching for and that is worth investing in for the long term.
1755  Economy / Economics / Re: short term investment or long term invesetment on: December 02, 2017, 08:31:23 PM
When it comes to the investment, many newcomers or people with frequent requirement find it difficult to invest for longer amount of time. Here by short investment i mean any investment which is less than year old. That investment has been cashed out within a year. And by long term investment I mean investment which will be kept for more than year ( ideally 10 years or so).
What do you think which is more beneficial short term investment or long term investment
When it comes to crypto is difficult to give a clear answer since it is still very new but historically it has been proven by many independent studies that the best way to invest is to invest for the long term, those that chase profits end up earning less money than those that just hold their investments, this is because trying to outperform the market is a very difficult thing to do that only a minority of people can do.
1756  Economy / Economics / Re: Algorithms nothing else on: December 02, 2017, 05:17:55 PM
Hi

please do not misunderstand me. I am not afraid at all. I just want to know how you guys thinking about this subject.

I am pretty sure that we will still have jobs. Just think about the steam era or the digitalization. 50 years in the past everybody would be afraid to have so money machines working for us and replace simple work.

I could believe that in 30 years we would work more in a consultant way. Not only to grow business but also to speak with people like a psychiatrist.

Just think about the evolution in the past few decades. More and more people are living alone or have less friends than before. That happens regrading our new lifestyle. Living far from home because of our jobs. Coming home late. Having to much things to do. Spending to much time with stuff that do not need community at all like browsing the internet, watching tv or playing games etc.

Well, social isolation does not happen because of the technology, what it happens is that the social networks are changing, before the invention of the car most people never got out of their towns so it is obvious they developed a greater sense of belonging but things have changed since in order to find a job you need to move to the other side of the country, so people do not know who is living next door and so that sense of community is lost as a result.
1757  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with our new found wealth??? on: December 01, 2017, 11:45:54 PM
I'm currently investigating how to stay under the radar with regards to the profits made from crypto.

So, let's say we made millions, how do you get some of the money back to fiat, but without making waves with the government.

Added, I stay in a corrupt country where large scale government corruption is the norm.

Any help will be appreciated.

PS: Is the idea of crypto not to be anonymous.
Since you are talking about a lot of money, in my opinion you should comply with your tax authorities, I know it sucks but it is better than to live your life looking over your shoulder, look for a lawyer and an accountant and explain the situation to them, if they are good they are going to find a way to minimize your taxes and then go forward, pay your taxes and enjoy your money without worries.
1758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC GOLD GOOD or NO on: December 01, 2017, 10:48:12 PM
DO you things btc gold is good
To me it is nothing but a coin created to speculate with its price and for the developers to get some profits they do not deserve, they are trying o make it seems as if they care about the community but if they cared at all they will not be realizing such an amateur fork, if you have some you can sell it and get your free money or you can keep it until the whales begin to pump it and make even more money that way.
1759  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto now worth more than visa! on: December 01, 2017, 08:57:43 PM
Really? I thought VISA would be a long, long ways ahead of crypto. After all, people are still barely using crypto to buy things whereas VISA is used thousands of times per second all around the globe. This is a really surprising fact to me, if it is true that is.

On another note, why on Earth does it even matter? We should not be celebrating overtaking VISA, but instead when we destroy VISA altogether, then it will be a celebration. Tongue
Every little victory counts even if it is small, many people are predicting bitcoin to be worth 100k, 200k or 500k in the future and yet we celebrated reaching 10k as if it was new years eve, why? Because it matters, every small step forward gets us closer to our goals, the fact that crypto reached visa in market cap is the first step to completely destroy visa in the future, the same way that many people are now using bitcoin instead of western union.
1760  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversifying? on: December 01, 2017, 06:59:13 PM
I bought my bitcoin a few years ago now. I was and am a believer, but the massive price increase has me worried that I am now overly invested in bitcoin.

It looks like I have 75% of my money in Bitcoin. Obviously it wasn't always like that, and it with the price rising so much recently, I find myself with a fair amount of money available for the first time in my life!
I know that Bitcointalk probably isn't the best place to ask this, but would you recommend diversifying and if so, in to what?

I was very happy when the price was $1000, but now it feels like I have enough that I could buy a flat or something. It used to be a speculative thing for me, I had invested what I could afford to lose, but now the price has risen so much that it could be easy come easy go, and the price falls back down to where it was last year.

It depends on what you want to do, if you want to keep investing and you think bitcoin is overvalued then now is the time to buy some solid alts, that way when the price goes down you are not going to be so affected, now if what you want is to get out this time seems like the perfect time to do so since the price of bitcoin is very high, but do not worry too much you are one of the few that has a nice problem to have.
