181  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Overclock the Antminer S1 to 200GH/s] The EASY way! - updated to 393.75MHz ASIC on: May 03, 2014, 03:22:31 AM
Thanks for posting the code. i used the 400MHz code on one of my miners that has 0.002% HW errors. The S1 with better Q ASIC chips that I received a few days ago has a crack in the bottom area of the heatsink forward on blade #2 heatsink, meh! The temps vary 3 C on that side. I set up a push pull fan configuration for both of my AMS1s that lowered the temps by 3-4 C.

#2 is OC to 400MHz HW errors, 0.0587326999 %

#1 is default freq @ 350MHz, she is already in the range of 0.29% HW error rate, still good. zthe cooler I get them at default the less HW errors are produced.

DEDICATEDPOOL will be going down for about 30 minutes at 12:55am EST for some hardware upgrades.  We will be back up as soon as we can.  This is in about 25 minutes from the time of this post.

Make sure you have failovers setup.  We should be back up around 1:30am EST.

Thank you,

The pool has been disconnecting for 2 seconds at random since launch, please fix, this pool likes finding blocks.

Thanks for the pool and maintenance.

From what the majority of people seem to be saying, it sounds like having a small number of massive chunks (ie 1x 2000 coins) is better than many smaller chunks. It seems the speed increase you get by consolidating outweighs the benefit of the seemingly more compound interest that you would expect to get with many small chunks.

I just consolidated all my coins to test this theory a bit.

I keep my default wallet around 3,000+ with deposits from pools going in daily or weekly. My reserve wallets are 1K HBN and my trade wallet I keep around 1.5k HBN. 1,000 HBN will birth about 30- 36 HBN for me when split into different wallets.

New wallet 1.9 for Windows!

What's new in 1.9?
(1) latest checkpoints
(2) misc pull requests such as better unlock icons/interfaces etc from skwurp
(3) remove misbehaving peers from keremhd (pull request)

Windows (1.9): https://mega.co.nz/#!MJYQiLaJ!1rfP3Q8lh_wSfFGvfy3QZUSjJmambFZOBtfElV-lfXA

Thanks for the update Mintcoin team.  Grin

question about stake management.  Is it worth creating a second wallet file for stake, or can i just create another address in default for stake, and then transfer coins there, and then when they stake, move the dust out, and back in larger chunks?

And what is the preferred size of the blocks, right now I'm using 1000 coin transfers?  I read something that you want to reduce the CPU usage, is my goal...

http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Coin_Control

I created multiple wallets, one for trading another two wallets labeled reserve. My default wallet says I have a 50% chance of producing a stake every 57 min while the others say days, I did create the alternate wallets about a month ago.

I'm running the upgraded bamt 1.6 with SRC XXX's miner patch as per the GRS instructions for getting bamt to work to mine. I am running two Sapphire HD7950's. When I run it, the pool does not connect even though the miner is hashing away. As I understand it, the difficulty is set too high or I am not doing something right here. Below is my cgminer.conf file. Anyone who gets this working immediately earns 0.01btc:

Use a diff pool, I could not connect to that pool either. Last time I checked cryptohunger was at 60% efficiency, I solved the connecting issue by using a different pool with an efficiency of 100%.

Also you do not need to OC the memory, underclock the memory and undervolt it say to 1.4500v- 1.400v to generate less heat.

One thing I wonder about is if the FBI or people at Fincen.gov are monitoring these boards and markets. I'm pretty sure they are and will be interesting to see what the future brings. I myself will welcome regulation

Regulation? You better get out of Crypto if you want regulation to a decentralized technology.

Are you the forum post police? If you have noticed the Diff has increased significantly, usually it would be close to a Diff of 5ish and retarget at 3 so do not harp on my post guy, girl, shim.

why are you so rude? just don't flood the thread

Not rude, blunt. Flood the thread? I posted twice with the current higher Diff. and you say I'm flooding this thread.

You see? youre doing this again, keeping being rude and offensive, and flooding the thread.
It is sad, that such persons arise in this friendly community, but I guess there is some percent of them everywhere.
Ill stop this unproductive and unpleasant conversation, good luck mate.

Sad? My last comment rude?  I think you have a problem with people posting information about said topic otherwise you would have not even commented on what I posted in the first place. I could see this as a valid point if I was posting stupid memes and saying HBN to the moon. Smoke a joint go plant a tree and stop trying to police people posts and estimating a persons friendliness because of them being blunt in a response to defend themselves for being accused of flooding a thread with nonsense.
