1781  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC > 1M ? on: June 13, 2023, 11:41:12 PM

If BTC would be 100% be adopted and legalized then who knows if we do see million a coin price.
But one things for sure, that this thing wont really be happening in our lifetime.

Unfortunately, there will always be resistance because of Bitcoin's imperfection, unbelievers will always target Bitcoin's imperfection like it's being used for money laundering.

I like the idea and I'm entertaining the idea of 1 million in my mind it's a good motivation to accumulate Bitcoin to the point you want to sell everything you've had.
Maybe the question should not be about Bitcoin going $1 million but when, so our motivation is to keep ourselves alive to witness that.
1782  Economy / Service Discussion / Post your local news outlet, exchange, marketplace that support Bitcoin on: June 13, 2023, 10:11:18 PM
You will only know your country is open and adopting Cryptocurrency if you have registered platforms that promote the usage of Bitcoin.

These are the leading platforms in my country that help spread awareness about Bitcoin and help the community to invest and trade Cryptocurrency

BITPINAS
BitPinas is a content website that promotes the sustained, positive growth of the Philippines FinTech Industry, especially cryptocurrency and blockchain, through information, news and education.

Coins.ph
The country's first digital exchange and probably the leader and first choice by the majority of holders in the Philippines

Abra
Abra operated on 4 continents and they have an active presence in my country

PDAX
Pdax is a new player but already generating support from the community

My country is now ranked 2nd when it comes to Crypto adoption
Quote
The Philippines ranked 2nd out of 146 countries in the latest edition of the 2022 Global Crypto Adoption Index produced by American-based  blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis. The index measures where the most people are putting the biggest share of their money into cryptocurrency.

Philippines places 2nd in the Global Crypto Adoption Index

How about you what are the platforms, like news aggregators, market aggregator,s and exchanges that support adoption in your country
1783  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits, $500,000 scam alert. on: June 13, 2023, 09:31:01 PM
they asked some more documents and i think it would be last thing, so maybe it will be resolved soon, i hope.
That's the good news - good for you, of course. I hope you get what you want and your case is resolved as it should be. Also keep this community updated on what happens next - but now that sounds good. Do not give up.
I don't want to bust OP's hope I'm also hoping that it will go in his favor if he really deserves it, asking for more documents are two things, they are not convinced on the first set of submissions so they are asking for more documents, second they are convinced but they ask for additional documents to fully establish OP's identity and pass without any doubts, and the KYC is successful, so it's still 50/50.

Quote
But I was just so shocked that it involved a lot of money - I mean $500,000 is a lot of money.
I will be shocked if it's not Duelbits and Stake or other top casinos in the industry, because Duelbits is capable of giving that amount.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: June 13, 2023, 01:58:11 PM

My question is where can I buy Bitcoin comic books that can catch the attention of children between the age of 7 to 11? I want something in comic or story book style and with full story about Bitcoin or related... I want to buy and wrap them up for the surprises.

You are limited to what you can teach to children about Bitcoin the investing side and volatility should be the last to learn and the books that you are going to give to your children should be created for kids, so check the introduction first, if it is really intended for kids.

If Bitcoin is already popular in your country check your local bookstore if they have the kind of books you're looking for, if not you have to check online, Amazon is the best place to check.

Another alternative is videos, we all love to watch cartoons on TV when we are young I'm sure children in this generation will love to watch videos so check Youtube for tutorials about Bitcoin made for kids I'm sure there are tons of videos that will come out.
1785  Other / Meta / Re: Offensive words on the forum on: June 13, 2023, 12:29:31 PM
I'm offended by people who are offended by words. Grow a thicker skin and enjoy freedom of speech, even for the people you disagree with.

Some people bring their sensitivity here, we have to be good at ignoring and letting things pass, it's ok if people distrust you or say nasty things to you, don't make a big deal out of it take a breather

And by the way, I check SOKO-DEKE post and I'm surprised that there are no offending words there from my point of view.

1786  Economy / Services / Re: GC HYIP Templates on: June 13, 2023, 09:31:34 AM
We've been warning people about investing in HYIP High-Yield Investment Program and members are tagging or reporting HYIPs' and yet you are here openly promoting your HYIP templates.

You are encouraging and helping scammers to scam people, HYIPs' are a fraudulent business platform
according to Investopedia.
Quote
A high-yield investment program (HYIP) is a fraudulent investment scheme that purports to deliver extraordinarily high returns on an investment.

HYIPs often advertise yields of more than 100% per year in order to tempt investors. They regularly use new investors' money to pay off long-standing investors. Monies received in such schemes aren't actually invested.

What Is a High-Yield Investment Program (HYIP)?

Anyone who's helping a scammer is considered a scammer too whether they are promoters, or template sellers like you.

1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 12, 2023, 09:30:54 PM

Isn't it undeniable that the boxing match was exceptionally thrilling? Lopez demonstrated that his skill is far from waning. However, allow me to introduce a note of skepticism here. Did you observe Taylor refraining from engaging in clinches? That is his forte. The departure from his usual strategy was a tad perplexing, wouldn't you agree? It seemed as if the referee was prohibiting Taylor from his tactical game as early as the first round, and this did not bode well for him.

The situation gave the impression that the referee was manipulating the match to favor Lopez. Lopez was thus relieved from the strenuous task of outmuscling and maintaining clinches to hinder Taylor's inside combat strategy. Hence, does the victory genuinely belong to Lopez, or did the referee's intercession shift the balance of the competition?

That's your observation but I don't see it that way, all I see is total domination they say in boxing it takes two to tango and style to make a fight, Lopez will not play Taylor's game he will impose his style and that's what actually happens.

In boxing, you are in big trouble if your opponent did not respect your power and that's what I saw, Taylor cannot hit him and Lopez hits him at will, in fact, he is punishing him.
Taylor took a lot of punishment he was frustrated going through the championship rounds.
I seldom see something like this a great champion taking too much punishment.

Based on the highlights of that fight: it was all Lopez, and the referee is not even doing anything
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTmgJ0CCfOs
No complaint from Taylor's camp everybody agreed that it was a total beating.
1788  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for low quality accounts [Member to Legendary] on: June 12, 2023, 08:52:18 PM
Yes, you read it right.

Inbounding a campaign for almost every account. [Ranking from member to Legendary]

Stand a chance to earn from $20 upto $200 for almost doing nothing.

This is too good to be true, offering cash for doing nothing always is a good way to attract attention but will question the scheme.

Quote
---- Allowed -----

- If account is inactive since a long time
- If account had bad quality posts
- If account has posts in language other than english

When you have these kinds of qualifications you can easily figure out that the campaign or whatever is not a high-quality campaign, bad quality posters do not even deserves to get pennies here.

1789  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This is A Press Release... on: June 12, 2023, 07:53:15 PM
I Google it for more relevant information, only press release sites are posting this new miner
but there's already Topics about this company about its reputation here in Bitcointalk

Company BITMANU and its Miners...

bitmanu-new asic scam

And there's also a review of this miner on this Youtube channel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tis8NFttp1A

Not many reviews on Trustpilot but all the reviews are negatives

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bitmanu.com

So from here, you can conclude that this miner and this company is dubious
1790  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Man Who Saw Tomorrow on: June 12, 2023, 12:08:48 PM
After Nostradamus, I would say that Satoshi is another man who saw the future. For instance, he predicted what is currently happening with bitcoin transactions many years ago. This is a quote I found on the forum.

Quote
"I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume." -- Satoshi

He predicted that his creation will be adopted or will be ignored based on that quote and the former is what is happening now.

One of the things that Satoshi overlooked is the use of a mining pool and ASIC hardware to gain an edge in mining.

He understands that his creation will have a direct conflict with the government system which is why he prefers to vanish and leave everything.
I think by leaving the main focus will be on his creation instead of the creator.
1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 12, 2023, 10:20:00 AM
^ We will see then, Teo Lopez is very young and obviously a lot of years from him to become a champion again or get another belt. So it's surprising to hear that he will retired after his huge win against Josh Taylor.

So let's see, again he might un-retire, maybe he will just have to fix everything up in his personal life and then when everything is straighten up, he can make a huge comeback.

It's unrealistic, he has no injury, he has no record to protect, and he is just building his legacy no experts will advise him to retire, it should be something personal we do not know what's happening in his personal life but it seems he wants all his effort and time to address his personal demon, and he doesn't want his personal struggle to interfere in his career.

For a boxer, the first to give up is the body I don't think his body is ready to retire, his body will want to be in the ring again, train and spar again, and the money and the prestige that goes with being a champion will call him out to fight again.

I'm sure he'll be back again after a year.
1792  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Stake.com trying to scam! on: June 12, 2023, 01:48:41 AM

P.S. I will definitely mention Stake in my suicide note...

Hi, welcome back to Bitcointalk good to know that you move on and forgotten about the suicide well I hope you realize that there is still life after what happened to your account on Stake, Covid is manageable now you can back to work or you are working now, you can now provide for your family forget about gambling for now because you are gambling within your means, it's not good for someone like you who has a tendency to commit suicide.

Still relevant :/

1793  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 11:02:44 PM
I'm holding back since there's mention of my name but prefer to wait for experts on this subject for their output and they did not fail me, they summarize what I have in my mind

Lol. Really? A new thread for this? I suggest OP to lock the thread and move on.
You really knew what's coming  Cheesy

We could have a topic of the subject and it will make a good discussion but OP made it specific and pointed out rby's action, so it becomes useless because it becomes retaliatory in nature and rby exposes OP's character, she could just ignore it.

Helena, The first thing you need to accept is that you don't take things like this too personally.

I also discourage this kind of subject it will backfire if you question a member's prerogative

I hope Helena can move on and lock this thread you are not on my distrust list, I agree with many of your posts and opinions here in Bitcointalk.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi nakamoto was there that is why BTC come to stay. on: June 11, 2023, 10:41:25 PM
I was thinking the sacrifices Satoshi nakamoto made in the past to break many protocol to ensure BTC come to stay and spread around the whole world
Satoshi Nakamoto did not break any protocol, any law when he/she/they made Bitcoin Protocol and mined the Bitcoin Genesis block.
But he did not foresee that in the future the use of mining pool and ASIC hardware in mining Bitcoin

Quote
Satoshi Nakamoto is a game changer so is Bitcoin but they all did not make anything illegal.
In an era where restriction, compliance, and taxation by the government are imposed, governments think Satoshi created something illegal, this could be the reason why he secluded himself he knows that he created a disruption in a system and he knows that it will be adopted so he left it open source for those who want to adopt and promote its usage.

Quote
In addition, legal and illegal are temporarily. Illegal in the past can be legal now or in future like sex industry, cannabis industry ... There are countries that does not accept or even prohibit Bitcoin now but they can change in future.
That's what exactly is happening now there is usage there is freedom and there is anonymity where privacy is a big concern Bitcoin came at the right time.
1795  Other / Meta / Re: Why is this system not set up for the Bitcointalk forum? on: June 11, 2023, 09:54:20 PM

- Why is email confirmation not requested during account registration? I have checked that it is possible to open a forum account with an email address that does not exist or has not yet been created.

It's uncommon for a user to register an account with an email that does not exist, the purpose of the email is for account recovery and getting updates about the platform

Quote
- Email OTP is not asked during password change. But why the OTP of the current email is not asked even when changing the account email address?
- There is a Secret Question facilities. which is work as a second password.  but anyone can remove it after logging in the account without giving any answer or verifying any OTP.
- Where all platforms have 2FA option for their users, why this forum has not put this option in the user account for security reasons.
This will compel us to use the strongest possible password for our account having a 2FA will not motivate us to use a strong password because we will be comfortable in thinking we have a 2FA to rely on in case there is an attempt on our account.

Quote
I don't understand why this is not in this forum where everyone including the admin knows these things.  And since the forum was created almost 14 years ago, why has this not been done yet?  Is there any secret behind it?
We already have the captcha to protect us from hackers, two things that can get your account in trouble and these are not putting the right security in your email and not using a strong password here in Bitcointalk.

If you think your account is very valuable to you then it's your initiative to put the best security in your email where hackers can get a shortcut to get access to your account, and using a strong password, I think Bitcointalk is telling us it's our business to protect our account, so the challenge is with us.
1796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: TokenWhistle App on: June 11, 2023, 08:26:37 PM
How come you posted it here in project development, the platform is fully developed and in fact, you are selling your own token, your wrong choice of the section is not going to help you promote your platform.

You have two choices since you have a presale of your token you can move or create a new announcement in the Altcoin announcement
or since you are offering a token listing and token promotion you can create one here
Altcoin service announcement

And to maximize your promotion here in Bitcointalk I encourage you to get a
Copper account

1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Include The Sport Spogomi In Their Platform on: June 11, 2023, 03:21:33 PM
I'm not so sure, odds providers will look at the fact  of can we make money adding this? The answer is most likely yes. People like to bet anything. Normal sports like baseball, soccer, cricket and , hockey and silly shit like elections and things of that nature. If the odds providers think there will be interest, they just may add this.

I've created this thread for awareness that there is a sport like this and it has it's own World Cup and at the same time the possibility that it could be included in casinos, we all know bettors bet on almost anything it may be included for gamblers to bet, it may not be now but who knows in the future.

It's one of the sports that is very unique and countries can easily adopt it, it may become one of the most popular sports, I discovered this sport when it was covered by one popular media.
1798  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa na namang Bitcoin negative publicity on: June 11, 2023, 02:09:15 PM

1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Can Casinos Include The Sport Spogomi In Their Platform on: June 11, 2023, 10:13:53 AM
Spogomi is the cleanest sport

Quote
SPOGOMI is a sport invented in 2008 by the representative of Social Sports Initiative,
Mamitsuka Kenichi, under the slogan,
"Trash pickup is a sport!

Do you think this sporting event has a chance to be included in sports betting, we already have sex sports and organizers are hoping that it will be accepted.

This event is worth considering because it encourages the recycling of waste materials and it's eco friendly.

In fact, there are 20 nations participating in the qualifier

Quote
Qualifying tournaments will be held in various countries around the world.
The winning team will qualify for the World Cup in Japan

I read different articles of newbie particular in beginners and help board and I notice that so many of the newbie have in mind that bitcointalk is an office to fetch and earn money.
~snip~

The fact is that many people find out about this forum through their friends or relatives who tell them how they earned something here, by just writing something on the forum. Unfortunately, there are countries where the salary is very low or there is not enough work for everyone, and I can understand that some people are looking for a lifeline in places like this forum.
The bounty section is the clear picture of this, so many members sign up here to do bounty works to get free tokens and hope these tokens will have value in the future, these newbie hunters do not have a clear understanding of this forum because they are inspired by early bounty hunters who made a lot from doing bounty works, so it's not surprising we have newbie accounts with over thousands of posts with no contribution to other section of this forum, they are confined to bounty section.
