What is the size of the coin? Comparable to the nickle?

I don't have the exact measurements, but they are closer to the size of a dime.

As you may have noticed, I've been spending a lot of time diversifying NASTY MINING and finding new donation sources outside of our typical mining operation.  Diversification has taken the form of obtaining assets on BitFunder, participating in group buys, developing new services, and even taking out a loan denominated in BTC.  Finding new donation sources outside our main operation is also important.  That is why I started a fee-free pass-thru on BitFunder and gave my blessing to Carnth to run a pass-thru on BTCT where 1% of all donations received are sent back to NastyFans.  This brings us to my latest fund raising effort.  On July 31st, I paid to have 1,000 NastyFans 1g silver coins made.  For each of these coins sold, BTC0.01 will be donated to NastyFans.  This is also a pilot program for a much larger and more exciting product, which will also have profits donated to NastyFans.  If you would like to help support this fundraiser for NastyFans and pick up some silver in the process, check out my thread in the Goods section:
[WTS] NastyFans 1g .999 Fine Silver Collector's Rounds (2013)

This is really cool, but I'm wondering why you are being so generous. It looks like nearly all the the profits are being donated. Were some seats sold to organize/pay for this? If so, that's a really interesting diversification and another thing that is unique to the nastyfans group and would justify the extra donations to the fanclub.

I am generous to NastyFans because that's what I am, and that's who I care about.
17523  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] NastyFans 1g .999 Fine Silver Collector's Rounds (2013) on: August 14, 2013, 05:25:27 PM
Is this a limited run? Are they dated?

They are dated using an encoded message in the form of binary.  Those 0's and 1's around the edge read 2013 using a popular binary to text converter.  1,000 coins will be minted this year, and THESE coins will not be made after 2013.
17524  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | ASIC + Scrypt BTC/NVC/LTC/NMC/IXC/DVC on: August 14, 2013, 05:13:46 PM
Why is the share price for the PT at btct so high (0.005) compared to the price of the full seat (0.33)?

Things always cost more in smaller quantities.  You are also paying a premium to cover the exchange listing costs and the issuer's time spent.  I think in time, the price of a full seat will rise to meet the micro-share price.  At which point the micro-share prices will most likely rise.

17527  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Everybuggy's talking about SBSS at the Silverbug Clubhouse. on: August 13, 2013, 04:41:45 PM

Hey Amagi, any plans to get more SBSS Cannabis?

I believe that the Cannabis coins you are referring to weren't actually part of the official Chris Duane SBSS collection and were minted by his partner who turned out to be a scammer running a virtual bank.  Same situation with the originally released "come and take them" coins.  As you can see from the "come and take them" re-release of the official coin, you can expect the official SBSS Cannabis coins to go on sale in about 2 weeks (my guess).
17528  Economy / Goods / Re: [9/10][US GROUP BUY] Casascius 1oz Silver Bitcoin Rounds (2013) on: August 13, 2013, 04:36:28 PM
My most stress free way to send a single coin anywhere in the world is to put it in a CD mailer with a sub-envelope in the middle, with staples, so it stays in the center.

I have never been told of one being opened or assessed customs, as I presume it flows with letter mail.  It doesn't look interesting.  If you are a customs agent looking for valuable items to assess tax on, where are you going to spend your time, the boxes and items that have been insured or couriered or registered, or are you going to fish through and rip open (and retape) hundreds of thousands of pieces of untracked regular letter mail in case it contains a small valuable object?

Of course, the flip side is if the buyer says he never got it, he could be lying, and it's untracked, so you don't know.  However the conscientious buyer ought to prefer getting it as letter mail at his own risk, since his "expected value" from possibly not paying VAT is probably greater than the negative expected value of the risk of loss.

I used to ship silver this way all the time without any issues.  However, since I was reselling your products I wanted them to be tracked and I wanted to be honest about the contents.  Telling USPS you're shipping silver overseas is like trying to get through airport security with a bottle of water...
17529  Economy / Goods / Re: [9/10][US GROUP BUY] Casascius 1oz Silver Bitcoin Rounds (2013) on: August 13, 2013, 03:14:35 PM
10 coins have been ordered.  I have 1 remaining if anyone would like to buy it.

I will have it, if you managed to find a stress free way to send to UK.

I'm sticking to US only for now. Either my post office is the strictest in the country or everyone is lying about the contents to ship silver to the UK.
17530  Economy / Lending / Re: [10% REPAID] NASTY MINING: 500GH/s Miner Loan on: August 13, 2013, 03:12:51 PM
Are you still taking more investments or is this fully funded? Also, is 10BTC the minimum to invest?

It's fully funded and in the process of being repaid. Maybe I'll look to get another if there is a large enough interest.

I would be willing to offer 9 coins for 9/20 the price and throw in capsules so they can be remailed.

PM me with details and lets make it happen.

Hey,
If this doesn't get any more orders soon can I cancel my pre order? Just wondering, seems like not many people are interested in buying one.

I can refund if you'd like.  I'll go ahead and place the order as soon as we get 2 more buyers though if you can wait.

Did you look at the Middlecoin pool? It switches to the most profitable altcoin.

No.  I'm happy with our current pool setup.  That sounds cool though.

Update:
NastyFan Akka has donated a 5970 GPU to NASTY MINING.  This fills our GPU rig and I was able to get it running tonight.  After some thought, I decided to abandon FeatherCoin.  It appeared to be a less profitable clone of LTC, and I don't think we need to support it.  So we are now focusing our Scrypt mining on LiteCoin and NovaCoin.  The FTC we had mined is in the process of being exchanged for LTC.
17540  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Selling 500GH/s BFL ASIC Minirig (in hand) on: August 07, 2013, 05:38:38 AM
500 BTC.  Details sent via PM.  We meet up in person somewhere between Coachella & Blythe to make the exchange.

EDIT: Offer good for 24 hours.
