17441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No fork detected--> Segwit is now active UASF is active! WE did it! on: August 01, 2017, 08:52:10 AM
BitmainCash is completely unrelated to bitcoin.

How so?

My understanding is if miners try to make a non segwit block now a fork would happen; it could happen at any moment but so far so good.

As far as BitmainCash thats just an altcoin. That has nothing to do with the Bitcoin network upgrade.

So regardless of what happens with BitmainCash in about 5 hours we have already succeeded in upgrading the network.

To be fair, this "alt" has a lot to do with the "network upgrade". Hate to say it, but in an objective view, BBC weren't wrong to refer to them as Bitcoin rebels. Plus, they had to make good on their threats or people would take them even less seriously then they already are.
17442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's EURO 2017 Discussion and Prediction Thread on: August 01, 2017, 06:51:53 AM
Lol mate this makes my day. hahaha. People here are just posting just for the hell of it without reading what they are posting. I even saw one posting about football in a NBA thread. Lol.
Such a bummer indeed because its my first time to beat in Women's League and I lost my first bet. Anyway, they are so ecstatic with the victory:

Theresa Nielsen, player of the match

“To beat Germany is so amazing. It was a tough start, though. I can’t describe the feelings because it’s so huge. Somebody cried in the dressing room, a few in fact. I will cry later because it’s so amazing.”

I really want to report these people, but every time I look at their post history there's enough to make me think they could have made an honest mistake...

This was also my first time betting on Women's football, even if I only put it down on earlier matches. Finals came at fork timing so I am all out of bets for a week.

Hope women's football comes into its own again. Did you know they used to have more supporters coming to matches in England than men's?

awesome u got it

will upgrade you to a full founder member free for life Smiley

Sweetness. Feeling so special all of a sudden. I'll be dropping by every now and then to check on the site. It's definitely got potential... but the same can be said of many. Few who make good on early promise, so let's see what you got =)

A trading analysis does not actually have anything scientific. Grin It is not a question of applying a formula and poof! We're all rich cool
If you do not understand the technical analysis, I invite you to learn about the definition of speculation.

After the TA is like for everything ... when it does not work we are looking for why (the Guide of Life 101).

I don't think there are many pros here, so we make each to our sauce, the ideal being with good humor and sharing.

It's a skill in itself, to say a lot without committing to anything, like this TA successfully did! But you're right, we all understand how speculation works and I myself enjoy dabbling but I've learnt not to ask why after it (eventually) fails. Keep sharing the good humour.

Looks like I called another underdog win, the Austria - Denmark semifinal is on. Now that's a real tricky one because both shouldn't have reached that stage, but I see Denmark progressing to the final. From the other end, let's look for yet another upset as Netherlands should beat England to set up a neutral-favourite Dutch-Danish final!
17446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the last day panic. on: July 31, 2017, 02:55:51 PM
That's interesting. The panic seems to be taking hold and people are selling... but prices are actually climbing and demand isn't slipping. The highest online LBC sell offer I can see now is 2850. And seems to be slowly upping every 15 minutes or so.
17447  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 31, 2017, 12:13:19 PM
There is no how it works video? because I'm unable to make it work through the site and I can't find anything about it on YouTube, unless Its hosted somewhere else you might want to check that out.

You're not sure what to do or you couldn't proceed? Where did you encounter the error? Site loads fine for me. It still gives a different session and address with different sessions, so seems to be in order.
17448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥🔥110$ MONSTERBYTE daily Giveaway added - Joca97 & Ajaxmoor's Big Picks thread on: July 31, 2017, 09:55:39 AM
I have not been a fan of any other cryptos for gambling except for bitcoin. Have used ETH at times, but I only stick to bitcoin and fiat as they satisfy my needs. Lately the transaction fees has been the only issue.

An update , if you guys have been following the Monsterbyte ICO, it is very likely to be sold out this week. 95% has been sold with only 5% remaining. There was also an article on Forbes about it : www.forbes.com/sites/darrenheitner/2017/07/28/more-than-8-million-tokens-sold-in-gambling-ico/

which has been a great milestone for the project.

I will be announcing a new contest later today. So make sure to check this and the giveaway thread soon!

I have been following Monsterbyte - am a small investor myself, being somewhat familiar with their suite of sites. That's a huge jump from what I saw yesterday when it was 84%. Guess the Forbes article really brought in new people. Always looking forward to your contests!

Hey there. Cute store. Some items priced all right, others about 3 times more for the same item (different design)? Anyway, what's a custom toilet roll gonna cost? Always wanted to get one, if the Bitcoin price is right. Can reply me in PM if you wish.
17450  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 31, 2017, 07:12:42 AM
As informed 13 days ago, due to Aug 1 hardfork, ChipMixer will be closed from July 31 till situation get stable.
I'm glad I have the next 3 days off work so I can keep an eye on things... It sure is going to be an interesting couple of days Wink

I honestly think that BCC is going to dump hard as everyone trades it out to try and make some extra BTC... I honestly don't see it surviving as viable cryptocurrency

Speaking of, I wonder if ChipMixer is thinking of a mixing business for BCC? From a purely commercial aspect, all the mixers will have an almost equal amount of BCC as a base, no extra capital needed... although that probably needs some pre-mixing on its own. I imagine most will prefer to increase their base by selling off the alt.
17451  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin & Crypto Trading membership website - buythefuckingdips.com on: July 31, 2017, 06:51:28 AM
Don't worry about the name. I'd rather have a buytheeffingdips than another BuyTheBitCo.in or similar name. If it's a niche you want, you're on the right track. Fallout-inspired theme? That'll be fun if you have a graphic artist down the line.

17452  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: July 31, 2017, 06:44:46 AM
Actually, going to church and praising <insert god> is a really effective way for some people to earn money. Also, if no one went to earn money, where do you think the church would get the funds to feed the priests and gold chalices? But wait, what's that about the Illuminati being responsible for Bitcoin? *shocked self- realisation".
17453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥🔥110$ MONSTERBYTE daily Giveaway added - Joca97 & Ajaxmoor's Big Picks thread on: July 30, 2017, 08:06:40 PM
Missed out a good win, but I emptied out the last of my sportsbooks today, just wanting to secure my BTC so I'll probably not bet on anything until 8 August (yeah, overly cautious). Not going to stop me making my own predicts though. @both ops: Do you use any other crypto besides BTC and where? I half-considered converting some alts.
17454  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning ! Awesome Ponzi/Pyramid Idea - Read and avoid similar sites on: July 30, 2017, 07:51:02 PM
I actually like signing up to ponzi scams to see what people are falling for these days. I have to admit, it does get quite creative (or I am truly outdated!). It also helped me save a friend from losing $20.

There's a few sites that claim to exploit BTC and send it to you for free, because they're Anonymous and want to spread their message. So you go on a site and click a button and an animation shows up, purporting to scan ports for up to an hour before successfully finding an exploit, and sweeping balances to you. Then, when it's all over, they ask you to spend some coins to them to pay the "miner's fee".

It's a fixed amount every time, and if you check the address, people fall for it every few days.

A friend texted me out of the blue some time later asking if I still used Bitcoin and if he could please have a few coins, he'd transfer me some cash. I said sure. He tells me the address and the amount.

I recognised it immediately as it was the same exact amount I recall and told him bro dude, welcome to the Internet. Explained everything and he had his first introduction.
17455  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-30] Roger Ver Claims SegWit Transactions are “Unfairly Cheap” due to... on: July 30, 2017, 07:16:03 PM
Everyone likes a pot shot but this kind of cherry picking will usually, eventually, work both ways. I can't remember how often I am caught out by saying something contrary to what I said yesterday or last year anyway.

With that morality disclaimer aside, I would like to express my outrage at central subsidy of BCC, unless... fees on larger blocks will actually be higher?
17456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's EURO 2017 Discussion and Prediction Thread on: July 30, 2017, 05:42:34 PM
Yikes. I actually thought the odds weren't too poor for the Germany win but only saved myself a loss because I emptied out all my sportsbooks to wait for Aug 1. Seventh time unlucky for the holders after all.

It's going to be Netherlands England, and then Denmark Austria shall I say? 10 minutes left on the clock and scoreless AUSTRIA - SPAIN.
17457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting | Current pot: £400 - £20 buy-in on: July 30, 2017, 05:36:34 PM
Finally, we got our 400 pound pool. Been keeping a 0.011 for this for a while now. Let's hope nothing too spectacularly terrible happens to BTC next week! @OP did you ever get the PM I sent you sometime last week?
17458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT mathematically limited to twenty one million bitcoins on: July 30, 2017, 03:54:36 PM
Basically, what we just need to do is reflect more accurately that Bitcoin is not immune to inflation due to a hard cap, since divisions of units is always going to be possible, if there is consensus. No matter, we've learnt to stop thinking Bitcoin is anonymous, we can adapt to this concept too.
17459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 03:50:54 PM
I was just thinking about this. At the time of the split, there will be X BTC plus fees waiting to be confirmed. When the original chain finally confirms all these coins, it will already have a higher circulation than BCC. I'll be really interested in seeing how many txs the first few BCC blocks will get. At 2MB, will any even be full?
17460  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price after fork on: July 30, 2017, 01:12:52 PM

Bitcoin as it is right now will just keep growing further once we're past certain obstacles that till this day are still holding it back. BCC is an altcoin that deserves a very high spot on the shitcoin list. The only reason for people to be excited about BCC, is because of the fact that 'free money' rolls into their pockets without doing anything. It's certain that at the first stage there will be thousands of people looking to get rid of their BCC's (rightfully so), where obviously the extremely poor orderbooks have no liquidity to eat through all the dumps. I personally will prefer to keep waiting till the initial dumping fest has stopped, because I want to get the most out of this (at this point still potential) opportunity. If the time is right, I'll convert all BCC's to BTC, and have everything directly sent to my cold wallets. Smiley

I'm definitely not going to be doing anything. BCC price will be interesting to follow, but purely out of curiosity. I am just hoping BTC weathers through what's undoubtedly going to be heavy movement. Once that happens and the dust moves on to other forks, I'll have a look at BCC and see if it's worth anything. I won't have anything much to make a difference really.
