I am occasionally running into a lot of stale shares that are causing high numbers of rejects on certain pools.  Mining with a BFL Single farm.  It would be great if the load-balance option automatically switched away from any pool that was getting stale shares until the next block.
17922  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Singles Order Date / Ship Date on: August 18, 2012, 11:18:41 PM
My 6/19 order arrived today.
17923  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] NASTY - Free Electricity, GPUMAX.com, Free ASIC Upgrade! on: August 18, 2012, 11:14:04 PM
Awesome need new income now BTST stopped Cheesy
If pirate gives the money back I expect shares on GLBSE to rise because ppl will look at new things to invest in.
Interesting times for sure.

I think you're probably right.  Now that BTCST is closing up shop, I imagine there is a large hole in the Bitcoin world for investments.  If he does return the funds, GLBSE will be flush with cash and that is definitely bullish for listings that aren't connected to BTCST in any way (such as NASTY).

UPDATE: 2 more BFL Singles have arrived!  We are now operating at over 5.6GH/s.
17924  Bitcoin / Pools / Why don't more pools offer Anonymous mining by address? on: August 18, 2012, 07:29:10 PM
It would be nice if there were other options that included not just PPS but DGM as well.

Pools that do offer it:

Has pirate announced if the closure of BS&T will affect GPUmax?

Yes.  In the irc chat he mentioned this would allow him to concentrate on GPUmax and should result in significant improvements in the near future.  I believe he also said he would invite another round of members sometime in September.
17926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Savings & Trust closing! Effect on market? on: August 18, 2012, 06:40:53 PM
Because some people think the investors might sell (If they get btc back) because possibly the only reason they bought the bitcoins was to make huge amounts of interest from his scheme.
Ok...I appreciate the reply...I just don't understand the basis for that. Why would they need to immediately cash out to USD? A lot of people are sitting on 0% interest BTC investments. Even if you're not getting interest from Pirate, it's still going up against the dollar - even in the face of this drop we're still way up. I just don't know why it would be a given that people would want to immediately dump after getting their funds back.

Profit?   Huh
17927  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] NASTY - Free Electricity, GPUMAX.com, Free ASIC Upgrade! on: August 18, 2012, 05:35:36 PM
A dividend of BTC6.9 has been paid.

Note: An explanation of why this week's dividend dropped while our hashing power increased...  When the new singles arrived, I took our rig offline while I restructured everything to make room for future singles.  Once it was all set back up, I auto-tuned the new singles, which kept the rig offline a little longer.  Then, when it was operational, I noticed we were getting unusually high reject rates (as high as 10% for nearly 2 days) that appeared to be due to some issues with one of our pools.  I resolved the issue and we are now back to reject rates around 0.4%.  I'm also hoping the mail brings us 2 more BFL Singles today, so next week's dividend should be significantly higher, as our issues are now resolved and the setup already has space/power for the new units.

Who's buying with me?
17929  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What is the current investor emotion now? on: August 18, 2012, 04:02:51 AM
This thread should list all the stages and people can change their votes as they feel the investor emotion change.  Then it would be a decent indicator.
17930  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: ★ PAYING 8-10% MONTHLY INTEREST ON DEPOSITS ★ on: August 18, 2012, 12:32:15 AM
Due to the news of BTCST closing, I have requested all funds from the account and will be returning them to depositors as soon as received.

I will be looking into options to keep the program running in one form or another, but most likely I will close this program down to focus on NastyMining.  Thank you to all my depositors.

UPDATE:
Bitcoin Savings & Trust is officially in default and the reserve fund has been paid out to depositors.

I just received word that 2 more of our singles have shipped.  We should be over 5.5GH/s within a week.   Grin
17934  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Singles Order Date / Ship Date on: August 15, 2012, 09:10:49 PM
I received my 5/22 order.

You can also add these 2 orders for me.

2 Singles on 6/13
2 Singles on 6/19

Looks like my above post was missed.  The 6/13 order shipped yesterday.
17935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we break $12.67 today? on: August 15, 2012, 04:07:43 PM
I thought it would be fun if I posted the thread and then broke $12.50 myself but someone beat me to it!

Updated the question for the next wall...
17936  Economy / Speculation / Do we break $13 this month? on: August 15, 2012, 03:57:11 PM
What do you think?  Looks like the wall is crumbling down.

*Poll reset on December 3rd.

Thanks Smiley Any news or things things pretty much the same?

I've just received word from Butterfly Labs that 2 more of our BitForce Singles have shipped.  I'll have them hashing away before the weekend.
17938  Economy / Goods / Re: I want to buy .999 Fine Silver in CALIFORNIA OR NEARBY STATES on: August 12, 2012, 07:56:14 AM
Any local pawn shop will be your cheapest option.  There is no tax on silver and they only accept cash.

A dividend of BTC8.5 has been paid.
17940  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 0.01 bot indicator on: August 08, 2012, 01:27:07 PM
I've actually thrown 0.01 trades out on the exchange in the opposite direction of the larger order I've placed, just to bait people into taking my order by taking advantage of this exact "indicator" in the past.  Manipulation runs deep sometimes.  There are no perfect indicators.  Trade safely friends.
