17981  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL SC Order Dates / Ship Dates on: July 25, 2012, 08:45:23 PM

Any guesses or rough estimates for the "dark/unstated" orders to match these, based on the order numbers? 1:1? 1:2?

based on the order number, its at least 1:10
Then again, how many of those order numbers were for processing payments from other websites?  How many remain unpaid after generation?  Etc?

Each website has it's own set of order numbers.

I think he's running low on funds in his account due to demand.  Jeremy had me accept an eCheck instead of a typical transfer to my Paypal last night.  A little concerning because of the amount involved, but I trust him so hopefully it is just a temporary setback.  Really would like to see Amazon & eBay gift cards get brought back on there.
17983  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Singles Order Date / Ship Date on: July 25, 2012, 05:52:28 PM
wow

people are really getting these?

Why the surprise?

Well, I have not ventured out of the speculation forum for a long time...last time I checked the consensus seemed to be that the whole thing was a scam.

It appears that people are actually getting BFL product, albeit slowly.  That's awesome.  How are the real world hash/Watt numbers working out?  How many Th total have they managed to get in customers' hands?

The numbers are better than advertised and I'd imagine they've shipped several hundred units by this point.  You have some reading to do my friend.

A little late to the party... but could I suggest a name change to ButterFried Bags?

Had an order briefly stuck in the system, got fixed almost immediately.

But Paypal just froze the funds. I've contacted Jeremy, anyone else here got experience of these problems?

2 more BFL SCs were ordered yesterday bringing the total amount of hashing power on order to 320,000MH/s.
What is this on a per share basis?

Currently, it is 49.5MH/s ordered per share sold (mostly due to me putting up BTC for the first SC Singles out of my own funds).  However, more shares will be sold and more equipment will be ordered in the coming months.

17991  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does satoshidice.com own satoshidice.net? Or have I just been scammed? on: July 25, 2012, 04:29:57 AM
I lose 90% of the time on satoshidice.com and I only bet on the 75%+ addresses.  Maybe I should try satoshidice.net.

I bought a GPU from pirate once...  The package came from PA and not TX.

EDIT: pirateat40 has cashed out our BTC and is going to bet it all on RED at the tables in Vegas.  Good luck to us all.

Im eager to know, who the 1000 shares investor is.
@Unknown care to reaveal yourself?
It was actually 2,600 shares that were purchased at 0.5BTC/share by the mystery investor.  Not my place to name him though.   Wink

@ Nasty have you done a liquidity planning?
With the newest issue of stocks i'd love to see some more transparency regarding future investements, share issues etc.
I haven't done much thought with liquidity planning yet.  I'm still in hardware purchasing mode.

I have been scammed and know how to spot scams.

I've emailed Butterfly Labs asking why there was only 1 when the order was for 2.  Hopefully the next one shows up soon.

I received a response from Alicia at Butterfly Labs today stating that the 2nd Single from our 1st order should be shipped tomorrow and delivered later this week.
17998  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] NASTY - Free Electricity, GPUMAX.com, Free ASIC Upgrade! on: July 23, 2012, 05:01:08 AM
Use GPUMAX, as long as we don't have some of the timeout errors other have been reporting

I did notice we were getting some errors when a new block hit the network on GPUMAX.  It was causing a slight slowdown every few minutes.  I set cgminer to load-balance between GPUMAX, ozcoin & eclipse.  That seems to have solved the problem.
17999  Economy / Securities / Re: Is GLBSE also slow for you ? on: July 22, 2012, 05:06:17 AM

Im workin on it, Im workin on it.

Really the problem is programmatic, I can't just throw hardware at it.

The way to fix this is to add application servers (currently only one running), but this add a concurrency problem which under heavy load would mean that accounts wouldn't balance, there would be double trades etc.

I'm working on making this safe and scalable.

Can you simply disable the graphs for a while?  The pages are loading every trade since asset launch and the data is becoming very large.

The bids/asks graph in particular should be disabled if it would improve anything.

You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

I was satisfied being in love with a lie.
