I was offered a ~9 BTC refund as compensation for my ~$10,000 order.   Embarrassed

Edit: Ordered directly from BA
17762  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cost of Hosting Mining Equipment - Feedback Wanted on: April 24, 2014, 03:58:53 PM
this is going to depend largely on location. data centers in BFE Kansas are going to be cheaper than downtown DC

The location would be in Northern California.  I'm not sure that matters so much since people would most likely have to ship their units to a datacenter anyway...  However, physical pickup of devices anywhere between Phoenix, San Diego and Reno is a possibility.
17763  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Save Gox on: April 24, 2014, 02:58:00 PM
This save gox campaign was a joke.  Offering 1 BTC?  I don't know who is more foolish, the people trying to make a name for themselves with this ridiculous offer, or the idiots who believed this scenario was possible...

Um, OK, I was only trying to understand what you want so as to answer you properly

I want answers to the following questions.

What options are available for equipment hosting at the moment?

What costs would you be willing to pay to have your Bitcoin mining equipment hosted?
17765  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cost of Hosting Equipment - Feedback Wanted on: April 23, 2014, 03:12:42 AM
Why do you need to host them at a datacenter?

I don't need to host in a datacenter.  I'm simply looking for answers to my questions.  Speculation on my intentions is unnecessary.   Tongue

I should have a couple working boards in the office tomorrow morning, hopefully I will have something up for demo by the evening time.

I don't want to let any cats out of bags just yet, but the initial reports on power usage on the RevB are apparently even better than our best estimates. If the power is what we are seeing in the lab on an actual board, there's going to be some mighty happy people in the near future. I'm not counting the chickens until I have a board in my hand and a kill-a-watt plugged into the wall, though... so keeping fingers crossed.

Looks like we should be hearing some good news soon.  Smiley
17767  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: April 23, 2014, 01:54:00 AM
Dear customers,

As many know our support ticket system is very busy. It has come to our attention that some customers have opened many tickets asking the same questions or regarding the same issue. We would greatly appreciate it if only one ticket is opened per question and that in that ticket it is clear what needs to be done. This would help us to improve both the quality of support as well as let us answer tickets faster. Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,

Black Arrow support

What about when we open a ticket asking about a refund and then you close the ticket with no response?  Should we just assume you don't give a fuck about your customers or open another ticket?  At this point, I don't know if miners are going to show up at my door or if I'll receive a refund or what...
17768  Economy / Service Discussion / Cost of Hosting Mining Equipment - Feedback Wanted on: April 22, 2014, 09:43:17 PM
I am wondering what the cost to host mining equipment is.

What options are available for equipment hosting at the moment?

What costs would you be willing to pay to have your Bitcoin mining equipment hosted?
17769  Economy / Securities / Re: COGNITIVE Mining, continued. on: April 21, 2014, 11:17:45 PM
When I contacted him asking if he needed my help with hosting, or if he was willing to sell the units to help recover funds for Cognitive.  I was told the units were 20 BTC each and he wasn't willing to negotiate a deal to allow me to bail out anyone who may want to continue on with a more worthwhile Bitcoin mining project.
17770  Economy / Services / Re: How they are delivering those likes? on: April 21, 2014, 06:52:03 PM
Think they just have a lot of hacks or compromised computers build up a trust net
And then have those robots like something
Probally some farming

You think if you purchase a packet with likes it will be bad for your facebook page?
Any other suggestions?

BR,

Gondel

I can't see how it could be good...  It only inflates your like count with fake likes that don't care about your page.  Basically just making it so you never know how many people are actually interested in what you're doing.  I'd advise you to spend that money on something that may actually be useful to whatever it is you're promoting.

Have you tried the rosted nuts? if not you should Wink

I second this.  The honey caramels are great, but the honey roasted nuts are out of this world.

How long does it usually take to get the first satoshis into this coin?  A friend of mine got this coin a month ago but claims it is still empty.

That depends on a multitude of factors (p2pool luck, coin sales, pool usage, network difficulty, etc.)...  We are waiting on the next batch of upgraded ASICs, so I assume donations will be rising quite a bit in the next few weeks.  You can check the coin's balance prior to it hitting the payout threshold at any time by logging into your account at NastyFans.org.  If you don't have an account at NastyFans.org, you can sign up and use nastyfans.org/post to post a message with the coin's address and your username to have the coin linked to your account.

Very nice looking coin.  Hopefully a few more reviews with pictures will come in. Great job though!

There are a few more pics on page 2 of the thread if you missed those.  Although, I'm always happy to have people post more.  Smiley

I had some items made.  They arrived quickly, safely, and were well packed.  The quality was as good as you can ask for.  Great vendor.

Asking price lowered to $275.

These reference style 7970s?

I have a reference, and 2 non-reference cards available.
