Meanwhile, AntiOps was confused by the awkward change to his penis melting uncontrollably. Vanilla Ice perfume spritzed onto cheese and greasy slime covered with babies boiled in a smelly old heatsink. But it tasted like shit therefore it poisoned his blood although he did survive. Reproductive organisms attacked the internal testicle which caused terrible congestion somehow. When I was younger, I worked my up to 20, then switched hands to do 20 more. I was inspired to do such after watching the first Rocky movie. Took me about two weeks to get it accomplished, then gave it up for lent. (made up the lent part)

Once, while blackberry picking, I found an old barbwire fence with the last strand right at 4'6" off the ground toward the bottom of a hill that had to be navigated to via a narrow path through a thicket. I used to run down the hill and scale that last strand until the last time I attempted it. I caught on the wire and rolled through some bushes. Upon picking myself up and taking inventory making sure I was fine, I told myself that doing shit like this could get myself killed, so I quit.

Good times!

It amazes me as to why they don't pen a more personal introductory letter, for most are able to read through their ruses upon reading similar copies (above). At the very least, a well-crafted letter would increase their click-through rate.

Hell, if I were a scammer I would link to a Twitter page already set up having a shitload of followers (if paid for, it wouldn't be very much) announcing that ONLY 9 lucky recipients outta ONLY a thousand emailed will be entitled to such-and-such. Of course, in reality, 100K+ emails would be sent and no prizes awarded, while the dude formally living in his van down by the river increases his wealth off the backs of those who work for a living. (damn, that last sentence sounds like some coiners here trying to advance their wares)

I currently hold two rental properties. One is in the final stages of being rehabbed and the other is done, waiting to be filled by a tenant.

I just applied for a refinance mortgage for the two properties and was denied due to having insufficient income to support the loan.

Personal income is ~$40k/yr <---------- This is low for a decent real estate agent
Rental income on these two will be $1675/mo
A good deal of cash reserves

FICO ~640

ARV of both properties is ~$160k , looking for $100k in refinance (62.5% LTV).

I'm waiting on the 'official' denial letter but did get a call from the branch manager stating that I was denied. I'll be looking at what all is on my credit report and if there's some loan/property in my name I'm not aware about, as I should have very, very little tied to my name in terms of monthly expenses/loans.

This is means he is holding properties in his own name using his own credit profile. You decide how you feel about that.
He could not obtain financing on his personal credit thus turned to the bitcoin community, nothing wrong with that. But checking his post on Bigger Pockets looks like he had failed at every other type of fund raising he had tried.

Property bought or sold between 6/1/13 and 7/10/14
Having problems finding any of the properties he has listed

Search of street name "logan" with no hits on his company or name.
http://pickaway.iviewauditor.com/Results.aspx?SearchType=Address&Criteria1=&Criteria2=&Criteria3=logan

We've been over this at least once (More likely twice in the thread). None of the properties are held in my name, they're all under the LLC's umbrella. W. Mill and E. Mill both had to be purchased in my name as a investor rather than the company. On the totem pole of purchaster types, investing entities are the lowest (NPO>Owner-Occ>Private investor>corporate investor). The properties were quit-claimed back I think in March I think since I was able to pay one filing fee, one title search and have both properties transfered to the LLC for the same fee.

At one time, aged entities (LLCs and S-Corps) were worth a mint due to automatic commercial underwriting giving aged entities priority. Back in '06-08 you could get almost an automatic $50k-$100k worth of financing if your business was old. It was so popular that entity brokers were selling 5-10 year old LLCs for $1,000-$2,000 with absolutely no history. I made the choice to pay the $50-$75 conversion fee to rename & reorient the company from my brother and I's old paintball LLC to the real estate related one. Because of this on bank documents the entity shows as a 13 year old one and not as a 5 or 1 year entity. If we ever get back to the situation where commercial loans are being automatically underwritten, it's going to be well worth it.

As I said above, all 8 properties are in the LLC name, the auditor's department has a very slow database when it comes to updating the public side. If you look at the actual addresses it shows the current updated tax biling address, the recorder also shows much more current data.

With regards to my personal income - The average US real estate agent makes $52k/yr. The average home sales price in the US is right around $200,000. Our town has a median sales price of $105,000. So, based on your assumption I really should be making only about $25k/yr. I have almost entirely phased out my real estate sales to pursue RS full time, so that certainly hasn't helped my personal income too much.

I find something alarming here, maybe branny can clear it up.

Why can I not find any of your properties listed in your name or your business name? When I pulled you background report is says you own 4 properties, something we should know about?

http://www.midohiorentalhomes.com/future-rentals/

Has some other guys sign out in the yard? and you are renting it out?

Edit: I was asked by the person who requested the report to stop until branny answers some questions.

The question that is killing me is who owns the properties? This is kinda a big issue as I myself own a 16 plex apartment building in the D.C area and know a bit about real estate investing. When I buy properties I put them in a trust, NEVER EVER EVER in my own name. 1 Lawsuit and all your properties and investors properties are gone, like lets say you get in a car accident the people sue you and now you lost all those properties to some ambulance chasing lawyer.

When we get our properties in-contract, I've been putting them up on our public website in order to build interest. Rentals are still in phenominal demand and I want to build our website and FB page's traffic. So far, only one of our propreties has been rented via 'traditional advertising (paper) and the rest were online. In the case of Walnut & E. Mill street, because of  the way I advertise we were paid in FULL for 1 month's rent and deposit 2 weeks before the properties were renovated. I'd much rather be in a position of getting early applicants than waiting 1, 2, 5 weeks after the rehab is done to find a renter.

Part of the reason I don't post the ownership information online is because one simple search relating to the US LLC will now show this thread and the screen names of the investors in this thread. Tenants could do it, laywers could do it in the case of a suit.

The thing about liability is that there *should* be multiple layers. In our case the first line of defense is insurance - We have a total of $12,000,000 worth of insurance on our properites all together. On top of this we are adding another $2,000,000-$5,000,000 umbrella policy to the LLC itself to build a second line of defense. The third line of defense is the fact that we're under a LLC, if we get sued *normally* the LLC is only sued and not the owners (me) since our operating agreement only shows the HK LTD as a minor stakeholder in the business. The 4th line would be me in a catastrophic event, 5th line would be the HK LTD. All of these layers of protection are to avoid any connection between a property sitting at XXXXX and you guys. If you TRULY want to start digging up the addresses and who lives there, my concern is that you're all opening yourself up to some liability.

As far a background report, i'm not sure what report you're talking about. My name is on 2 properties I purchased with my brother in 2007, I've been pretty clear about these in the past and even more so on our IRC channel. The other 2 might be E. Mill and W. Mill that were temporarily held in my name while they were quit-claimed over to the LLC because it saved us something like $5,000 on their purchase price.

I find something alarming here, maybe branny can clear it up.

Why can I not find any of your properties listed in your name or your business name? When I pulled you background report is says you own 4 properties, something we should know about?

What Branny owns is his affair.

Properties owned by his company are the business of his company, Investors can request information in the normal way.

Why are you asking it like this in such a public forum?  Most reasonable people would ask quietly and then maybe go public if there is an issue.  I feel comments like "I find something alarming here" imply you have an agenda.

Are you an existing investor or someone trying to pick holes in something which is starting to be a success?

I think Branny is away for a few days so you will probably have to wait a while for an answer assuming he can be bothered to tell you.  In the other hand you could go and check the records directly in Circleville.

Andy

I am just doing what I got paid to do Smiley, I research and pull info.... SO I DID PULL THE CIRCLEVILLE RECORDS if you can read. Think this is kinda important info for him to address and might be of future interest to any investor.
I could have went about it in a way more disruptive way believe me. You should have just let him respond, its not your choice to decided the question I can or can not ask.  In so many words Andy I am telling you to eat a big bag of dicks  Wink if you could not tell. Let me do what the kind person paid me to do, ask questions and find out answers.

We own properties in 2 different towns in Ohio, both in different counties. Both counties run on the same outdated auditor system. The recorderer system is much more current, and if you couldn't find any properites in my name it means you only searched the Auditor's outdated system and didn't pull from Realist or the recorder's office in any county.

Additionally - MOST of the deeds/current auditor records/addresses/more in-depth information has been provided to the top shareholders of the company. I do my best to be extraordinarily clear with them via chat, skype and IRC, however since Google craws & caches this thread on a hourly basis, I try to avoid additional information on here.

You do realize that no matter how hard to try to not have the information published so that your tenants don't see any relevant information, all that is now thrown outta the window due to going this BTC thingie route, don't you? I'm not trying to be an ass here, but every property you currently have in your portfolio, I now know each and every address, as do others I'm sure/hope for your investors sake. Any one of us can now publish all the information you're trying to keep close to your chest, as I've already stated.

It sure does seem odd to have this entity attached to some Hong Kong outfit and mask the Whois of http://www.midohiorentalhomes.com/ while other aspects (not all) of you and your bother's entities are readily available, albeit I've uncovered multi-personalities of your two.

To me, this ain't passing the smell test especially since it's attached to Havelock.

Amazing how about a year ago Benny went from the above to on the heels of garnering a million bucks via Havelock, an entity not in good standings in the Bitcoin community.

BitPay! (I have no qualms with Coinbase)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that http://www.bgclubfoxvalley.org has been vetted and passed muster to receive a $1,000 endowment from Bitcoin 100 provided, of course, they embed a Bitcoin donation onto their website that's somewhat predominately displayed. The only other caveat is that we hope that they strongly consider BitPay as their payment provided, albeit there's no takeaway points if they choose Coinbase (with apologies for refraining from referring any other payment processor).

Once it's set up, I'll instruct Rassah to forward the funds. Please PM me if you have any questions or concerns.

Hey Guys

I know it has been a while since I have updated this blog, however I will be getting back to it sometime in August covering more areas of taxation which I have I have been researching on. I have been extremely busy with work with a couple of Client Company filing deadlines coming up at the end of July 2014.

A quick message. I have been receiving several messages on Facebook, and LinkedIn from customers and other individuals interested (more so over the last couple of day's) referring me personally in forums and on this blog asking for answers on certain issues.

I will answer the types of questions/accusations which have been put out about me which have been put out and answer them here (this is not representative of anything official from Alpha Technology and is my personal views and thoughts):

Q's) Why haven't we gotten an update in so long? What has happened, why aren't you updating us? Did something go wrong? Etc.

A) Firstly, I'd like to clarify as I stated in the blog above. I am not involved in or responsible for ANY of the operational side of Alpha Technology, therefore my guess to the answers to these questions was as good as yours.

I was previously employed on a part time basis (working on evenings and weekends), as accounts manager to help out with bookkeeping, liaising with external accountants and payroll.

I can confirm that I am currently not employed by Alpha Technology and neither am I receiving any type of remuneration or wages from the company. I am currently only carrying out payroll duties one day a month and liaising between Alpha Technology's Accountant’s and Alpha Technology, a couple of hours a quarter.

Back to the question above, I have spoken to an Alpha Technology employee with the questions raised to me, and he assured me that nothing has gone wrong, there is a short delay for various reasons (did not go into specifics), and a big update is soon to come.

I also raised some of the concerns that I have been receiving and my own concerns about this. However, I was assured that everything is going well and they are waiting on information from external parties before releasing an update.

Q) Your blog means your terms are illegal and you’re not complying with distance selling regulations (DSR)? Please explain? Did you use solicitors or did you make them up yourself? Did you use a solicitor from moss side?

A) I am an accountant and not a lawyer. I am not qualified to give legal advice and neither do alpha technology use me as legal adviser. The last time I checked, all of Alpha Technology’s legal situations were being dealt with a pretty well re-known international law firm which is not based in Moss Side (not that there is anything wrong with solicitors based in Moss Side, I am sure they are very competent) and I do know that quite large sums of money have been paid to this law firm (as I have seen invoices because used to do the book-keeping), in order to ensure everything is legally up to scratch. So I am guessing that all rules and regulations are being complied with, and I would be surprised and extremely concerned if they were intentionally not being complied with.

On another note, my blog is a “Tax Blog” and not a DSR or a Legal Blog, and as a professional I cannot and will not advice on any area that I am not qualified to do so in. However, I would like to make the following point; the issue of whether or not people are businesses is a much wider concept than that of trading. So just because the badges of trade fail from a tax perspective, doesn’t mean that they are not in business from a legal perspective. A very simple example is an investment company that buys securities and just takes income, is a business. So, people referring to the HMRC link in my blog, or using my blog to justify a complex legal concept and applying it to a situation, are wrong in doing so and completely out of their depth. Please, obtain advice from legal professionals who are qualified in this area of law and use their advice as a source and not some self-proclaimed “expert” on a forum.

I am no expert in this area, however, if this situation was as simple and straightforward as some of these self-proclaimed “experts” are suggesting in certain forums, which I have just had a skim read through, and for arguments sake Alpha Technology’s solicitors who are actually experts in this area were wrong or Alpha Technology misunderstood the advice, I am sure Trading Standards or any other regulatory body in charge of this would have forced Alpha Technology to change their terms to comply by now. I mean it has been 7 months or so since these terms went up. (Again, I am no expert and neither do I speak on behalf of Alpha Technology… Just my thoughts)

Q's/Accusations) Have you scammers, ran off to India? You terrorists, you are funding Al-Qaeda? I bet your driving around in a Ferrari right now, you criminal fraudsters /bas***/crooks. Etc.

A) I personally am disgusted at some of these accusations, racist comments, and childish internet bully-like behaviour. Albeit, the majority of the abuse is coming from people who are not customers, and want to sprout their hateful comments for reasons they only know.

On a personal note. When I was a part time employee/director of Alpha Technology I put in a lot of time and sacrificed a lot of my personal time, which I could have been spending with my family and friends, in carrying out accounting related duties for Alpha Technology. I asked to be paid a minimalist salary and was paid a salary which equated to less than UK minimum wage (I was only paid for 3 months work). Before that and after that any work I have been carrying out has been free of charge to Alpha Technology and at my own expense. Before Pre orders were taken, I loaned Alpha Technology several thousand pounds of my own personal money to help get the company started. As it stands, I have given Alpha Technology several thousand pounds more of my own money than I have received back to date from the company in any form.

The same can be said for the other employees of Alpha Technology. I do carry out payroll duties and I do know that they are getting paid very modest salaries equating to around the UK minimum wage mark. I also know for a fact that to date my brother (CEO of Alpha Technology) has also borrowed money from several family members and loaned the money to Alpha Technology and to date he has put in more money in the form of loans than he has been paid out in any form.

My father (the final Akram whose name is mentioned in Alpha Technology). Has to date received ZERO remuneration or salary or any form of monies from Alpha Technology and loaned my brother (CEO of Alpha Technology) several thousand pounds of his own money, which was then put into Alpha Technology.

It may surprise some of you but as it stands, these "scammers", "crooks" and what not are currently several thousand pounds less well-off now than they were Pre the existence of Alpha Technology, due to the savings that they have loaned to the company in helping start-up the business.

Anyhow, I and my father would be grateful if you did not contact us with your abuse, especially considering the as we currently have no operational duties or responsibilities with Alpha Technology, neither are we employees of Alpha Technology and when /if we are contracted by Alpha Technology to carry out any duties we carry them out free of charge and at our own expense.

I would also like to clarify that we are Accountants and currently run a business which takes up pretty much all of our working time, and we have never been and never were to be involved in any of Alpha Technology’s operations. Our intention was simply to provide basic accounting help and advice to help start up the company, until it came to a point that Alpha Technology were in a position to pass on these duties completely onto an external firm of accountants, which they have done so to an accounting firm which is currently ranked in the top 100 accounting firms in the UK Smiley. I am pretty comfortable knowing they are in good hands.

I, and my father currently have little to no involvement or knowledge of the operations of the business. That is not to say that we do not have an interest in the business, we rightly do so as so much of our personal money is in Alpha Technology, and we could potentially lose it all in the unlikely situation if things were to go wrong.

And just to clarify and to summarise, NO we are not driving around in Ferraris or going on exotic holidays or funding any terrorist organisation with yours or our money Smiley. YOUR money is being used to develop and manufacture YOUR product.

Concluding Comments

I am aware that the vast majority of the customers have been extremely courteous and patient. I also know that this business, especially considering it is a “pre-order” model would not have been a successful venture without those people who took a risk. I would personally like to thank every single customer for that.

Please also note, that the majority of the people who seem to be abusing and hating are NOT customers, and I have no interest in pleasing them or addressing them because I know, that no matter what I, or Alpha Technology, or anyone who is involved with Alpha Technology says or does, these people will just continue picking dirt and hating (whether what they say with so much conviction is correct or not is a completely different matter).

From what I have been told, I believe Alpha Technology is still ahead of many of the competitor companies they were originally being put up against as competition originally, in terms of where they are and I believe Alpha Technology has been more transparent than many of these other companies. I believe from what I have been told, that Alpha Technology is nearing the end of the project and a working prototype will be demonstrated very soon.

And again to clarify, none of what I have said here represents Alpha Technology or their views. I am purely stating my personal opinion as someone who also has put a lot of money in Alpha Technology, and is patiently waiting for the successful completion of this project to see my money back
.

I see he and his father are trying to distance themselves from Alpha. This is not a good sign. I find it interesting that after claiming to have invested thousands of pounds into Alpha, an "employee" wouldn't tell him, or he didn't care to know what the delays were.
I Also see he still has not disclosed this "international firm of solicitors" (just got an upgrade from a "leading UK firm") Presumably the same firm that wrote this typo ridden garbage:

Quote
"For clients whom have ordered before the 1st of July 2014, the terms at the time of your order are still in effect and will remain in being in effect. We will link them from within this document soon, so you may review them in the event you did not store a copy for your own use.

Shipping

We hope shipping will start in the second or third quarter of 2014.
Shipping will commence as soon as possible after your payment has been received. We do our best to get the hardware to you within the shortest amount of time possible. Due to the very high volume of orders we experience and limited hardware availability, we may encounter delays. Non the less, we will do our utmost best to ensure you will always receive your product within 90 days."

If their comprehension of the law is as good as their grasp of time, spelling and grammar I can see why they got it so wrong.

I think the post above is correct. The accountants in the family who played a role in this should be reported to the CPAA. They are clearly trying to distance themselves from this mess so they at least survive with their careers in tact. But as employees of this enterprise, former or otherwise they should be held accountable. Let the CPAA decide if their part in this debacle deserves sanction or not.

Non-employee my ass!

We have an english verion with a different UI.  We'll send it to you tomorrow. That may have been just a mixup of sd cards that we'll look into.

Here's an IDEA.

Power up the units and test them before shipping them out. Y'know, Quality Control? Google it if you don't know what it means.

I'm amazed that you can still make mistakes like this, this late in the game. Get your shit together.

Even God got his shit together before shipping his creation.

It was a Dank and stormy night; the porn fell in torrents - except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept down the streets (for it is in London that our penny-farthings lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.

Phinnaeus Gage, your brother-in-law's leather work is stunning. I dabble in leather, but it's mostly making armor and such, nothing super decorative like that. I'll make sure to get in touch if I ever need something of that caliber.

As for the "Bitcoin Man" costume, it wouldn't be too hard (the jacket, pants, and cape at least). The difficulty would come from getting the logo all over...I could silk screen it, I suppose, or use Spoonflower.com (probably easier, cheaper, and better looking). The cape I'd do a single, big applique.

I don't know what you mean by the shoes -- generally Chucks come in fun colors, and aren't terribly uncomfortable.

I would have to do some research on the mask, and send you some sketches to make sure I've got the right idea.

Bolo would be pretty easy, I think.

My rough guesstimate for something like that would be $200/set. I can do more specific calculations if you're really interested. You'd be behind ZodiacDragon84 though, so it'd be a little while before I could get started.

Mark your calendar, VDB: Tennessee Renaissance Festival

The price does seem fair. I'll PM you the mask specs and why it's important. Shoes are not a problem. Mostly wanting the suit, cape and bola to work in concert with each other. This is what I'm leaning toward to now. Bitcoin logo cape, sliding physical Bitcoin on the bola, and the custom fit tailor-made suit with embroidered logos of companies that now accept Bitcoin: Memory Dealers; archive.org; Grass Hill Alpacas; ect. (just realized that I'll need to wear those socks) An example of the suit is pictured below. I'm thinking more casual than formal. As far as the bola, I'm considered hand tooled leather that Martin could do. Of course I'll have a Bitcoin themed leather wallet.

I would rather not include many Bitcoin only related companies, but would consider it provided ad space was paid for. It wouldn't be much, but would at least cover the cost of the embroidery.

I always did like this guy.

I can't believe why this hasn't gotten more attention back January!

Supposedly, it was confiscated at the gate by NSA. I requested a simply single pic of it but such wasn't delivered, and the person who was supposed to bring it in never replied, in spite of being informed that she could keep the double sided banner. The front desk at the hotel informed me that it was indeed picked up shortly after Kinko's dropped it off. I paid right at $500 outta my pocket (not complaining) to bring this to fruition, but no joy.

I'm also the one that got the ball rollin' on getting a flag to the South Pole, but that didn't make it.

I'm somewhat glad my Mount Everest quest didn't go forward due to the tragedy there this spring.

At least we'll have a Bitcoin Bowl this winder thanks to BitPay.

I was thinking of this a bit of go, and it just struck me that it could be possible. What if one were to create a bitcoin exchange that only deals in high volume bitcoin trades, such as those in excess of 10 BTC. This exchange could be a place in which people go who have a large amount of bitcoins, or cash, and are looking to exchange a high volume, instantly, instead of having to wait at a normal exchange.... Would this kind of exchange work and would it be used?

Why must everyone always have made my ideas xD
because your first 1000 ideas won't work or already exist.  the 1001 idea is what you are after.
Keep at it!! Smiley

There are those that thunk it... and then there are those that build it.

Who would've thunk? Hell, nail two normal-sized pallets together and hang them from a tree to made a hammock.
