I've received tracking numbers for 5 of our 60GH/s miners from BFL. It won't be long now...

If we're going to be mining LTC as well how will donations work? Will they only be in BTC?
Alt coins will be saved until further notice. There is a plan in the works that will eventually be developed into a way to redeem mined alt coins. However, that is several months off. As an update to our LTC Miner... It arrived and one of the 7970s was not functional while the other had overheating problems. The seller has agreed to take the cards back and send us 2 new 7970s. I'll let everyone know once it is mining away.

If you have a Single Upgrade (trade-in) purchased anytime in June, you should consider sending it in so we are ready to ship your Single. I am trying to email those people now. I'll contact Jody to get the necessary shipping information tomorrow and send ours in. Sounds like next week is going to be very exciting for us. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) EDIT: I disconnected the FPGAs to be sent in for upgrades. I will be sending them in to BFL tomorrow (Friday).

It seems that the Singles are not shipping with a power-brick according to this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=236794.0 I'm not sure or this is an anomaly or what, but in any case it's news to me! OgNasty, were you aware of the need for several PSU's? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I was aware that the first one shipped with no power brick. I'm still waiting until I get some kind of word from BFL about the situation. If we do need PSUs, I will run out and buy them or order them and get a good deal online if there's time. EDIT: Looks like early orders will indeed be shipping without power bricks. I'll start looking at PSU options.

This is fairly typical with P2Pool actually.
Is the BFL ASIC having the same issues the FPGAs did with p2pool? The BFL ASIC doesn't seem to be having any problems with P2Pool. UPDATE:You can now see our mined alt coins (being saved indefinitely) on the OP. In addition, I have negotiated a very good deal to purchase a GPU mining rig next week so NASTY MINING can begin mining scrypt based coins as well. This will allow us to begin mining LTC to further diversify our operation. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F178.77.97.68%2Fstats%2Fnmc.png&t=663&c=2LI_dV1IUcoskg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F178.77.97.68%2Fstats%2Fdvc.png&t=663&c=u1Kqe9uMMaY_tw) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F178.77.97.68%2Fstats%2Fixc.png&t=663&c=OAzlu9LO-6QnMA) I have also been made aware of BFL's Customer Appreciation Chip Credit Program and will be attempting to sell our credits to raise some more funds for our holdings. If anyone is interested in buying any BFL chip credits, feel free to PM me. EDIT: I received a ton of offers for our Chip Credits. I took the best one I received, which was for 6 BTC. I paid 8 BTC for our LTC mining rig (x2 7970s), so I think we did OK considering this was an unexpected gift from BFL.

Rejects are over 10% today! Ouch. ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) This is fairly typical with P2Pool actually. It isn't such a big deal because we're competing against other P2Pool users for payouts that are experiencing the same high rejects due to how P2Pool works (adjusting difficulty to find a block every 10 seconds). Right now for example I'm showing that P2Pool as a whole is experiencing a 16% DOA rate on submitted shares while we are only seeing a 13% DOA rate, so we are actually above average and this is working to our advantage. This is most likely due to hosting our own P2Pool server on our local network. More info about how P2Pool works here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool

UPDATE:Bitcointalk user & BitFunder.com owner Ukyo has been kind enough to donate 1,000 shares of Graet.Loan to NASTY MINING! I can't thank him enough for this extremely generous action. I've decided to purchase an additional 2,020 shares, as Graet runs Ozcoin and I believe this is a safe and lucrative use of our savings. You can check to see exactly what holdings we have on BitFunder using the Public Asset Holdings List and searching for our address (1NASTYfxUpKPwin7b1KTBFjeeofrLSgXDJ). I will also keep the OP updated with any changes. I have full confidence with BitFunder securely holding a portion of our savings and have been very impressed with the features they offer, such as automatic reinvestment (which I have enabled). Thanks again to Ukyo & BitFunder.com!

The very first Single SC 60gh/s unit was shipped out on Tues 06/11/2013 during the 5 o'clock hour...There were maybe 8 Singles that had been built and tested while I was there, most of which did not have any problems getting into the 60gh range, even with un-binned chips, so no one should worry about getting a device with less than their ordered hashrate. I hear that 2 Single SC's shipped. BFL is shipping Single SCs. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) EDIT: No word on ours yet, but they did say they are shipping customer units and I hold the first customer order... So keep your fingers crossed.

I just noticed this now, but, how is it that 2000+ new seats were added between 2013-04-26 and 2013-05-03?
2013-05-03 19:30:30 0.00027138 9608 234376 [transaction] 2013-04-26 19:22:10 0.00040435 7574 233291 [transaction]
There are 25,000 total seats and they will eventually all be receiving donations. They are being released to the market in a way that continues to increase the MH/s per seat as more equipment comes online in order to provide steady growth for existing seats. With the number of seats and ordered equipment, an increase to 24MH/s per seat is the current expectation. You can track our hashing power per seat on the OP, or by viewing the below image. HASHING POWER:![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F178.77.97.68%2Fstats%2Fnasty_hrps.png&t=663&c=Pbsg7YZGa5CDCQ)

Og, do you know if your jalapeno is eligible for the 2 GH/s upgrade BFL is now offering? Hopefully its just a firmware update and yours is capable of having it applied to it.
I don't know, but I'll keep my eyes and ears open. If faster firmware becomes available I'll definitely test it out.

OG, have you looked into doing a group buy for avalon ASIC chips? Buying the ASICminer block erupters is a huge ripoff, but these chips aren't too pricey in a group buy. A user named Steamboat on here has a really nice looking group buy, and also has a company sourced to produce the Klondike 16 open source PCB. it is only ~ 1.376 BTC for 16 chips for one of the K16 boards. Each board would give 4.5GHash. The cost for the PCB and other necessities is about 100$ each Link to the group buy is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=192916.0He is already on his fourth group buy batch for the chips. I bought some for myself, but seeing as I just bought some seats for your fan-group, I thought you might have interest. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) If it's only 1.376 BTC plus assembly expenses for 4.5 Ghps that would be a fair price en quite competative. I think it would be a good cause for the current BTC holdings, and with no need to sacrifice BFL orders. I do share TradeFortress's opinion that BFL won't be delivering "very soon", since they have been "very close" for a couple of weeks already, but they keep running in to (unforseen) problems. Regardless how soon BFL will start shipping, if we want to stay competitative and keep expanding, using the current funds to buy other ASICs seems to me like the best idea. Because ordering from BFL now would put us in the back of line and even with the most optimistic estimates those orders would be shipped in a couple of months at best. So any ASIC in that pricerange that can provebly be shipped "very soon" seems like a good bet, wether or not this is is sooner than BFL or not. Don't those chips use something like 10X the power as BFL's equipment per GH/s? Last time I checked (admittedly has been a while), I determined that there is a good chance those chips won't even be profitable once BFL ships their backlog and difficulty/price adjusts to the new reality. I have no interest in buying equipment for this operation that will be useless in less than a year. There are others chasing hash rates for quick gains, we are in this for the long haul and are in a great position to benefit from the 600GH/s that has already been ordered. I've also been in contact with BFL and there is a better than average chance we will be sending in some of our singles later this week... Just be patient a little longer. The ASIC race is just beginning. Panic buying inferior equipment now will almost certainly prove to be a bad investment once more products enter the market.

We will not have BFL ASICs "very soon", we might have it in 2 months or so but not very soon.
I disagree and repeat that we will have more BFL ASICs very soon.

One question - will Nasty be using p2pool? If so, how will merged mining be handled? This appears to be a better choice than relying mainly upon normal pools.
NASTY MINING is already using P2Pool on a local Linux machine. NastyFans.org also has it's own P2Pool server and you can even connect to it and help mine. We aren't currently merged mining, but how proceeds from alt coins would best be handled is a great question. A lot of work needs to be done before I can give you a great answer. P2Pool and merged mining definitely pose some interesting possibilities that have been contemplated at great length. "url" : "nastyfans.org:9332", "user" : "Donate", "pass" : "Password"
I think that < 10GH\s for 51.99BTC is a good offer.
My only concern is that at current difficulty the ROI on this would be at least 4 months. But by this time we could have more BTC for the upgrades. My concern is that we are not mining and therefore we have no purchasing power. And BFL has let down its customers so many times... I don't think that 10GH/s for 52BTC is a good offer. Exhausting our savings on an inferior product for 10GH/s is a bad idea. BFL will begin delivering very soon and all ROI estimates will be thrown out the window.

Good. Can we please get an update what are our next steps, what hashrate\seat we are expecting in the coming weeks given BFL is shipping in the next ten days or so ? Cheers!
I'd rather not speculate until we have BFL products in hand, especially since I haven't received a request to send back our current singles yet. However, if I must... Since we hit our 1MH/s per seat goal with the FPGAs, my next goal would be to increase that to at least 10MH/s per seat with the first batch of ASICs. Once all of our ordered equipment arrives, we should be over 20MH/s per seat, and hopefully much higher when we choose to spend our BTC holdings on more equipment. Right now with the price of currently available ASICs, I think building up a savings and waiting for the opportune moment to reinvest is the path we should take while waiting for BFL to ship our current orders.
