17881  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Got my ROI some days ago... on: April 12, 2015, 07:02:39 PM
Wasn't the whole point to reach ROI when the price of btc goes up? As long as you aren't losing money you should at some point in the future reach an ROI regardless of your investment or current rate of profits.

the problem is that you need 5 months time to roi, it's a very long time for me, if those site run away, or anything like that, it would be a problem, there is always a risk involved
17882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this the end of bitcoin? on: April 12, 2015, 05:45:37 PM
last time i checked  current price(238) is different than zero, since when $238 is considered dead? bitcoin is just going through a difficult time, a long despair phase

and we surely don't need another incompetent like mtgox, mtgox is actually the culprit for the current price(at least partially), do you really want something like that again?
17883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and holding BTC without mining.. on: April 12, 2015, 05:39:17 PM
the difference is that, you will not increase your total bitcoin, by holding only, while with mining, if you manage to reach the roi point, you can earn more bitcoin than the amount you started with

If that's the case, then why not trade and make them?
I have seen people talking all the time to buy on rumors and sell on news, and if an average joe gets a good command on that, he might make a good living with BTC.

trading is more risky, instead mining can generate a guaranteed return in the end, if you have very cheap electricity and you paid a low amount for your miner
mining is equally risky. you have to take care of the management and the risk of hardware failures. bfl and gawminer has shown us how reliable mining manufacturers are. even if you have cheap electricity, the difficulty increase is unpredictable and you would still have chances of not getting roi thus making no profits.

i still see it as a less risky, you don't need to be a pro at mining, where for trading you really need to have some serious experience, or you will end up losing everything

mining is more noob friendly for sure, this is way many newbies ask for it
17884  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Got my ROI some days ago... on: April 12, 2015, 04:54:35 PM
well they seems legit, but can you resell your contract at some point or you are stuck with it until it end?

because i might be interested with that price per giga, and no maintenance cost too
17885  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 04:49:47 PM
absolutely yes, more easy money  Cheesy, i'm all in favor for it, and also it should not increase the spam, because it is included in the sig campaign, so 1 post for the sig will count for the avatar too, no one will post more just for the avatar
17886  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC again reach 400$+ on: April 12, 2015, 04:45:01 PM
I think that BTC will reach again 400$+ within the end of the year but now it isn't possible to see this price because there isn't many liquidity in the market.

Bitcoin has the potential and there a people - winklevii- that can blow it up with interest coming in from NY. However with the etf a seemingly long way away i would expect prices to hold around $2xx, with sideways action as usual Cheesy
It will be really slow for the rest of the year, a slow way up, then a big rally. I would say they need to hurry with the ETF but better be late and doing it right.

Someone was telling me the other day that by the end of this year.. the blocks will half and the price of bitcoins will become double. Don't know if that's true or not but wish it happens. Wish someone tells me if this is true or not Smiley

it's not true, the halving is expected by the end of 2016, not this year, but 400 should be achieved before that, i mean it's not that far away from the current price, and it isn't certainly impossible to reach it this year
17887  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 week target $160 on: April 12, 2015, 04:41:14 PM
...
Anyway, OP is running out of time, unless someone wants to dump a couple million dollars before 48 hours lol.

Highly improbable. Someone who would do this is either plainly dumb or stupid. $160 is kinda far as of the current times. Support is still holding on.

many tend to forget that support is also consisted of many whales that sold at the last good pump(300), all those guys are now supporting the 200 barrier, it will not fall to sub 200 ever, unless they want to
17888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe the blockchain in one sentence on: April 12, 2015, 04:38:51 PM
decentralized register of all transactions, that also function as the best online wallet
17889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and closing tax havens on: April 12, 2015, 10:16:50 AM
Shouldn't they be scratching their heads on how to tax anonymous bitcoin users?

Only a fool believes bitcoin is anonymous. Bitcoin users have all their financial history on the internet for anybody to see
Exactly bitcoin transactions are easily traceable and open, that's why the DEA agents were caught, using  the blockchain tracing back their bitcoin usage.

unless i'm missing something, with a mobile phone you can avoid being traced back, you just need to do a transaction and then move to another location, connecting to another wifi

many will take advantage of this and evade taxes
17890  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: April 12, 2015, 09:33:00 AM
a crazy thing to buy right now would be a pyramid where inside it there is a private key holding more coins than what you have payed for the pyramid

would be pretty cool to search for it too
Pyramids= Scam / Having very less probability to earn.
Can you give a link to where is this thing going on?

lol not a "pyramid" in the sense of a ponzi, but a real pyramid, where maybe the private key is inside a mummy's  sarcophagus or engraved on one of the wall inside the pyramid
17891  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Now foods Melatonin on: April 12, 2015, 08:30:08 AM
i'm interested in buying this supplement, for cheap(i can't find it on the web for a good price at the moment, and it is out of stock in many shop) if someone has it send me a pm

only good price and preferibly in euro zone
17892  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining on: April 12, 2015, 08:25:09 AM
i think you are searching for "renting hash" not cloud mining, the best i tried is miningrigrental, their support is excelletn, and for every problem with the rented machine they offer an automatic refund

average price is also great, and you have a great variety of algo to choose
17893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Support is holding! on: April 12, 2015, 08:19:08 AM
Do you mean you're supporting bitcoin by holding or something else? If so, I agree. I plan to hold my coins for a few years but in the hope I can spend them once they reach their true value. By holding longterm you're essentially taking coins out of circulation so theoretically that should help keep demand up especially if you're accumulating more along the way.

no he mean there is a great support right now, at 230-245 and we won't fall much farther

What ever happened to btc being stable between 220-300...lmao!

Bro you suck at this, just give up already!

For everyone else.. We'll see sub $200 in days if not a few weeks.

Just hold tight!

well it is stable, last time i checked 230-245 is in the range of 220-230, so no i was right, and like i said to you in that post, stable does not mean stuck at one value forever...

and i'm still holding yes or investing
17894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: Will the price of Bitcoin revisit the prior bottom at $166? on: April 12, 2015, 08:15:52 AM
it will stay at current price, for a while, with some up and down, destroying the 200 mark, isn't an easy task
17895  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sold at 450$ ? on: April 12, 2015, 08:13:51 AM
There's no guarantee that btc price will go up in the next 10 years. In fact, it can go down to pennies. Remember, what goes up, must come down.

if you look at the all-time chart you can see that bitcoin is actually rising(average rising) every day by a few cent, if this trend continue, bitcoin is aiming at going up and not certainly down
17896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Support is holding, they said on: April 12, 2015, 08:11:01 AM
those 3 months period between the dumping is intentional or it really happened? because i don't remember it at all

and also don't forget that the more down it goes the more difficult to dump

and you should do the same table, when the price rised too, people seems to forget fast about the pumping, but they always remember well the dumping

No, some flash huge dumps will take place lead us to $0 very fast when sub $150 be broken, the mining network will be shut down no transaction will get confirmed at all

don't make such trollish comment plz, there isn't any 0, zero is not possible, not now at least, because there is no competition with bitcoin(any altcoin is trash compard to btc), and miners won't dump until zero, they aren't that stupid, the same for many early adopters, who bought at $1+

I don't get why so many people are under that fallacy. Look, if someone who bought at $1200 is willing to dump at $600, why wouldn't someone who bought a $1 be willing to dump at $2?

If someone who bought at $600 is willing to dump at $300, why wouldn't someone who bought at $1 be willing to dump? Perhaps in 10 years we'd be considered early adopters now. There's nothing special about the really early adopters. They're humans as well.

you have not understood apparently, i didn't say that they are not willing to dump at x2 price, but that they cannot dump at a lower price, and btw you can't compare 1 to 2 with 300 to 600, there is a different gain, one is only $1 per btc, the seccond is 300 for every btc

example, who bought at $1 can't dump at zero, and no one based early miners adopters(which are different from early buyers adopters) would dump at 1

so zero is impossible, unless bitcoin is replaced by another currency
17897  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: s1 Revenue per day on: April 12, 2015, 07:48:31 AM
Hardware/physical mining is great especially being able to monitor it but depending on electric costs may not be economically possible to reach an ROI. Cloud mining is very risky with all the scams going but is much easier. So both have pros and cons just do your research.

true and with hardware you can mine or just sell it off to ROI instantly Cheesy

you can do the same with a contract, at least i know you can do it with bit-x, and with them you can resell at the same value, so you don't lose money on reselling, compared to physical hw
17898  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Got my ROI some days ago... on: April 12, 2015, 07:42:03 AM
Did you get ROI with an Cloud mining service? Or some ASIC?

Maybe be more specific.

I got ROI from various old hardwares S3 and KNC Jupiters, etc.

Got my ROI on Cloud Mining.
Because we have too much power fees in my country for an own rig.

did you resold the hashing power? the only way to reach roi fast is to sell your contract at 50% roi

also i can't find anything on their site, but does they charge a maintenance fee? because for example cex.io charge a very big fee for maintenance(like 0.5 btc month)
17899  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need to know more about cold storage on: April 12, 2015, 07:36:04 AM
first of all the wallet does not contain anything, but just private key that you need to access to your bitcoin in the blockchain

imagines that the wallet is like a bunch of keys and the blockchain is a chain of many safe box all connected, inside every safe box there are 25 btc(those 25 can belongs to multiple person)

now to retrieve those you need the correct key associated(or many keys for every box, if the btc inside it belongs to more than one person, which is usually the case)

if you have the key you can access the box with your funds and if your funds are splitted among many safe box, you need more key

so you actually never transfer anything to an offline wallet, you transfer them to the correct safe box, which your key is associated with

First, I though you meant "blocks" by saying "box", then when you said "keys", I understand you were saying about addresses. If it is, see below.

yeah was just an analogy, to make him understand faster

i like to compare the blochain to a chain of these

where inside there is the reward, and you need a private key(which in the safe box is a combination/key) to access your fund)

the only difference is that the blockchain is made of safe box that can be accessed by many people , so it's not just your

and therefore every "safe box" in the block chain has more combination/keys, one for every private key existing, that is associate to the reward inside it
17900  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could obsolete ASICs become expensive antiques one day? on: April 12, 2015, 07:30:27 AM
you could start to look at today old asic, are those considered expensive antique, and thus collectible? i don't think so, no one care about them anymore, they are like old MB, that are not necessarily anymore

instead of wasting time with those ancient miner,s they should re-use their part to build new one with better efficiency
